Creation Station / Re:HOLY SHIT! Brand Spankin' New Elemental Icons!
« on: November 01, 2002, 10:38:01 PM »
So I wonder if the weapons Isidro, Farnese and Serpico hold have any connection to the 4 kings. And if they are, will they have some degree of control over thier corresponding elemental beings? LOL....Now that is going way to far.... :o

Nice renditions by the way Griffith!!

Wow! this spell sounds very intresting, but why would she summon them if they are fighting weak trolls Guts could probably take them out easily.

That is exactly what I was thinking. If these are "angels" or "deities" she is summoning then why summon them here? I would think that she would want to save her bigtime magic for the final showdown.

Or maybe she wants to make an example of the town. These people are problably are brainwashed. She may want to show them the truth and the world they have been led to believe is false.

Most of whats on Kazaa is the main Berserk song, forces. But today I was actually lucky enough to get a listing of many of Hirasawa's songs.

um, how's that lucky? You'll find a complete listing of his songs on his website. .

Oh I meant I got a listing of downloadable mp3's on Kazaa, but this morning I tried again and got only Forces this time.

Character Cove / Re:Kermit = Griffith

I was watching The Muppet Movie the other night, and believe it or not I happened to notice some similarities between it and Berserk. ;D
Particularly between Kermit and Griffith. Check out Kermit’s dream speech when he confronts himself and see what I mean. Kermit's name is in bold, his "other self" is in italics.

Kermit: I brought 'em out here in the middle of nowhere. It's all my fault.

Kermit: Still, whether you promised them something or not, you've got to remember... they wanted to come.

Kermit: But... that's because they believed in me.

Kermit: No. They believed in the dream.

Kermit: Well, so do I, but...

Kermit: You do?

Kermit: Yeah. Of course I do.

Kermit: Well, then...

Kermit: Well, then... I guess I was wrong when I said I never promised anyone. I promised me.

Definitely parallel’s Griffith and the Hawks.

Jeeeez, thats wild!! Good find man.

Very good! Thanks yet again eirias!

I think I understand whats going on. The church is the homebase of the trolls and the entrance to it is right under the alter (just like the DC game :P ). The priest is in on the whole thing and is probably supplying the apes with human flesh as payment. But now the apes are becoming restless ever since the black swordsman arrived and the priest is blaming the whole thing on Guts. Thats cliche but I think its whats going on here.

Hey thanks!!

Isidro briefly goes to get himself some action and comes tearing back around the corner followed by a few dozen trolls.
Ala Indiana Jones ;)

Shootin' the Breeze / Re:American Dragon Ball Z Movie !?!?
« on: September 11, 2002, 10:09:44 PM »
I stopped watching DBZ alittle bit after the american voice actors changed. Its got a cool story though, I just couldnt get used to the newest voice talents (if you can call it that :P)

A live action movie wouldnt be so bad if these key elements are met:

- Movie(s) not geared towards the kids
- Usage of Matrix-like effects (getting the actual special effects team responsible of it would be even better)
- Stay with the story 100% (this means sequels)
- Director MUST be a DBZ fan who wants to do it justice
- Actors are all unknown yet talented

There are more I'm sure, but those are the main points I can think of.

Speculation Nation / Re:The Beast In Elfhelm.

I agree he did attack him, but the flaming children were touching him. Guts usually kills any creature that threatens his life.

What would hold him back? Not what, but who. That would be the SkullKnight. From the little hints we've been given, I'd say he owes them.

Anyways, why the hell would Guts beat down the elves? What did they ever do to him but help. He's got nothing against them. If it werent for thier indirect help, he'd be dead...on a couple major occasions. He knows this.

I vote the Hague

One Hague to rule them all
One Hague to find them
One Hague to bring them all
and in the darkness bind them.

'them' are PL and his followers ;D

Character Cove / Re:Skull Knight’s Place
« on: September 06, 2002, 01:19:44 PM »
Well one thing we need to realize is that the Skullknight is still shrouded in mystery. Just because Flora thinks he still has 'his humanity' doesnt mean its true. Maybe he's decieving or 'using' her too.

Think about it, (assuming he IS Gaiseric) he was the emporer of a country that he alone united. It takes more than a winning smile and a big sword to accomplish that. That takes ruthfulness, shrewdness, calculation, resourcefulness, determination and influence...sorta like Griffith. Most people can change, some people can't or won't.

No, it wasn't. ^^;

oh....ok :-[

very humbling...all I can say....very humbling  :)

Puck was talking about Guts himself? Interesting...I can accept that. I won't ;)

Because...wasn't the Dragonslayer forged from the ore in the fairy-enchanted mine next to Godo's place? Hence, the reason why Puck would say such a thing.

Speculation Nation / Re: Beherit Analyzation
« on: October 02, 2001, 10:47:37 AM »

Where did you read that? ^__^;;;

In the beginning of the game after he takes out the bandits, Puck mentions that Guts carries his house(referring to the sword). I just interpreted it that way.

Er... ^_^;

Somewhere in this messages board or BSOM's board, someone said that Puck sensed an elfen aura about the SkullKnight. I am pretty sure it was mentioned...anyone??

Speculation Nation / Re: Beherit Analyzation
« on: October 02, 2001, 07:58:44 AM »
hmm....perhaps the SkullKnight's diet doesn't end with behirits..... :o

Speculation Nation / Re: Beherit Analyzation
« on: October 02, 2001, 07:24:40 AM »

"Protected"... Well... Maybe not.
Don't forget that Rochine and "her children" were in a valley where Elves used to live...

In volume 14, the Skull Knight said that the cave was a good place to hide...
Maybe those places can hide branded persons, not exactly protect them by repelling Specters and the like...

Ok. puck being and elf, he can sense other elves or the aura of elves nearby. He sensed elfen aura with the Dragonslayer, godo's mine cave, and the cave in the video game (Does Miura accept the game storyline as part of berserk??). Ofcourse he was right, he's an elf afterall. Now try this on, is he also correct about the SkullKnight elfen aura?? Did the elves have something do with the SkullKnight's strange power? Also, didn't the SkullKnight sense the elf powder in the pouch Rickert had when they escaped the eclipse massacre?

My fav movies are Last of the Mohicans, Braveheart, Star Wars TPM, and Gladiator. In that order! Sad sad endings that involved a great loss to fulfil a grander purpose.

Berserk may end this way as well, despite what Miura says NOW.... :'(

Wouldn't that be a "happy" ending(in a cruel way)??
