Just scored another Incubus. Loving the colors of this one. DK, now I see why you won’t let it go...ha. I think this is one of the best Berserk Collectibles out there, now to find that white version

OMG you have 3! I'll take the teal one off your hands hahaha  :slan:

Hi, sorry for the delayed response. They are definitely not bootlegs. Those are convention exclusives. Congrats on the purchase!

I definitely think he's gonna be more expensive than $600, however $1000 is too much IMO. Then again, their Bowser did end up at $699, and he is way shorter and far less complicated.

I totally agree, I'm so shocked about how expensive the Bowser is and the Mario Tanooki statue was.  I guess it must be solid resin, but still.

Great photo IncantatioN, looking really good! Both you and the statue. :slan: And F4F's Guts is definitely 1/4 scale, sorry if I made it sound like I thought otherwise.

Incantation always looks good.  Gotta hand it to the photographer too :carcus: hehehe.

No matter what, 75 cm is huge, and definitely impressive for a 1/4 piece. I just hope that DirectDK is wrong about the $1k price tag :puck: Would feel quite uncharacteristic coming from F4F.. It would be very heavy indeed, at least with P1's piece landing on the same price point.

I could definitely be wrong.  I hope I am!  Haha.  I was slightly distracted, chatting with Incantation / taking pics of the statue, when I overheard Chuckles talking with the other customer next to us.  I know he certainly said "$1000" but maybe I heard it out of context?  Personally speaking though, it was an impressive statue and as Incantation said... the Berserk inflation I think will play a part in the pricing.  If you look at the Max Factory statues too, those are upwards of $1000, so I wouldn't be surprised if F4F follows suit.  But we'll see!  Like I said, I hope I'm wrong!!!

Also, Chuckles mentioned to me (I did eventually talk to him haha), that there will be an exclusive version (the base will light up, as well as the faces on the bottom) and there will be an option for bloody vs non-bloody... which is quite reminiscent of AOW, haha.

(official word so far is "much more [than $549]" and close to their Amaterasu bust ($725)).

Hmm I was there at NYCC and saw the statue in person.  It's actually pretty damn amazing and the stern face is quite good in my opinion.  Especially from the 45 degree angle it's near perfect likeness IMO.  As for the price, Chuckles said at NYCC to a customer standing next to me it will probably be around the $1000 range... so who knows.

As for the comparison picture, I feel like the F4F figure should be a bit bigger than it looks in the comparison, but it's hard to match since it's just a photoshop mockup.  It truly did look MASSIVE in person, and it is indeed 1/4 scale.  Actually I've seen both Prime1 and F4f Guts statues in person now (Prime1 at SDCC) and I think they will match each other pretty closely.

Nice pics, kyekye!!!  I was super impressed with the Femto.  I haven't fully removed all of them from the boxes yet, but they are a pretty bunch.

You can also preorder from sideshow's website:

The shipping charges on the prime1 site is $364 for US residents.  Sideshow should be decently cheaper.  I preordered from them, as well as the two other Berserk statues too.

I do agree about the sword proportions.  I do like the sword option of facing down though, because it's unique and also hides the proportions more.  Also, I want to say I like the normal head more than the exclusive head but I'll have to see it in person to really judge.

And in regards to the gigantic Zodd Apostle, it's technically supposed to be 1/5 scale, which is slightly smaller than the rest of their Berserk line (1/4th).  I don't mind though, because it will still look gigantic, and probably the largest Berserk statue ever made.  I'm worried about the price though...

And lastly, for anyone that cares, they've also teased WIP pictures of Slan, Femto, and Skullknight on horse.  All 1/4.  The SK on horse is gonna rock.

Do you have the demon child? The site I bought my first one had one in stock, the green pearlish version, I waited to long and it sold. I'd like to get the red one eventually.

I have both.  I'll probably keep the red one though, and maybe sell the green one one day...  It's in a box somewhere ~ lol.

So DK you should sell me yours....

Never!!!  Incantation has one now though =).  It's cool the maker made them in different colors.  I have a few other items from him but this one is my favorite.

