Berserk Merchandise / Your dream Guts statue
« on: October 22, 2014, 02:32:38 AM »
forgive me if there is already a similar topic.

If you could have an artist sculpt a 1/4 size guts for you, what would be your dream pose and armor? Be as detailed as you'd like. And feel free to provide pics.

Berserk Merchandise / Statue/kit painter and repair service
« on: September 06, 2014, 10:38:30 AM »
I am located near Washington D.C. and am looking for a dependable painter. I may need to have a Zodd wing touched up in the near future. There is a small scratch on it and I am trying to secure a nice paint repair job.

I am also starting to think about collecting kits as well. Initially I didn't consider it since I don't have a painter but the work I see here has compelled me to find one and start collecting.

I would also love to have a statue repairman available in case I have issues bigger than a scratch in the future.

Any links/recommendations/connections would be greatly appreciate. Thanks for reading.

Berserk Miscellaneous / Has anyone learned Japanese just...
« on: September 05, 2014, 04:03:35 PM » read the manga?

I almost have two complete sets of the dark horse publication. I really want the original Japanese release set for obvious reasons, such as, it's fucking awesome. I am awaiting the release of the next volume to purchase and would like to hear from others the joys of having this set.

Berserk Merchandise / Does anyone have a Y!JA membership?
« on: September 03, 2014, 01:59:50 AM »
I found zodd and wyald on Y!JA and it seems the seller ships internationally. I tried to create a profile but the image of the word in a box at the end is not in English and I can't figure out how to read it let alone type it. Should I not even bother and see if I can get a proxy to do the transaction?

Buying / Selling / [WTB] Berserk Art Books
« on: August 09, 2014, 01:32:46 PM »
I am specifically looking for: Berserk Illustrations File
                                          Berserk Complete Dissection with poster
                                          Berserk Visual & Story File
                                          Berserk Warcry: Postcard Collection

I am also interested in the game guide as well as the movie art books but they are on the back burner. I am searching YJA and may have my contact in Japan track these down, if that would be cheapest. Ebay seems a bit pricey in comparison but idk for sure.

Berserk Merchandise / Bust/Helmet Request Thread
« on: July 15, 2014, 08:21:48 PM »
If we were to have an artist like JP create some all new busts, what would they be??

I am working with his friend who is producing a Skull Knight helmet for me.

If other members are interested in busts/helmets in the style of the 1:1 Femto, SK and Berserk armor Guts helmets please share your ideas.

Golden Age: Guts, Griffith, Casca helmets could be awesome

Zodd: Both forms would be cool

Other God Hand members..though we have a :void: sculpt coming up from a Skuller  :ubik:

I have no doubt you all want pictures and I will share as soon as I get some  :carcus:

Berserk Merchandise / AOW taking Repainting Requests
« on: July 07, 2014, 07:45:35 PM »
It says on their new site,
We are now collecting "Repainting Requests" for the sold out items.
Please click "Inquiries" and send us your request for the item which you hope us to re-release.
We will form a plan to repaint the item when the repainting requests reach 30.

Is anyone taking this seriously? Has this always been a thing of theirs?

Buying / Selling / Importing from France to USA
« on: June 29, 2014, 04:03:54 PM »
I am considering purchasing a statue from a French retailer, the Tentacle Ship. I am curious if anyone in the USA has made a purchase from France and if they incurred any importation costs. The retailer calculated the cost including shipping. He added that there would be an extra, unknown cost that would be a portion of the value declared on the item being shipped. I am pretty sure I won't have to pay anything no matter how much he declares to be the items value. I called customs and the USPS and they said there would be no charge. Anyone with experience in this area? Thanks, Skullers.

I'm looking at some statues on yahoo auctions and curious if the prices seem reasonable. Around 100,000 yen for guts 2010 black and around 220,000 yen for the last version 20th anniversary guts. I think these are my best bets. Just thought I'd ask here first.

I'm also wondering if anyone has dealt with/paid a broker with bank wire transfer. Am I crazy/stupid to consider wiring such a huge amount? It's cheaper than what paypal charges to wire the money. I met my guy through ebay. I bought a Casca figma and he upgraded my shipping to EMS free of charge and offered his services for any other items. So I looked on yahoo auctions and asked him for help. Everything seems legit but I would like to hear some other thoughts and experiences. He says he's been dealing with yahoo auctions for almost a decade and that his buyers prefer wire due to cost effectiveness. But he says paypal is safest for customer.

Buying / Selling / WTB: All 3 life-size 1:1 busts by James Perkins
« on: June 25, 2014, 01:23:28 AM »
Those busts. I lost some beauty sleep when I realized I missed the boat on those projects. This seems like an amazing community. I'm sad it took me this long to discover but thrilled to finally be a member.

I covet all three of the life-size busts by James Perkins more than anything. In addition to the busts and Tentacle Ship I am also seeking: 20th anniversary Guts...of course (preferably a bloody version) and the 2010 Guts black version. Quite the tall order, I know. Laugh it up.

Found the 20th anniversary, 2010 and ordered the Tentacle Ship. I Still need all 3 life-size 1:1 Busts: femto, skullknight and berserker helmet
