I seen It as well and it was pretty damn awesome. I loved that it didn't shy away from anything really even when the cast was kids. Which made so much of the humor in the movie shine. It really was more funny than scary. But it didn't take away from it at all either.

The horror itself was pretty gruesome and creepy. Though I really wish they didn't use annoying 'horror audio cues' and such. Drives me nuts when horror movies do that because it's basically saying 'hey be scared now guys! Boo!' when, fuck off really, the horror should (and would) stand on its own.

More of a nitpick though. Stoked for the next movie in a couple years~

Halfway through Dishonored 2 roughly. Wanted to beat this in preparation for Death of the Outsider but that shit clearly isn't happening. Emily for life though.

Just beat Silent Hill 2 as well as the Maria scenario. Silent Hill 2 just felt draining this time around but the game is still damn amazing. Historical Society is one of the best levels in the series with how relentlessly fucked up it is. Haven't played the Maria scenario in ages but it's short and beautiful.

Onto Silent Hill 3 hurray. Stoked for one of the most ruthlessly fucked up games ever.

Finished the 6th palace in Persona 5. Shit's real. Time for another break hah.

Started Dishonored 2 again now that my version for the PC isn't running like absolute trash. Wanted to replay this before Death of the Outsider comes out.

Also for Fall / Halloween spirit (I don't care how early it is, Halloween is a state of mind, not a holiday!), I started my Silent Hill binge. Beat Silent Hill 1, which was a glorious nostalgia trip. I find how dated that game is, gives it a really awesome charm. About halfway through Silent Hill 2. I love this game so damn much. It's basically my favorite game of all time. No other game affected my life nearly as much as that game did.

This I'm insanely stoked for. I fucking love Miike (Ichi the Killer is one of my favorite movies) and I grew up on Blade of the Immortal. I used to buy the single issue comics when I was like, 12 years old. I couldn't have asked for more with this hah.

One of my favorite albums by AC.

I've been listening to the new Ulver the past two weeks ... it's intoxicating

I really enjoyed that AC album actually. Think I listened to it 7 or 8 times? I also took a listen to Metropolis yesterday and it might be my favorite so far honestly.

I should also really listen to more Ulver. Everything I've heard by them so far has been fantastic. Too much damn music all the time to get through sigh.

Listening to:

Acumen Nation - Lord of the Cynics
Perturbator - Dangerous Days
Gary Numan - Dead Son Rising
Current 93 - Sounds From the Horse Hospital

Without a doubt what happened on top of Ganishka.

Seeing that surprise Skullknight appearance, Femto's counter and the whole sequence of events after completely melted my mind. The fact that a series 34 books in could still blow me away the way that sequence did was incredible. Especially as a series that already had a million amazing moments.

Ah, you're like me and you play the GoW games in chronological order every time you play 'em, hehe. Also! As for Amygdala, you can pretty easily bait her leaping move by sticking next to her legs. And while her legs and tail have some ridiculous armor, you can eventually wound them just like any other body part on the large bosses.

Hah, yea I always play the GoW games like that. It's a lot more fun that way since the games more or less end where the next begins. Watching Kratos progress over the games is pretty cool~

As for Amygdala, I've actually tried that strategy. It works pretty damn well in the Nightmare Frontier. Typically I find it works well in the defiled chalice for the most part but she always finds a way to gank me (especially the last chunk of her health). She will be murdered though. I did it once before and I will do it many times again. Out of spite now if anything~

Taking a short break from Bloodborne. I'm doing all the chalice dungeons, which for the most part I really enjoy (they're a lot more fun when you split them up during the story instead of attempting to do them all). I beat all the main story bosses and the DLC. But I'm on the fucking defiled chalice and stuck on Amygdala. Which kinda pisses me off because I did beat her last time I did the defiled chalice.

For the most part I don't find Amygdala to be <that> cheap. But on the defiled she has so many goddamn ways to one shot me out of nowhere (especially that leaping move) that it just feels infuriating and cheap. The amount of times I almost killed her just for a sudden one shot death has been ridiculous. I don't think I had this much trouble with any of the bosses in Dark Souls 1 or Demon's Souls. When I feel less Bloodborned-out I will murder the shit out of her.

So I went back to Persona 5 and beat the fifth palace dungeon. Shit's getting real in this game now (yay).

Also finished off God of War: Ghost of Sparta and started God of War 2.