Got a little bored at work today, so decided to doodle a Incubus on my hard hat. Until the Safety Manager complains, it's staying. Might even color it

LOLLLL this is a great idea!  Nicely done.  :ganishka:

I know there have been complaints, and none of the 4 revealed statues so far are perfect, but you gotta admire them a little bit...  Check out this video of them:

I also saw the Guts one in person at San Diego Comic Con 2 weeks ago.  The size truly is enormous.  You have to see it in real life to really get a grasp.  And judging by that video ^ Zodd is even bigger.  Glad they took that into consideration for his sculpt.

I've already ordered both the Guts & Zodd myself.  And you can be damn sure I'll be ordering all the others!

I'm totally making these my new cellphone wallpapers!  Love the party one especially.  And I can't wait for a high res of the Volume 39 cover!

He is my base, inspired by prime1 Guts Base. I changed the base symbol for schierke's protection mandala

There is no way your sculpt won't win.

3 years later!  And we finally got a preorder link!!
Release Date: Sept 2017
Painted 1/6th scale polystone figure with stand included. Approximately 420mm in height.

98,000 yen (a few hundred USD cheaper than the Guts statue from 2016), and for me it was only 2,000 yen shipping which is absurdly cheap.  Glad it finally is coming out!

Léon-Solide your profil pricture of astral schierke calming guts was my first idea for this piece but the prime1 contest was to make Schierke her own scene

^ Agreed. This is also a panel I wish to be re-created into statue form one day!  The figma of this pretty cool, but of course, not quite the same as a full fledge statue diorama.

Here is a colored version of my sculpt of the face

Truly beautiful, Bekh!  I can't be any more pleased.

You can see other angles of the face sculpt here:

Your work is really something, man.  You can consider me a fan!  You have my total support!

Wow! Bekh! The new shots look fantastic.  You've added more movement to the pose than the manga originally has, which I can appreciate as an artistic liberty in this case.  Also, the texture of the cloth is very detailed, as well as her shoes.  You've made Schierke a bit more womanly than the manga as well, but I think the result makes this very special and unique.  I'm definitely on board, and I can't imagine Prime1 being any happier when they see this.  It's fantastic!

Hello nice to meet you all, my name is Bekh, im a sculptor and im in Prime1 Berserk contest , i wanted to share some pictures of it to true berserk fans

Im sculpting 3 different scenes: - The lady of deep water Spirit from Enoch battlefield , invocation pose and museum pose standing before battle,  and Schierke sitting with seagulls

Hello Bekh!  Welcome to the forums.  Allow me to be the first one to say... your concept art for project 1 looks absolutely stunning!  Ridiculously stunning!!!   :isidro: :ubik: Schierke is one of my favorite characters and she is so under represented in figure / kit form.  But this right here would be an amazing addition to anybody's collection.  I am seriously super impressed.

As for your third idea (the seagulls), I've actually been wanting that particular manga panel to be made into statue form for years and years.  I've brought it up on this forum many times.  There is something so innocent and charming about it.  However, one of our fellow members and crazy talented sculptor, Theoden, has already been working on this pose, and it's nearly done.  And it's absolutely perfect.  Of course, no one ever said we can't have two of the same pose, but perhaps there could be another pose in mind for your alternative option?  Or really... just go with the first because it's seriously gorgeous!  :serpico:

Can't wait to see more pics!

Got my Femto this weekend.  Wow, incredible paint job.  I even prefer it to the AOW version.  Can't even believe this is a figma.  It's so good!!!

Very well priced, all things considered.  I am a bit puzzled by the Japan only preorder.  Seems like only the exclusive version is available on the site?  I asked on the FB comments section, maybe they will respond...

Pic for scale lol.  Is it just me, or does Guts' head look the right size in this pic?

Berserk Miscellaneous / Re: Berserk Musou (PS3, PS4, PC)
« on: February 23, 2017, 02:12:34 AM »
Something that put me off the game quite strongly was watching some gameplay of the level where Guts meets Casca and Griffith. It just didn't seem quite right to watch the guy who will eventually be renowned as the 'Hundred Man Slayer" dispatch over 400 Band of the Hawk soldiers (isn't that basically all of them at this point in the story?). Too much emphasis on big killing fields and very little depth to the combat (not that you'd need it against AI that basic).

Hahaha, this is very true.  When I played that part, and was hacking and slashing Casca, I kept saying under my breath "I can't...  NO THIS IS WRONG... I CAN'T!  DON'T MAKE ME DO THIS!!!" but I laughed and cringed and powered through, lol.

