Miura plans the overarching plot points and general storyline in advance, and maybe in that regard he's already got an idea of how it'll all end. However it's clear not everything is planned ahead when it comes to details, and that isn't just shown in the comment Walter quoted, but also in the fact Miura himself wouldn't bet on how much of the story remains to be written (well, that and he's commented on it in the past :iva:). You should know that the breaks in the prepublication used to be principally to plan the plot development (and it might still be the case for all we know).

Didn't someone ask him once if he was going to end it in a depressing way and he laughed and said he would like to finally give Guts and company their happy ending?

I remember from an interview or question he was asked possibly by one of you guys about how long he works, and he said something about working for almost 10 hours a day! Unless if he has another job.

Yeah, it's a cool program but it's actually not the genie, but how well do we know our own character and how well the public has established its database. Sometimes I feel like I failed because I might have answered one of the questions. But for sure it fails, it got Robin and Bucky mixed up, i guess they are very similar according to him.

Hmmmm, for a celebrity, Reese Witherspoon has kinda yellow teeth. For a celebrity I must say. Without bleaching your teeth, those look like normal teeth.

I'm using 64 bit windows 7 and I think it's fantastic. : D I can't compare to Vista though, because I avoided that bomb altogether. I <3 XP.

Yeah, what you will notice is that you will be able to install 32-bit programs a lot better than Vista. It's a good thing you went to 64-bit also because 64-bit is being pushed right now for developers to use. I would recommend 64-bit for everyone if your computer supports it.

Just to let you all know how good windows 7 is, I loaded it up on an old pentium 3 laptop I have which has 512 SDRAM. Install took about an hour and a half and wasnt as bad as you would expect. Good stuff!

O_O really? lol, because my friends are scared of installing it with a pentium M processor. Well anyways, so far I'm %100 satisfied with Windows 7, it's been a great update. The speed increase alone was worth it.

haha, I remember those.. then you just go into tastkmanager and kill explorer.exe and restart it.  :ganishka:

Yeah, but I would immediately get the blue screen of death before I had a chance to even put a finger on the keyboard lol.

The only time i remember needing a lot of ram is when those nasty loop holes in explorer would make you open the same exact window like forever and ever and ever and there was no way of stopping them because they were just invented...  :magni:

Be aware that there are certain limits on each version of Windows 7 for RAM. I believe the starter and home edition can only use I believe 8 GB's?  :ganishka:

I know that sounds funny but with the i7, i5, and i3 processors from intell, they run on DD3 Tri-channel, so its very easy to go past the 8GB mark.

I don't think the version of windows affects your RAM. It is the operating system you choose. 32 Bit limits you while 64 bit lets you use up to 196GB of RAM! I don't even know if I'll still be alive when you need that much RAM.

Well I just recently updated to windows 7. I'll tell you it's already a lot better and faster than when i was using.... Vista....

But if you go to the Ultimate Steal website you can get Windows 7 Pro for just $30 dollars. I thought this was a great deal compared to $200, but I still feel like i'm being robbed because how poor vista was.

Anyways, just wanted to share with you guys before you guys go out and buy it you can get it for much cheaper.

Ha, it's not all that bad.

With some work you'll find something to be passionate about (and hopefully you'll end up with a job doing it :D)

Right now my short term goals are to just keep saving up money, lose about 30 lbs (never gonna happen), and look for a decent desk chair

Longer term goals are saving up money for my trip to japan next year (also known as Shayryuken's Buy-as-much-f**king-berserk-merch-as-he-can vacation) and all the preparations that would go with a trip to another country.

Even longer than that I am working on getting my certificate in cinematography and hopefully moving to San Francisco to finish up my Education at the Academy of Art there. I wanna be a movie editor  :guts:

What is so hard about losing your weight? I'll tell you the biggest thing is sleeping right. sacrifice that extra hour you spend on your computer or just sitting around doing nothing at night. If you sleep well for 8 hours a day for a month it helps your body metabolize correctly. Second, don't over eat. I promise you will lose at least 5 to 10 pounds just doing these two.

Currently happy where I am at but I want to move forward to even more challenging projects from the technical side as even tho I do have some administrative responsabilities I rather keep on growing as an Engineer and in the future a Scientist instead that going in to management  (hopefuly with my companies Skunk Works division) .
I am also hoping to apply for my first patent either this year or the next:).

To finish my Masters in Engineering and complete my sweet Thesis on smart controls.

I am currently looking to buy a house as I am tired of renting and it seems I will be doing less work related traveling for the next year. I also traced a map with my gf of places we want to visit before we go ahead and start making children. It will probably finish with Japan as pretty much everyone else interested in travel here :)

:O Peter is on a journey to be a daddy? Congrats man all you have left to do to pull it off is let yourself grow a mustach :). So maybe for the next time I am in Chicago I will see a little pedro?

By the way I am proud of you Pedro achieving the American Dream :) with the exception of your Labrador must of them are really nice and playful, yours is pretty much an ass. I went to Nomad's house last year and his dog wanted to eat me alive, then he would relax and sit right by me looking at me so when I would finally start relaxing he would start barking at me again right by my ear!!

Grrr your dog better behave next time for I will come prepared tothrow firecrackers at him or use my sweet dog whistle Iphone app.

Nice man, I'm about to obtain my B.S. in Mechanical and Material Science Engineering. My GF just got a job at Northrop and I'm hoping to get a job somewhere that has a lot of machining and manufacturing besides just being stuck in an office.

I actually want to go into management and start my own company when I'm 40. I want to machine custom parts and design peoples' ideas. "You think of it, I'll design it and make it."

Movies, TV, Books & Music / Venture Brothers
« on: October 20, 2009, 04:37:41 AM »
Hey everyone. Do any of you guys like to watch the Venture Brothers?

I tried watching the new episode last night but something weird happen where they showed half of it and then... reshowed the entire first half of it again. Must have been a network error.

Well hope you guys enjoy it as much as I do.

Who is your favorite character and why?

For me it's between Doctor Orpheius or Brock. Doctor Orpheus because the whole Doctor Strange thing and Brock because he reminds me of Solid Snake.

ok ok, well I like him and if he got killed off I'd be devastated. He's always been like Guts' Piccolo or Tuxedo mask.

Yes, and you should be, too. :SK:

LOL, I'm sorry, I meant scared for skullknight... I can't multitask, study,  listen to music and think about SK at the same time. Not as talented as women are.
