Trailer here - recording from a phone

Seem to be mimicking Studio 4C, where it's a mixture of CGI models for some shots, and hand drawn for others?

According to a French member of Good Smile Company, the statue is 70cm tall and will cost 400Ä, which makes it around $540 US.
Fast forward to 8m20s to see Guts and Femto.

Saw it at Anime Expo this past weekend.   It seemed pretty huge, but that might have been due to the size of the Dragon Slayer and the cape.  I got a couple of cell phone pics but it doesn't do the figure any sort of justice.  Everybody in line at the Good Smile Company booth took pictures of it and heard quite a few amusing remarks, specifically, "Ugh, that's too gory for me!"

Totally brain farted on ordering this.  The usual places seem to be sold out.  Anyone have any ideas?

Jlist has two in stock, but at a much higher price (nearly twice the preorder price).  Otherwise, it's dependent on auction sites and resellers: eBay, Mandarake, Jungle or YJA at this point (it will take some time for resellers to list them, and expect marked up pricing and to pay a lot on shipping due to its heft), or have a contact in Japan possibly pick one up for you at a store.  This one is a limited edition run, and sold out at the pre-order level weeks ago.

For Mandarake and YJA, you'll need to enter search terms in Japanese to get the proper listings.  ベルセルク (Berserk), フィグマ (Figma), ガッツ (Guts) and 37 should work.  Good luck getting one if you go this route; you'll need it!

Pics ahoy

Berserk selling 7200 copies is considered to be decent in Japan, believe it or not.  It's not a runaway hit like Kara no Kyoukai, the Zeta Gundam movies or K-ON!, but assuming Studio 4C doesn't blow their budget or if the sales of films 2 and 3 drop like a rock, Berserk will be okay sales wise.

The last thing Ocean Group worked on for Viz is the yet to be released Inuyasha: The Final Act, which was recorded in 2009 and 2010.   That was more for continuity's sake as the previous series and films were done by Ocean back in the early 2000s.  The Death Note franchise is the only other title I can think of that Viz and Ocean have collaborated on in the past five years.  All their other titles have gone to various Los Angeles studios since the mid-2000s.

Viz tends to typically use either Los Angeles or Canadian studios for their dubs.  In recent years they've relied on Studiopolis, based in Los Angeles, for their dubs with titles that have broad appeal.  These include Naruto, Bleach and the upcoming Tiger and Bunny.   For smaller titles, they've used Salami Studios, also based in Los Angeles; such titles include Honey and Clover, The Prince of Tennis and Kekkaishi.  I would expect Viz to use a Los Angeles studio the new Berserk films, but whether it's a union dub or not is another story; if it's a union dub, they would able to utilize talent not typically heard in anime dubs.

Having said that, NYAV Post, which worked on the series dub for Media Blasters, opened a recording studio in Los Angeles within the last few years, and their dubs now utilize both Los Angeles and New York talent.  Viz might consider them now that the option's there, although to my knowledge they have yet to work with NYAV Post.

Japan and US have the same region when it comes to Blu-ray so you should be safe.

I know you said Media Blasters but can't find that comment anywhere in their page
Where did you see it exactly?

It's sandwiched somewhere in the "Recent Posts by Others on Media Blasters FB Page" section.  Here's the permalink:

Something interesting to note coming from Media Blasters' Facebook page:

We wanted to [release the TV series on Blu-ray] but whoever releases the new movies will probably do them. They are waiting on the movies to be completed.

I don't recall if the link for the lyrics to AI's "Beautiful Things" was posted on pg 38 of the news thread or not but here they are.

Found a translation that's pretty accurate.

A gentle wind blows
On the water floats the moon
I cannot grasp it, despite my will
Sway and shine

Picking up the pieces of hope
Only to lose them again
Then for what, for whom
Do I fight?

These wavering thoughts
Concealed inside this heart
What lies ahead
I do not know

Still, no matter
I will move forward
Donít want to drown repeatedly in dreams
At this rate, life cannot go on
With these hands; the light of tomorrow

Raising my head, I ask
Will tomorrow bring the same sky?
Like a hawk, Iíd fly high
If I had wings

With the flow of clouds
Soaring high in the air
No suffering, no pain
Does such a place exist?

Wishing to feel the light
But now in the darkness
My voice, no one can hear

Still, no matter
I will move forward
Donít want to drown repeatedly in dreams
At this rate, life cannot go on
Something irreplaceable; for their sake

Now, a place without suffering
In pursuit, smoldering, into the flames

The seasons go round and round
From here, let us start a new journey
Now, this moment, hold your head high

Oh, warrior
Like a hawk, fly high
Over and over again, never giving up
Moving forward today, never looking back
I wish someday to be loved
Thatís all

But for now I am on my own

As the resident figma fanboy, I'll let you guys know when he goes up.  He'll likely be priced around the same as Guts was when he was available for preorder (roughly $35 before shipping costs).

It was a pain in the ass to record and took forever to load, but here's the first ten minutes of the film.  There was no fullscreen option (only one to make the video slightly bigger) so enjoy my Firefox Miku skin!

Note that a bit of the footage here has been censored, but will be shown in its uncensored entirety in theaters and its eventual home video release.

Got him in today.  Need to run out for the rest of the night so I can't really dissect this thing and take quality pics until later, but initial impressions are that he's a solid figure.  Only knocks against it are the wash used on his angry face (it's a bit too much) and the material used for the cape.  Hope those are less of an issue with Griffith.

Here are photos of the final figure in hand.  Looks good for a mass produced figure, although it looks like the wash on his skin is going to vary, and it doesn't seem to have much drybrushing on the breastplate compared to the promotional shots.

It looks as though Guts will be getting two separate heads, which is a bit unique for figma.  Instead of full heads with joints, figma typically get various faces with different expressions.  You would swap them by pulling out the front hair piece, which saves some money on production costs.  It seems Guts' hair was too short to be able to make the bangs removable and not have it interfere with the sculpt.

Figma Guts should be shipping soon if you've preordered him.

Also, Guts will have company soon:
