Manga Mausoleum / similarity
« on: November 08, 2001, 08:03:11 AM »
Hi i m the rookie here! ??? ??? ???
I don t know if it is important or just shit:but in the manga in vol.3  god hand appears surrounded by very strange area(as usual)but this one  looks pretty similar to a finalfantasyVII scene(ancient temple before u meet sepiroth and get the black materia).
So, did anyone else recognize this similarity to the ancient temple of FF VII.
If yes what is the meaning by that and for what does this world stand for? ??? ??? ???

Berserk Miscellaneous / ...something special with the covers?
« on: July 23, 2002, 05:13:12 AM »
i just recognized that one of the covers of the german translation series differs from the original cover of the berserk manga.

why is this?
is there a special reason or meaning for it  ??
and are there even more covers to come with different style?

Shootin' the Breeze / How berserk changed my mind
« on: November 09, 2001, 04:40:13 AM »
Before i got to know Berserk i hadn t that much intrest for mangas or chance i watched some but i didn t think about them or even analysed them.
But when berserk came in my life things changed...i kind of got addicted to it cause suddenly i put so much energy into berserk:discussing, comparing, discovering short thinking about it and its deeper meanings or messages that even today in real life help u to get further.
Maybe thats one of the biggest advantages of berserk:the fact that many or even all of its  statements behind are timeless !

Shootin' the Breeze / Tribute to Kentarou Miura
« on: November 12, 2001, 01:38:17 AM »
When i read the interview with Kentarou posted in vol.1 I felt this is a real crazy workaholic with huge god given talent and the will to move on!!
I mean since he was a little child he has been drawing and developing his skills.
Nevertheles he still finds the power and motivation to move on and finish things up and giving every night everything to keep style and story on the highest level.
That has to be love with all emotions that can be associated with it:devotion,dedication,passion,satisfaction,pain,sacrifice........
So thanx for giving us so much!!People should know more about u,the man!!

Shootin' the Breeze / Come on Walter!

Shootin' the Breeze / my first anime!
« on: November 14, 2001, 01:48:55 PM »
My first anime was "Mila Superstar"!!!I really watched it everyday and i can say that i was kind of addicted.
Apart from that this "ancient" simple anime-series really made me think!!
Especially about team spirit and the importance of sport in my own life!!
I think that was the first thing of anime or manga scene i ve been confrontated with and it really put some influence on me.

So i m looking foward to the release of Slam dunk! :)

Shootin' the Breeze / Merry X-Mas
« on: December 25, 2001, 02:05:16 AM »
Wish u all a merry X-mas and a happy new year! [/u][/size]
lets hope it is a good one without any fear! ;)
some wishes or predictions for 2002?

/Well I wish that FF and Msg2 will get released sooner than summer `02 here in Europe but i predict that this will definetely not happen.
At that point europe suck!

/And bout Berserk I just want to get the German translated versions that come out every month;but I predict that the translations will still not be perfect.

/I would like to invite Zodd for a cup of tea.I guess he d like that but I predict he ain t like no milk in it. :P

Don t know what do u guys look foward in the year 2002(not talking about ur personal aims and wishes)??

maybe film realeases(lord of the rings II, matrix II,
events concerning berserk,concerts,books/Cd`s u d like to have or videogames u wanna play,........... just whatever!
This is the place to post it!

Shootin' the Breeze / Rendez-vous!
« on: April 15, 2002, 01:38:49 AM »
Well if u could decide to meet a character of Berserk, who would it be then and why?
Is there actually a character u d like to meet or don t u give a damn thing about this!

Actually I d like to meet "the" artist but....

ok well if i could decide i d take Judeau.
we would then talk or philosophy bout different things;show off some skills;then go out and havin a fun time...
On the other side I somehow d like to meet Casca...!?;

Shootin' the Breeze / Most emotional moments of Berserk
« on: November 13, 2001, 01:51:18 PM »
When Istart to think about emotional moents of Berserk Igot difficulties to put things in a certain order because of the simple reason that there are so much decicive moments that bring ur emotions out of order, make u think intensively and kind of touch u deep inside.
One of the toughest of this moments for me(besides the last vol.of the anime) u ll find in vol.6:
/Guts gets the order of Griffith to kill Julius
(the archer who tried to assassinate Griffith a little earlier)
/After Guts finished his job he gets disturbed by the young Adonis
(he really impressed me although only appeared for a very short time)
/Immediately Guts kills the boy sticking his huge sword towards the little body.
/at that moment they face eachother eye to eye.Guts seems to be horrified of himself and realizes his mistake
(shortly before he watched adonis training with the general which reminded him of his own childhood and the brutal behaviour of gambino)
/so the tragedy was, that these to really resemble eachother and guts is aware of the fact that he killed someone special. :'(
So what is ur personal most emotional moment till now?

Shootin' the Breeze / Paradise's Playground!
« on: August 14, 2002, 12:49:27 AM »
huh i was kind of shocked when i saw the new banner up there;however we all knew that walter was going to do something bout the Lost-paradise-situation!

I wonder how paradise will react or how long it ll last that he ll come back.

what do u guys think bout that all?

are u prepared for anything or do u just don t care at all!

or do u just wanna welcome or invite the "Lost" back to this board through this topic!

Well i say welcome back Paradise-Lost the #1 Berserk Fan since 1996! ;)

here we go! ;)

Shootin' the Breeze / DVD, how does it work?
« on: August 25, 2002, 09:18:18 AM »
Just a question:

I recently ordered some DVD's from the US and as i tried to run them it didn t work!
i know that they are NTSC formated but till now i was always able to run them from my PS2 in b/w!
i already tried to put them into a code free DVD player but it didn t work either!(not able to play this region code...)
it has something to do with the region code!??
however the player i used has been code free so what is than the problem?
it should be no problem to run such dvd s?
maybe i just gotta configure my dvd playa?
is there a chip for the PS2?

i hope anybody can help me!
