How about using the one I made for you? Ungrateful little shit.
When I find a place that'll reliably host the pic, I'll use it. Geocities just doesn't cut it.

I've been using one called
Might try that.

I'm the mood of creating a spiffy new avatar. Any suggestions on where to find good quality pictures? What programs do you guys recommend? Any tips?  ;D

BTW, hey Zoddy, just exactly since when have you become Griffith's personal transportation?  ;)
Since he was reborn.  :P

And by the way, what's with Rakshas's mask? those pointy things remind me of ganishka's teeth...

Meant to answer this in my last post. I think its probably coincidence, or just a little decorative touch on his mask. I'd be more concerned with the third eye...

Speculation Nation / Re:Theory of Ganishka

Back when the eclipse occurred, we saw apostles killing the branded ones by pretty m uch eating them, but that's what an ordinary apostle does.

Or cutting them in half or ripping them into little pieces...  ::)

Well, if we think of ganishka, in chapter 234, the guy "burned" some apostles, or something, so the remainings would be burned corpses, right?
If I remember correctly, apostles revert to human form when killed.

So when we saw the branded corpses on the bottom of the tower of rebirth (vol 10 chp 6), could it have been ganishkas work? cause the ordinary apostle would've just eaten the "sacrificed", and therefore no corpse.
A valid point but not necessarily. Griffith's Eclipse left the Red Lake, a lake saturated with blood and filled with the Hawk's remains.

And by the way, what's with Rakshas's mask? those pointy things remind me of ganishka's teeth...

Speculation Nation / Re:Is Guts still human ?
« on: February 02, 2004, 01:06:43 AM »
If he is still human his first goal I say must be the second, if he has to choose only one.
At least that's what has been hypothesized in the manga so far IMHO...

Those didn't go in a specific order.. However its true that Guts is heading to Puck's home to live peacefully.

Humans are creatures of their environment. Guts has been fighting for all his life, having a sword in his hands is what he's most used to. He's living a nightmarish world but he's adapted because he intends to survive and complete his goals: Revenge on Griffith or a peaceful existence with Casca.

Man, that was the funniest criticism I ever heard on xechnao around here ;D ;D ;D
No, seriously, it's true it gave me the biggest laughs out of all the story over here.
And it gives a pretty valid message too: sometimes it's better to dream in silence, than shouting out, whatever passes through your god damn mind, to other people
A brilliant lesson.

I think what Nosferatu says is obvious. He doesnt speak about Raban but Ravan, or Ravana, that "satanic" king, master of rakusasas, daka and all in the hindou mythology. Someone has already made a post containing interesting links about that.
Come on ! Did you really think he was talking about Ganishka being Raban ? :-\ :-*

I stand corrected.  :)

...master of rakusasas
Sounds quite similar to Rakshas's name... Care to elaborate?

Was it?

actually i think Ganishka might be Ravan.

Despite the fact that we see him alive and well in chapter 230?  ::)

Uriel, I really like how what you did with the Griffith picture (which was already great). Is possible to convince you to do the same for the Guts picture?  ;D

Speculation Nation / Re:Wyndam Restored?
« on: January 29, 2004, 05:01:45 PM »
Griffith's dream is to have his own country. There's little doubt in that, as he mentioned this to Guts on the hill of swords. However, we haven't been told the size of said country, and that could quite possibly mean the entire world.

And this is all somehow connected to the Godhand's and Idea's plan for humanity, whatever that may be.

Note: When Griffith first appeared before the Kushan general, Schierke took a glance at him and named him the Black Hawk. So who exactly will be the White Hawk? Perhaps a certain black swordsman, we know?  ;)

Good point. I believe he was the wise man being tortured, and

Most people agree that he was the wiseman, for now at least since there isn't much evidence to disprove otherwise. However, it just as possible that the Skullknight was the wiseman, thus 4 Godhands already existed from prior time.

I still stick to my personal theory that the 4/5 angels that destroyed the capital were not necessarily Godhand members but the elementals.

I haven't heard the full details of this theory but it certainly sounds interesting, and almost supports the possibility of Skully being the wiseman. In a previous chapter, I believe Flora calls Skully an "old friend." Since their both can be said to be extreme old, this can also mean that he befriended her when he called out to the heavens. But this theory is much more fragile than that of Void being the wiseman...

Bill, I know you said it before, I was just supporting your point in the first paragraph, and adding a few things not yet brought up. Next time I'll be sure to acknowledge with a few extra words or quote.

Don't worry about it.  ;D

As for the Dragonslayer discussion, lets put this way: From killing so many tainted individuals, monsters, and apostles, the Dragonslayer may have absorbed some of the "dark" energy that each of those beings held. Much how Flora's home was located in both the real world and the spirit world, and how Guts (because of the brand) has to live on that same border; the Dragonslayer may be shifting into the same border area... Allowing it to hurt the Godhand. This is some pretty wild speculation and the only solid thing we can go with is what Skully told us in the first place.

Void is also the one who (to our knowledge) that marks all Sacrifices with the Brand when the Godhand are summoned.

This may be a obligation/duty done by him or perhaps acknowledgement of his position as leader.

It is certainly possible that this is emperor G's true form, but it seems strange to play up his monstrous appearance that we saw in previous chapters, only to have one different form than visually foreshadowed (though this did happen with Rosine). With the Kushans using sorcery as it is, I don't doubt that he has some personal magical ability, such as the attacks he used to decimate the apostle strike team, so maybe this fog form is solely because of sorcery.

I believe I stated this in my recent post.

On the other hand, if he is using magic, he seems to be using it in a way that hasn't been seen/explained yet (all the elemental spirtual stuff doesn't seem to apply here)

His fog form is quite similar to Flora's fire form in chapter 229 (also mentioned previously in my post). While it may be his apostle powers in play, I'm willing to safely bet that he has yet to reveal his true form.

I believe that in an earlier chapter he mentioned that everything in the fog he can control/sense, this likely an attribute of his sorceror powers and thus his connected to his ability to turn into fog.

Heh.. I haven't logged on for a while. :)

I don't know if anyone's mentioned this... Ganishka's form seems remarkably similar to Flora's form in chapter 229, except her's was fire and his seems to be fog. That may not even be his apostle form, but his sorceror's elemental form.. As we saw, he has some rather gruesome teeth which suggests him having a physical form other than just fog.

Griffith's and Ganishka's confrontation shall certainly be interesting to see but I doubt that it'll end simply with that... Perhaps Griffith will just rescue Charlotte and not confront Ganishka at all, leaving Locus and Irvine to take care of him, but thats rather unlikely.

Just a few speculations ;)
