Berserk Merchandise / Re: Prime 1 launches a Berserk line
« on: September 15, 2017, 06:06:15 PM »
have the black swordsman on pre-order, but sadly i think i am going to pass on the berserker. there is just one too many details off about it for me justify dropping another 1k+, not to mention the considerable amount of space to display/store it, which after collecting for 10+ years have become a precious scarcity for me.

gonna save my money/space for the hokuto no ken kenshiro prime 1 teased right before wonderfest summer. :)

I totally hear you Wen.  But I collect so few statues these days I don't mind a nice treat once in awhile......I'm not as detail oriented as most of you, I consider that a blessing hah.  I actually really like the Berserker armor in almost any form as you know.

Wow......that is freakin cool to say the least.....a large Schierke would be a bad@$$ addition to most Berserk collectors since there aren't too many of her.

Thanks Maiku.  That's far easier, going to order here and cancel in Japan.

Guess this one is going to my inlaws/friend in Japan first lol.  Thanks for the link gents.  I am in.

EDIT:  My friend that's been proxying for years lately been pretty busy personally, but if you guys are interested he's always highly recommended by me:

He can help you with this item I'm sure if you guys are outside Japan.  Hyped....look at that:

EDIT2:  I just "preordered" and all was done was creating an account (physical address in Japan, phone # in Japan, and email) and they said they will contact you prior to shipping for payment.  It has to be done via bank wire no credit cards.

I'd easily pay $1000 for this....but IMO the painting doesn't look on par with AOW (but this is a prototype after all) and I'm not so sure the face is in the greatest "likeness" to Guts.  Looking forward to this for sure, thanks for posting an update for this one.

Berserk Merchandise / Re: First4Figures Berserk Line Announced

Yeah that is somewhat exciting.  I owned their entire Zelda line (sold off a lot of it except couple key pieces I can't part with) and also random assorted figures from other games.  Their quality I'd say is pretty good....quality problems were more prevalent when things started with Fierce Deity etc (I still have a couple of those with usual damage lol).  Their pricing is pretty fair for sure and the Davis family does a good job organizing and growing the brand (f4f).  Let's see what they come out with.....usually they don't do dioramas so I expect single character releases.

I don't love the faces....but I do think Guts' is a general improvement from AOW's usual Guts face and Casca doesn't look bad portrayed with a spaced out hollow shell look.  The price is certainly high but I think AOW's paint job is still almost second to none for resins and the fact that this is a big diorama with 2 main characters somewhat helps push me over the top...I decided last minute to pick it up with the exchange rate as is with the USD.  Sorry to betray skullknight guys heh, I wanted this one to display.

My wallet is safe...... :ubik:

Berserk Merchandise / Re: Guts 1/6 Max Factory release on 2016

After 33 days and 1 replacement also broken in the same spot, they have finally issued me a refund for the statue.....obviously defective packaging, identical breakage in the same spots.  Least I didn't have to pay for this face.....

This is part of it is, don't even have to buy this now if you're on the fence...plenty of repaints for this one to come I'm sure also.

Well I've waited for over 2 weeks now with no resolution.  Just 3 emails of which apologizing, confirming my order number and shipping address and telling me to wait.  My last inquiry has not had a response from them in 5 days.  I am filing a credit card reverse charge and telling them if they want their "limited" gem, they can send me a label and get take it back.  I'm sick of seeing the packaging and broken statue sitting on my workbench every day I go to work and come home with no resolution.  Hope you guys has had better luck but I'm not having any of this for something I paid this much for and was already irritated @ the way the face came out.

Lucky you Super I haven't even gotten that far.  It took them almost a week to respond to my initial email requesting proof of purchase and receipt/order #.  Now it's been another 4 days with no reply.  If this takes too long the credit card company will give them the axe.....never seen such horrid service.

Mine was also broken when I got it; the legs were broken off the base. Thankfully after contacting Goodsmile and sending some pictures they sent me a replacement base.

It's now one of my favorite statues, I just love the dynamic pose and gruesome base.

How long did this process take?  I haven't heard back and is curious.....thanks.

Mine is worse, I think their packaging design needs work.  Mine came rattling (bad sign) and the base with his lower torso is broken off from the base in 3 spots.  Contacted them hope they take care of this quickly.

A bit disappointing from your pictures.  I'll put mine together and see if it's worth displaying....the face is.....let's just say it's at the bottom of the barrel for acceptability....I think it is offensive from your pics but I'll see in person.  Paint job isn't as crafty as AOW's but it certainly is nothing to scoff @...the size and scale is very nice indeed.  Can't believe GSC messed this one up bad on the face, maybe this is what Guts will look like in the new anime?  lol.

Mine was charged also....honestly am not so upset about the price and more interested to see what kind of quality GSC will muster up with this kind of budget.  I guess AOW has broken me in to this type of pricing for Berserk merchandise hah.  Looking forward to it.

Berserk Merchandise / Re: Upcoming Gecco Berserk statue - 2015
« on: December 06, 2015, 06:04:45 PM »
Just got mine.....amazing like you guys said.  It's all about that sneering Guts head hah.  The cape took a little bit of force but mine seemed to have went in.  I did have to adjust the hilt even when the cape went all the way in to make sure the blade slides into that slot on the cape properly.  But man.....we need more from Gecco/Headlong.  A Berserker Armored Guts next would be awesome.

I'd pick it up if it was painted weathered bone like the version of the skull knight rider I have.  Probably will come too someday via repaint hah.

That's not very hard when they sell them five by five. All it takes is five guys out there who want a "complete collection" and have sufficient money and they'll sell out till the end of days. Is that a satisfying situation for the fans however? I think not.

Can't debate that, none of the real collectors on this forum that's been collecting Berserk merch. is satisfied with them right now.  It's pretty sad since I thought the owner of AOW had more vision than this when I met him years back.  Nowadays it seems like he's forgotten what/who made them successful and appealing to a new set of customers/fans.  Can only hope other companies pick up their pace and release quality merch.

This thing must have sold out fast....I got the email on Sat. and I thought hmmm I could use another 2010 that matches up with the new 20th anniversary I bought this year (yes I hate myself for considering) and logged in to see it's been sold out much we ll hate these repaints.....they do sell for sure.

Wow.....that is really something.  Great work.....and I'm not even a fan of collecting Zodd stuff.

Buying / Selling / Re: [FS] Kits (Slan, Irvine, Puck, Ivalera)

Wow.....I always thought Incantation was a decent dude that's been around....guess you would never know.  I'm fairly reputable on many boards as well and people send me payments via gift all the time....sometimes even sending me goods before I pay when I buy just to avoid fees for both sides.  Thanks for adding doubt to everyone......and right, if you claim you've been busy as hell with your may not want to mention you were busy attending "comic-con."  Sorry, maybe my fault for wandering into this thread but this rubs me the wrong way.....kills it for the honest guys.

Yes, that skullknight + Zodd/Wyald broke me out of the Guts only statues rule for Berserk.......The weathered bone Skullknight is indeed spectacular, amazing paint job and definitely one of the best statues AOW has ever produced.  Loving it and am thankful I was lucky enough to locate one.

Love the statue, have 3 variations of it by now.  Non-blood version, European Version, and now the 2015 w/ Apostle.....each got it's own individual flair.  If I had to pick though, I'd say I love the clean look of the boodless version as it really shows off the armor.  I never liked the last repainting because the blood and the red skin looks too messy.  The 2015 I have to admit looks pretty great with the new mantle and Berserker helmet (not accurate but hey, it looks cool).  Probably not buying anymore though.....but then that's what I said after I had 2 of them lol.
