Title: Max Factory/Berserk collaboration Limited Figma
Post by: sensui on July 13, 2012, 05:25:03 AM
Limited Guts Figma with vol. 37 as a special promotion collaboration with Max Factory:

I'm sure details are in the book of how to order 1, I don't think they're giving away a figma for buying a tankoban...unless it's a special edition that actually cost something like 4000 yen.

Thinking this might be it shown @ Wonderfest?

Everyone call out where you are buying it.  I tried to contact Tokyo Hunter but they never got back to me.

To all of those wondering about this, this is the definitive update regarding this figma.

It is to be bundled with vol. 37 as a special collaboration/limited edition you can buy.  So obviously this will be released when vol. 37 is released.....though there is no definite date as to when that is.  Even the figma mold at wonderfest shows the date as undertermined.

Tokyo Hunter won't reply to something he doesn't know heh.  Hang on tight, when I hear information I will update for you guys as long as someone doesn't beat me to the punch.

I'm no big figures' owner, but I might just get into this cool world by buying Berserk models.

You can just give them the ISBN code and they should be able to preorder it.  But some are more strict than others in that the item needs to be released before they order.

When you consider that this figure will include volume 37 and an astral form of schierke (which I'm really interested in seeing), at roughly $60 it's an absolute bargain and I don't know why anyone wouldn't pre-order.

Do we know if there's a head without the helmet?

I'm guessing there isn't because the rest of the figure is set up for the armor being active, like how its covering his arms and hands.

Whoops! No I'm sorry i got it wrong i was reading the auction on eBay and it listed those 2 heads and i thought they were extras as well as what the picture shows it's the angle it was on made me think it was different but you are right it is just the 2 heads berserker and sane

I agree it's great other then Schierke's mouth. Is she smiling? Almost looks malicious...just a very odd expression considering Guts. She should have a worried expression :)

Her mouth is open, as she is in the midst of action. Look more closely.

I obviously have a bad eye for this kind of thing :/ I wanted to give you the benefit of the doubt before my last post and looked really hard but only saw the smile and still only do. I'll have to revoke my opinion until I see a different angle. :P

EDIT: Ah! I see it now! Took a little bit of squinting but i can definitely see it. In that case it's a great figure, I picked up a different Guts figma not long ago and now I'm almost regretting not getting this one instead. Great to see figures of later stuff like Schierke.

Jlist (http://www.jlist.com/product/PRE1463) has two in stock, but at a much higher price (nearly twice the preorder price).  Otherwise, it's dependent on auction sites and resellers: eBay, Mandarake (http://mandarake.co.jp/), Jungle (http://jungle-scs.co.jp/index_e.cgi) or YJA (http://auctions.yahoo.co.jp/) at this point (it will take some time for resellers to list them, and expect marked up pricing and to pay a lot on shipping due to its heft), or have a contact in Japan possibly pick one up for you at a store.  This one is a limited edition run, and sold out at the pre-order level weeks ago.

For Mandarake and YJA, you'll need to enter search terms in Japanese to get the proper listings.  ベルセルク (Berserk), フィグマ (Figma), ガッツ (Guts) and 37 should work.  Good luck getting one if you go this route; you'll need it!

Pics ahoy

Haha amazing pictures, thedigitalsin! Assembly looks delicate (I don't have the best hands for stuff like that). That picture of Guts-Schierke in the bathroom is eerie, sort of from an episode of Twilight Zone - "What is this place? Did Griffith send us to the future?"

If anyone's looking for one in Canada, http://www.itcamefromjapan.com has them for bout $85.  I'd get that but shipping from Canada to US is as much as Japan to US, heh.

Am I the only one having trouble with posing it? Unfortunately it seems I choose to go with the most complicated one. Though it could be me not being accustomed to figures/this much agility coupled with my sausage fingers.

Does anyone know how to get that red force effect in the last pic TDS posted? When/where does that pic originate from? Was it just an early promo pic? My first thought was that its some bonus stuff from another character figure that some genius just experimented with. Since Im not really that invested in figures Im not sure but I was thinking of getting another figure with effects and experiment some myself. I know theres some Kenshiro figure out there with that sort of stuff. Does anyone know of some figure that comes with (a lot of) effects like that?

These look awesome. :guts:  I would love to see pictures, if you have them, of the process you went through to customize them.

Hey guys, hate to Necro this thread, but I just recently got Berserker Guts Figma and wanted to share my pictures with the community.

I've been a fan of Berserk since 2007 when I first watched the 1997 anime. I had my reservations at first as it seemed very period drama, but the  character development and interactions were so good it really drew me in. Then once we met Zodd I was hooked, and the eclipse had me insta-buy volumes 13-17 from dark horse (that's all that were out at the time).

I've been following it religiously ever since, but in the last 10 years, the only other media i've purchased were the PS2, and recent PS4 games.

I've been a big manga figure collector even before I started Berserk (with Kaiyodo Fist of The North Star and Max Factory Guyver), but I never rated the Berserk figures. Either QC never seemed up to par, or they were overpriced polystones.

Figma Berserker is my very first Berserk Figure, and i'm really hoping for a Ver.2 Black Swordsman and post eclipse Casca at some point! I'm also considering getting next months Void!

Anyway, here are my pictures, enjoy:
