My concern would be if she remember what happen during the period while she was insane. For eg Farnese and schierke.

Or if she remember that back in vol 23, Guts did accidentally tries to harm her.

I am not sure why, but inferring from the illustration, Grunbeld seem to be Guts in another parallel universe where he was chosen to be the one to do the sacrifice instead.

The panel where she hold the dying girl kind of resemblance the 13th volume cover of Berserk.

Great episode! Once again Thanks Aaz and Puella for the amazing translation! Its good to finally see Elfhelm after so long...

- While the scarecrows likely don't pose too much danger to Guts, I'm curious to see how Schierke will deal with this. Especially with her peers, who seem as young as she is (maybe even younger?). IT'S ON! DUEL OF THE WITCHES!

I was hoping the scarecrows to be as skilled as Azan/Serp and a group of them taking Guts at once, posing a real life threatening battle with Guts. Afterall this might reflect an entire level of difference in warding and magical defense as compared to Flora Mansion.

If not its just another mowing session for Guts which we have seem him doing so often now.  :ganishka:

Thanks Aaz for the scan and explanation. As usual every new episode is just too awesome to express in word.

I was wondering though, if they are really out of danger. Judging from the last panel they are still within Falconia.

And I am just curious regarding Rakasha intention of using his claws, from what I can see his brute strength could easily rip a horse apart, I wonder why is there a need for claws to split erica's body.

Amazing story as usual! Had a great time reading the newest episode!  :badbone:

Since they haven't been living there recently, it would only be one possibility among others, but I agree that Rakshas would likely be clued in on its location. That being said, he would still probably need to get leave from Griffith to go on a hunt to a possibly far away location, and on a mission that Griffith might not particularly approve of to begin with.

Anyway, I would love nothing more than for the final confrontation with Rakshas to take place in the Bakiraka's secret hideout, with him trying to take them all on... and maybe Guts' band as well?! :rakshas:

Is there ever a possibility that Griffith might send him on a suicide mission to get rid of him? Such as approving the manhunt to the hideout. Since he probably anticipated that the chance of Rakasha going against the entire clan might be slim.

Anyway anyone actually read up on the spin-off SNK series, before the fall?

I find that the protagonist kyukuro have a very similar background as Guts background. Born from a dead mother womb and ppl feared him.

I just finished reading the manga as well... gotta say its a fresh alternative to the long hiatus that Berserk is currently in.

Maybe SNK might have attracted more fans here if it does have this special element in it:

Very good news! I'm also wondering besides Azan as Griffith pointed out, if he might have the chance to encounter either one of the generals of the new band of the hawk. Maybe even see a younger version of Godot too.

I not sure about Godo making cameo appearance, he could be playing a big role in the main plot of the flash back as well, don't you people ever wondered how Guts met Godo and get acquainted with him?

Hopefully this flashback will also shed some light on Guts fetish for big sword.  :ganishka:

Quote from: Walter
Here's a comic I made depicting just how awkward that must be for Griffith.

That was really good.  :ganishka:

I really love this panel because you can really get a feel for the setting. The calm after the storm. The sky is dark and cloudy, all of them just waiting in the water with the deflated Sea God behind them.

Imagine the amount of scavengers it is going to attract... (The entire sky might be bird-infested  :zodd:).

I have another thing which bothers me with regard to these new films... that is the total showtime of the 3 combined together. Is it sufficient enough to cover the entire Golden Age Arc? The last I remember during the 1997 animated series it took them 24 episodes (exclude the first which was from the Black Swordsman Arc) to cover most of the Golden Age Arc, which also translate to at least 8 hours of running time. Not to mentioned that the 1997 series already omitted almost 2 volumes worth of content from it (which include battle with Silat, the Bakiraka assassins, Skullknight's appearance, Wyald battle, The raping of princess charlotte from the King etc.)

If you ask me, I would say the entire Golden Age Arc might need up to 10 hours of showtime in order for it to cover everything, I am pretty the these new 3 films do not meet up to that amount of showtime, hence I am pretty concerned on what will they will omit this time around.

P.S: Not sure if this concern has been posted before, if it does, I am sorry for reposting again.

I have another burning question though, does the ghost ship die with the Sea god?

Also is it me or the Sea horse is still basked under the protective beam from the four kings?

He couldn't feel his limbs, and he couldn't even lift himself. He used the pain to push himself up and be able to strike at the heart. It'll make more sense when the translation is out.

PS: Welcome back, Smith  :void:

Haha thanks  :guts:

Using pain to push himself up was something that surprise me really, because I always thought the armour kills pain, not induce pain.

Anyway thanks for the link and a very nice episode indeed...  :slan:

Yeah, those are definitely caused by the armor. And imagine the pain of having all that salt water gush onto his open wounds.  :mozgus:

I thought the armor has some kind of pain-killing effect?

Anyway I read through the previous few episodes and didn't quite why there is a need for the armor to pierce into his body? I know Guts was injured by the pulse of the heartbeat, but didn't that spike inducing effect comes into play only when you have broken bones or something? Did Guts suffered severe fractures by the sound waves?

Amazing episode  :guts:

What fight against an apostle has been tougher?

I would say the fight with Ganishka was probably just as tough, without Zodd flying abilities, there is no way Guts could touch him as well...

Very insane episode really...  :isidro:

I didnt expect sound waves from heartbeat can be this powerful... Usually the ears will be deaf first before any physical damage can be done to the body (Does that mean guts has the possibility of going deaf?)

Also judging from the bloodshot eyes, am I right to assume that the heart actually intensify (or control) its heartbeat on purpose just to repel Guts away?

Speculation Nation / Re: What will the Sea God look/be like?
« on: December 11, 2010, 04:02:25 PM »
It's either the Sea God or the merrows, that's for sure, and it's not necessarily a voice; the word she uses can simply refer to sounds.

Now that you mentioned, in episode 318 the sound that Isma hears again (and also caught the moonlight boy's attention) is from the Sea god?

I initially thought it was the merrows since the panel focus something underneath the sea rather than the cave which the sea god reside in.

Nice Epic Preview, Thanks Aaz for sharing with us...  :guts:

Just because it's called Fantasia doesn't mean there are going to be anthropomorphic mice and dancing broomsticks.  :femto:

Anyway, it's very exciting that a new arc is beginning. What we're witnessing is years in the making. Millennium Falcon has been Miura's longest arc ever. We've been with it for 8 long years, comprising 131 episodes across 12 volumes.

Just a clarification though... Isn't Millennium Falcon suppose to be 13 volumes long instead? Cause I remember it start from the begining of vol 22 and end at first episode of vol 35...  :???:

Anyway after vol 22, I realised each volume contain exactly 10 episodes also...
