Woohoo!  :ubik: Great that it is coming out in other languages and a good sign it might come out in English!

That's great!

I haven't actually checked to see if Dark Horse has said anything about Gigantomakhia in a while. Turns out nope, nothing...

Manga Mausoleum / Re: Should I read Episode 83?
« on: November 03, 2014, 12:38:20 AM »
Hello, I'm new here and just finished a read through of the series having finally completed my Dark Horse collection. I have a serious question regarding this Episode that I would like to ask experts.

Should I read this Episode?

I ask this never before reading it, and I'm worried that the contents will alter my view of the series in ways it shouldn't, considering Miura himself took it out of the volume. Normally I wouldn't be so worried about a "Lost" Episode, but I've heard this one covers series defining content such as God and whatnot. Mysteries of the Berserk world if you will. So I want to read it, but don't want to regret it later if such huge topics turn out to not be canon and are never brought up again.

Is the risk worth reading it? Am I just blowing the whole thing out of proportion?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

Hey there, I'm actually in the same boat, I only found out about the pulled episode when reading the forums this year as I prefer to follow the series volume by volume.  I have decided though, that in my next re-read of the series I will have a look at episode 83 in the intended order :).  Let me know what you think of it when you read it.

Thanks.  Didn't realize other people had this in mind as well.  Feedback is always welcome as I update it, there is some wiggle room for changes.

Just finished watching Chapter 1, and after getting used to the annoying English dubbing, (Although, I like Zodd's and some of the nobleman's voices better in English) I enjoyed it.  Thanks for spending so much time creating it.  As far as editing feedback goes: Some sections were seemless, such as the added scene with (Dilos, I think his name was?) trying to tell Guts, Zodd was destroying his men.  Although, it seemed like you got a bit attached to the Zodd fight scene, trying to show too much; there were too many quick jumps between mediums.
The anime scene added right before the '3 years later' battle scene in the movie was a great addition and flowed really well.  That's all I can think of, off the top of my head.

Is laughing looked down upon at your job?

Nothing to do with my job I don't think, I work in an office.  I think if people see something funny on their computer at work, the normal thing to do would be to supress their laughter so not to draw attention.  In this case I guess I couldn't hold back and people might think it is strange not to conform to tacit social rules.  Anyway, I find bits of psychology research interesting so don't mind me... sorry to go off topic.   :schierke:

I basically used to measure "this" (not quality per se, but... presence) here by post count, which is obviously problematic in its own way (though if one has lots of posts here and hasn't been banned yet they're probably not too virulently bad =). It'll be interesting to see how this dynamic adds to posting behavior. I did wonder if throwing this obvious old gag out there would get me downvoted, but fuck it, a bird's gotta fly (and crap).

Oh wow, that was great. I actually lost it at work, got a few weird stares from my loud laughter.   :ubik:

I'm also a fan of the karma idea (great word for it).  Not sure about being able to do a negative vote though, as this might be abused when people hold a grudge.  Although, you guys know the general community better than the majority, so I won't take your decision lightly.

More fresh pics from NYCC 2014!

The prototype looks like PVC with sights of casting process (the last picture). He is non-scale so final price may vary even for PVC, not to mention that there is no announcement yet. They can make it polystone so fans keep your fingers crossed.

Thanks for sharing, Looks great! I assume there is still some colour to come?  Yet another reason for me to go to Comic Con, still haven't been...

From my source these two pieces will be done with PVC, unlimited number.  You can order 5000 pieces and as long as you pay they will do it for you. Also max factory is known for rereleasing the products made years ago.

So if u like it go get them.  Each probably gonna cost You anywhere from 200 to 300 bucks. If you want a fairly unique / rare limited piece u gotta go elsewhere.

Also u can choose to get it two years later with around the same price. They will be steadily available.

Hi there, thanks for the information.  May I ask what your source is? Perhaps they have made an announcement on release dates? I'm sure everyone is eager to know.  If anyone else has any clue, feel

free to reply to my post - even if you only have a good idea what kind of release schedule time frames Max Factory normally put in place.  Also, I assume they don't have direct access to their products

to anywhere overseas if anyone has any good suggestions for a retailer?
