That's precisely what seems to be happening here.

OK, thanks for making things more clear then!! :serpico:

Looks like blood given the way it's splashing out, but it could also be evil spirits flowing out of the place.
Resembles what Daiba looked like when Schierke looked closer at how he was floating. In this case though, it'd just be a bunch of ghosts floating in and around the ship.

Could specters/ghosts possess the ship itself? So that they can control it? I mean instead of possessing the presumed dead pirates! To me it looks like eyes glowing somehow in that panel (another random.... and bad guess, probably :schierke:)

Ah one more thing. I really like the depiction of ghosts in the third page. Very cute :serpico:

Right I like it, too. Looks like Captain Pirate won't see it coming! :chomp:

Moreover that does seem to overflow from the ship? the Ghosts?

To me it looks like it could be blood??

Man, Asmer should get something taken away for being 100% wrong on this prediction  :ganishka:

Sounds fair to me...... :farnese:

But who would have guessed those pirates would be asking for more!!!!!! :guts:

Thanks for the pictures!!

looks like the pirates had been following the Sea Horse from afar like sore losers

Third fight with those pirates... But from what Aaz said, I guess this pirate captain may not be the next Silat!

I hope they won't meet any big obstacle before reaching the land! We had the fight with the Pirates already, so why not a peaceful trip for once... :guts:

I like the aforementioned possibility that the preview hints that they may be packing their stuff.... maybe to finally land!

20th Century Boys, which is also by Monster's author and has live-action version that follows it nearly exactly  :schnoz: no really I'm not kidding
20th Century Boys - science fiction mystery. Awesome stuff, if you want something different.

I'm just beginning Volume 22, and I have to agree I really enjoyed this manga! I would recommend it!! :guts:

(I guess both of you include the last 2 volumes, known as '21st Century Boys', under the name '20th Century Boys'?)

Even if it has to do with the way Guts feels his artificial forearm, It's more likely to be subtle and subdued than anything else.

I had like to add that whatever may happen regarding Guts' arm due to the merging of the worlds may be cancelled if ever the worlds were to "un-merge"...?

So if Guts was able to feel his missing arm, or even more: move it like a real one, and then one day not anymore, wouldn't it feel weird? :???: To me it would.

Or maybe we are considering that the merging of the worlds is something definitive, that can't be turned back? I guess we won't know it for sure right now...

meaning that it's likely a giant, translucent dome
Yes, good find!!! :isidro:

but a bit of a stretch
A bit of a stretch, but I can see the double helix there!!

Furthermore, only that very specific symbol is used, we've never seen any actual falcons so far.
Right, I must agree with that.... What is a bit misleading to me is that we don't know if that dream everybody had about a Falcon was part of the Holy See's religion, something that was awaited for a long time, or not. But with the little details we have about the Holy See's scriptures, I have to admit the Falcon symbolism can't be clearly associated with the Holy See.........

Something tells me you didn't read the whole thread carefully. :femto:
Well.... I tried to, but with all those colleagues passing behind my desk, and all those working people around here, it's not easy to read a thread peacefully at work!! :troll:

I wouldn't be so sure about that.
OK, I guess it's just my feeling then.... :farnese: However, I always interpreted the insignia/mark we've seen used by followers of the Holy See as some representation of a symbolized Falcon...?

Actually we do. Just look at this episode.
Argh, I "re-read" the episode before my previous post, and just realizes after your post that we do! :schierke: And it's somehow inspired by Rome I guess (the Colosseum, St. Peter's Square). But no church/temple in view (for now), that's for sure!

You must be talking about the prophecy of the Falcon of Darkness.
Exactly, thanks.

He was already part of its symbolism before, however that doesn't address グリフィス's point, which is that despite being a prominent figure in that religion, his city, Falconia, does not really bear its mark.
Right, what I meant is that the city itself has quite a lot of Falcon references, which in itself seems like a clear reference to the Holy See's aforementionned scriptures. To be even more precise, even if the mark we've been used to see is not clearly shown I don't have that "universal appeal" feeling that グリフィス did mention when looking at Falconia!
Furthermore for now we don't have any idea of what stand inside the city, so why not a "church" or a temple, who knows :???:?

the Holy See's famous insignia is not present in the facade of the new city

But if we consider the 'Falcon of Light' prophecies beeing part of the Holy See's doctrin (which I'm not that sure about?), can't we say that Griffith himself is now part of the Holy See's symbolism? As the long awaited Savior! (Some kind of messianic view as compared to "our" religions.....)