Well, I'm not exactly shocked by the result. I can't even say that I'm disappointed, since I knew what to expect. But it's still unfortunate. As always, Berserk deserves better.

Since I'm already not a fan of Musou games, and was disappointed with Hyrule Warriors, I went in with pretty low expectations.  So to my surprise, I found myself enjoying the 2 hours I've spent on it so far more than I thought I would.  But can't argue with you on your last point, Berserk always deserves better!  The Dreamcast game came close though.

The game got a 16+ over here in Germany (as did the films) and there is no changed content when compared to the Japanese version

Ah, I see.  I'm in the US, and mine had a Mature rating, and when I load up the game, it specifically asks if I want Gore on or off.  Naturally, I chose on!

I've played the prologue and 5 missions.  I hate to be the negative nancy, but if this wasn't Berserk there is no way on earth I'd touch this game.  I knew going in the formula looked generic, but wow.  There is no strategy at all.  On hard.  Button mash as a ton of ai stands around.  This is to video games as the 2016 anime was to Berserk imo.

I don't have much experience with Musou games, but aren't most Musou games button mash?  But I did find some strategy to it so far.  IE, square square triangle impales the enemy on the third strike, and then Guts does one giant strike down with the body impaled and annihilates everyone in the vicinity.  I personally found that button combo the best for now.  Plus the triangle dash triangle combo was very useful against bosses.  I mean, I didn't find the PS2 game any less or more deep as far as move sets are concerned.  And I think Musou games are more about trying to set records and complete missions in record time, mostly determined about who or where to target first, etc.

Anyways, I'll probably play it another hour or so tonight!

Got it!

Heisenberg approves.

Skully wants to play too.

Update: So I just finished playing it for about 2 hours.  I didn't keep up with all the previews/reviews about the game, so this was a pretty new, going-in-blind experience for me.  Wasn't sure quite to expect.  But my initial impressions are generally favorable!  In a nutshell:

- I liked this game more than Hyrule Warriors, by a long shot.  Reason is, the game had an actual story.  And I'll use spoiler tags in case people are sensitive to this. The game starts off at the eclipse (which is strange), and Guts has his Berserker Armor already, but this scene/level is really more like the tutorial part.  After which, it starts where the anime trilogy started.  A castle siege and then eventually Bazuso.  After which, the encounter with the Band, Carcus, Casca, Griffith and so forth.  The story elements as well as the cut scenes really flowed well!  The cut scenes fit right in with this game.
- The musou genre totally fits with Berserk!  I mean that might be a Captain Obvious statement, but really there are SO MANY enemies on screen at once, sometimes you even lose track of where your character is.  This is actually a really cool thing.  You get that sense of being overwhelmed and surrounded.  And man oh man, as the game goes on you learn more special moves, and MY GOODNESS some of them are so vicious.  I found myself reallllly enjoying these attacks.  They were so satisfying to pull off.  It was pretty awesome!
- This is probably common knowledge, but they reused scenes from the anime trilogy in the game and what's kinda cool about it is that they've replaced the original movie soundtrack with their own soundtrack, and seriously some of the new music pieces are better than the movie pieces.  Sometimes in the trilogy, the music was too overbearing or in your face.  The game soundtrack is much more subtle and I feel like fits the mood more accurately.  I am pleasantly surprised.
- The graphics are quite impressive as well!  I mean, Guts and co look pretty damn good, imho.  And the in-game graphic cut scenes + voice acting does a decent job.  I was genuinely getting enveloped in the game.
- Finally, the last thing I will say is overall the game didn't feel stale after 2 hours of play.  I think this game is legit fun, and keep in mind, I've never been a Dynasty Warriors fan prior to this.  I got Hyrule Warriors for the Wii U but I played it twice and never picked it up again.  Berserk though... it's really working for me!  So hopefully more people will get it and enjoy it along side me!

Well, I ended up taking some pictures today for the AOW Winter Journey photo contest.  I had to move a display case and some statues out of my room this weekend because my heat unit needs fixing and technicians are coming tomorrow to install a new one.  So I figure, might as well take some photos!  It's been a while anyways.  Most of these you've already seen on my site, but always nice to see them in a different light.
