Thanks for the episode!

My first idea when I saw the "soldiers" marching out of the city was that they could wonderfully fit into the grand plot - apostles reveal their form and slaughter some of them along with all Kushan warriors and most important Raban gets to see that Griffith is not a man :carcus: I mean not not a human being.

Then I recalled that Griffith had foreseen this and so he knows about the "soldiers". Still, it will be pretty hard to let them escape in the midst of a battle without seeing anything supernatural. OK, have to confess, I really just want to see Raban leading a secret opposition to Griffith, but that does not seem possible given that Griffith already knows what will happen, doesn't he?  :griff:

Another sensation: Guts and Co are obviously sailing to Ireland. Yep, Berserk would certainly benefit from some Irish mythology

I don't think my predictions have ever been right.

Well, you cannot have everything. You have excellent translations and the respect of thousands of people who read them. Having the ability to predict Miura's plot on top of that would be ... fearsome  :void:

The nobles, led by Vandimion, may start gathering information about Griffith and his army, though I do not know how far their conclusions will lead them and whether it will be enough to hinder Griffith's plans.

By the way, Vandimion would make a powerful apostle, would not he? Vandimion becoming an apostle to counter Griffith - sort of like the ultimate clash in Hellsing. Sorry, Miura..

Thanks for the scans. Great!

I wonder if the appearance of the Pope will be enough to prevent some of the nobles from gathering around the Vandimion family and opposing Griffith's ambitions. I doubt they are pious enough to do whatever the Pope says. But with the focus shifting to Guts and Co  :???: (and possibly the Kushans next) we may only see the results of this conspiracy in a year or so.

Character Cove / Re: Supreme King Aolsier: Previous DS owner

Aolsier might be an apostle who for some reason was not satisfied with the nature of the DS. Or somebody we know took care of him.  :SK:

It has been stated that DS acquired special abilities as Guts used it to cut through spiritual beings, but I do not remember Guts having any difficulties with cutting through that monster which came to Godo's house. Could it be that DS was already special because of the first owner?

Incidentally, is that supreme king riding a skinny rhino or a unicorn? :puck:

I love the expression on Ganishka's face: "And they say terror is not necessary..."

A late post - I only now read the EPISODE and the translation.

I doubt Griffith could not see the approach of a such a huge army. Given his penchant for elaborated strategies, he probably has been busy preparing his forces for the ultimate clash with the Kushan army and that could be connected with the reason why he intervened so late and did try to save the nobles at the ball or the city. He needed the pontiff - he got him. Guts and the Co wiped out the legion of familiars, but his apostles were capable of handling the situation. He also got rid of Ganishka's fog - I wonder if he went there in case the task was beyond Zodd. The rest probably did not concern him. :griff:

Now it is time for a personal showdown with Ganishka - I wonder how Griffith will deal with him without revealing to everyone his own inhumane abilities (other than having every human being around already dead by that point - with the exception of Silat's group may be). Griffith's troops will also have to take their apostle form to overcome the numerically superior army led by Ganishka. A PR problem? :puck:

Speculation Nation / Re: Should Guts end up a King?
« on: March 30, 2006, 10:58:37 AM »
Seeing how devastating some of his wounds are and the fearsome opponents he has yet to take on, I too doubt there will be a happy ending.

It would be rather unrealistic if the Elf King just healed all those wounds with a waive of his magic wand, so unless Miura comes up with smth we never even thought about (I am sure he will) Guts will either become weaker (unbearable) or turn into a Skullknight-like creature, IMHO.

Thanks, Aaz!! You rock :SK:

So, we will have wounded "berserk", Schierke (can't even describe her state), budding apprentice, Serpico and elves against Daiba and perhaps more of his monsters?

It seems Guts will be more than half-dead by the time he gets to the elven king, if ever.

We'll also be waiting for you to get older :puck:. [Sigh...]

Hello, everyone.

Wanted to let you know how much I appreciate the website, this well-informed forum, translations and, of course, the scans.

My first post in the forum - could not say anything smarter  :casca:.