Like a new "insignia" for people to worship and to follow! :isidro:

everyone else on that list looks good

I agree with that! :guts:

As for a specific subsection for all those creatures, I had say it sounds like a good idea, too.

Characters section? What characters section?  :iva:

Well, of course I meant the Golden Age part of the 'Character GUIDE', appendix A.2 of the Encyclopaedia in other words!! :guts:

Sometimes it's hard to think in french and write in english!!!!!!

But I'll try again when the next break occurs, I know one day Anna will make it! (Damn, even the Ogre has it's own entry!! :puck:)

Seeing Anna in the latest episode reminded me of something I was told some time ago.....

Already considered and ousted Anna. Buzzsaw as well. Both for the following reason: near worthless characters.  If Anna becomes a more vital role in the future, then yeah, I'll add her.  Same goes for Buzzsaw.

Well, although her role hasn't been expanding a lot, she is now here for a long time, has been witnessing a lot of crucial events, and most important..... even Bazuso is now in the 'BERSERK Encyclopaedia'!

My question is : isn't it finally time for Anna to be in the 'Characters Section'?? :guts:

Speculation Nation / Re: What will Falconia be like?
« on: October 01, 2009, 06:42:23 AM »
with Rickert within the walls of Falconia would give Guts even more of a reason to head in

But HOW would Guts even know?

He choose to head for a very hazardous trip without Rickert, so I don't feel he would go to Falconia because Rickert is there.....

Furthermore, we don't know for sure Rickert's feelings about Griffith, but last time they met Griffith was riding on Zodd's back, so I guess now Rickert wouldn't trust Griffith the way he did before?

I'm as sure as everyone else that we'll see him again, but I'm not that confident it'll be in Falconia? :???:

Miura never showed Guts or Griffith like the "right", he show both like persons who fight for their dreams

Except that Guts is now fighting to protect those he cares for, while Griffith chose to sacrifice them... :schierke:

What I'm wondering is the more we see the extent of Griffith's power, the more unlikely it seems that Guts could defeat him, anyhow?!

Berserk Miscellaneous / Re: Miura uses real places in Berserk
« on: June 11, 2009, 09:38:22 AM »
there are several threads here about this very subject

Even for the fortress of Doldrey? I didn't remember that particular point, but anyway I think the real "Castillo de Coca" style is pretty uncommon, and it's cool to be able to see such similarities with a picture!!!! :guts:

but the castles arent really identical although there are a whole lot of similarities

Isn't it the point in "taking inspiration" from something?? :carcus:

Berserk Miscellaneous / Re: Miura uses real places in Berserk

Some of those are obvious matches, but the some are just generic castles

Well, looks more than obvious, as far as I'm concerned....... :serpico:

And to state that those are "generic" castles, you should provide pictures, too, otherwise it's hard to see.....

We have been able to point to real life weapons, even real life people (the Kushans), why not buildings?? :carcus:

Berserk Miscellaneous / Re: Miura uses real places in Berserk
« on: June 11, 2009, 06:18:29 AM »
and the other day I found a thread, withs several exemple that some buildings used by Miura are indeed Spanish.

That's a great post !  :guts:

Miura takes a lot of inspiration from real life objects/events, but seeing those pictures compared to the manga counterpart is really nice.

Word would get around fast that he had some kind of demonic power. I don't think that would do good to get people under his name, including the Holy Iron Chain Knight's and their respective group.
But his Band his mostly (or not?) composed of Apostles, some of them looking somehow Human, when on the other hand, a lot really look monstruous, so I guess its gonna be quite hard not to look demonic at all!
For me, I'm not sure his powers are as "high" as before, since now he chose a more human envelope. :???:

I'm speculating on pure altruism from the King.
Well, it's already been said, but if Puck, for any reason, was previously sent away from Elfhelm (a place he seems to know more about, according to his reactions), maybe by the King himself, I'm not sure his return would be that... calm...
As for altruism, I myself doubt about it! To use his "powers" (whose extent we still don't know about), I guess the King has to somehow trust Guts' Band, that would seem more logical to me.
One last thing is that "finding a boat" didn't seem that a difficult quest in the beginning, but it ended with a battle between the Kushans and the Neo Hawks....... So I'd say there's never anything that comes so easily, in BERSERK! :guts:

At least 3 did apparently, and not the strongest looking ones.
Hmmm... Are we sure those are Apostles? At first, I thought it was "kushan" beasts, like the one Daiba is currently sitting on!?... :-\