^^ Maybe it's because I went in with 0 expectations but I ended up enjoying Ghost of the Shell a hell of a lot more than I thought I would. Though it felt pretty diluted in comparison to the original anime, it really wasn't that bad.

Watched Guardians of the Galaxy vol 2. I thought it was pretty damn fun and hilarious. A pretty solid follow up to the first. Though the charm felt a 'tad' dialled back in comparison to the first movie. Not by much though. That could just be because the first movie stood out so well in comparison to the original Marvel universe movies for me shrug.

^^ I too have been going hard on Bloodborne.

Just finished all the main story and DLC for the 4th time.

I have 4 more chalice dungeons to get through. I wanted to get through them last time but I burnt myself out and it was on my friends PS4 so I said fuck it. But holy shit I love this game more every time I play it. Headphones make it so much more amazing as well.

Still taking a break on Persona 5. I'll be going back to it soon but I binged way too much of it and reallly don't want the game to end.

Beat Fatal Frame 2 again. Going for the good ending again because the normal ending just kills me.

God of War binge continues.... end of Ghost of Sparta right now. The PSP God of War games are incredible for being on a handheld.

On the last tiny stretch of Fatal Frame 2. Been procrastinating on this game because the ending was so fucking depressing bleh. I'm having a hard time wanting to see it again but alas I will make it through.

Still taking a break from Persona 5 for a bit.

God of War binge continues... beat God of War 1. Forgot how much I loved this game. Used to feel a tad tedious to me but this time around really enjoyed it. Will probably start up Ghost of Sparta later today ~

Battle Royale.

Just rewatched it with some friends, one who has never seen it before. Holy shit I love this movie. It's been probably around 10 years since I've last watched it. It holds up crazy well and the soundtrack is amazing. Still definitely love the hell out of this movie.

I'm loving the hell out of the new Twin Peaks. Though I'm no expert in the lore of it (I just finished watching the originals and movies recently), I'm stoked to start dismantling it when this series is finished with. It's just such a cool ride and this new season is bringing forth a lot of new atmospheres to the already dense and rich atmosphere of the original. Fuck ya.

That last episode was madness though. I loved it. Not to mention "The" Nine Inch Nails full performance of She's Gone. Holy shit.

Can't help but feel Lynch is fully capable of far more weirder shit for us in the future of this season too.

Well the illustrations are cool as fuck at least.

Hopefully the writing matches it. I for one, dig Psycho Pass for the most part. But it doesn't come close to Miura. I can't help but feel there'll be a compromise in story quality for this. I very much want to be wrong here but I just don't see why Miura didn't do it in the manga when the time was right.

Or maybe he intended this all along? I kind've doubt it but there must be some reason for this. Either way, I'm sure I'll enjoy the novel and will be happy to have it in my hands eventually. But it's likely still going to be a let down in comparison to a solid episode or so of Miura's manga style.

Sigh, really wish it wouldn't 'continue'. The shitshow wildride goes on.

I could see it coinciding with a winter release at the end of December with the manga coming back bleh.

Still playing Persona 5. Just finished the second palace. Fucking love the hell out of this game but need a break.

So I decided with the stormy weather lately that it's best to fuck my shit up all over again and play Fatal Frame 2 again. I love these games so much. Some of the most relentlessly soul draining games ever.

Incredible as always. I cannot wait. This is already pretty damn chilling. The trees and soil are absolutely disgusting. When people complain Berserk is too 'lighthearted' they seem to forget moments like this can happen. Not to mention this is only the beginning of the real fuckery. I imagine the first chunk of book 40 is going to be pretty rough.

As for the hiatus, I figured (as I imagine quite a few people did as well) that one was coming up this episode. Seemed obvious with the simul-book release and the trash heap Berserk anime ending at the same time. Doesn't matter to me at all though. Would rather Miura do whatever the hell he has got to do to continue making this incredible series.

Though we at least know it's 'winter' and not 'til next time!'. But 'Winter' means Dec 29th at the earliest I think?

As apprehensive of the light novel, I'm still pretty intrigued about it. At least the cover is cool if anything.

Also, volume 39 if there's any changes (pages removed, added, changed etc). Looks friggin beautiful though.

Finished my game of Demon's Souls. Learned why the Pure Bladestone can go fuck itself the hard way.

Started up Persona 5 and just finished the first palace. Holy shit I love this game. I kinda wish I could just play it nonstop to the end.
