I'm guessing we're done for the year unless Santa Griffith has a big surprise for us.
Well not really, we still got November and December! Maybe we'll get a new episode then :griffnotevil:

Some people were pretty worried about this game because of Activision but to be honest, from the trailer and gameplay, it looks very promising. I really love the "Souls" games from FromSoftware and i also love old japan and samurais so it looks like a game for me :ubik:

Manga Mausoleum / Re: Volume 40 release

That frame is actually something that has been added to all volumes (retroactively) starting with Volume 38. Here's our discussion of it back in 2016: http://www.skullknight.net/forum/index.php?topic=14960.msg239711#msg239711
Hmm, looks like you really weren't digging it then, do you still have the same opinion about it? I persoanally really liked the change, but i can see why you thought that it looks a bit "cheap". Thankfully for the people that do not like it, Dark Horse doesn't add that in the English Volumes. (But it still has the same low quality blood splatter behind the Logo, which has been bugging me for years)

Very inventive of Miura to use a Stonehenge-like structure for this kind of ethereal travel. I like it!

Yes! It's a pretty cool idea, maybe the fight itself happened just for The Band of the Falcon to "Unlock" this path that happened to be in the Giant's territory.

Well prepare to be disappointed, it's a Griffith episode. Or else the flow of the manga would be very strange and the cutaway to Griffith would be quite pointless
Ohh, i think that i didn't use the right words... I know that it will be a Griffith episode and i have no problem with that, i just want the fight to be over so that we can see Griffith talk and probably find out more about his plans.

Finally, a small light in the darkness. I am feeling heavy due to the lack of Berserk OC.
Yeah finally, I just hope it's not another Griffith battle episode.

Berserk Miscellaneous / Re: Dark Horse Releasing Berserk Guidebook
« on: August 18, 2018, 03:13:56 PM »
We'll get this sometime hopefully before the end of the year, the Grunbeld novel a few months after, then Volume 40 a few months after that?
I really want them to translate Vol 40 as fast as possible but seeing how late they were with the Guidebook and Volume 39 compared to when they came out in Japan.. i doubt it, we'll probably get Volume 40 late 2019 or early 2020... :void:

Wow, that's cool, if only we got an interview like this but with our boy Miura.

I wanna know what he thinks about the future of Berserk nowadays.

Unlikely. If a glut of releases were coming, Hakusensha (Berserk's publisher) would have no reason to push Vol 40 out with a measly 7 episodes inside it. That's 1 less than vol 39, and 4 less than Berserk during its prime release years. Still, the new volume's release doesn't preclude 358 (or god forbid 357(2) ) from hitting in September.
So.. you are telling me that.. because Volume 40 comes out on September 27th, there is a (Slight) possibility that we might get episode 358 (or 357 part 2) on September 21st? (Which is Friday iirc). I mean it would be less that a week before the Volume comes out so i doubt it.. damn. Anyways, we'll get an episode in like 15 days so Yaaay. :guts:

I don't think you should make any conclusions from that little chat. You could just as easily call that "story progress," not an intention to end the series. Also, it may feel different because the breaks are scattered differently through the year (concentrated instead of spaced out), but so far we're still getting about the same annual release pace as we've had since 2014: 4-6 eps per year.

Hmm i see, i hope that after the August Episode, there will be no hiatus for a bit, we have gotten 5 episodes this year (till now) and maybe if he continues after the next episode we can get like 10 episodes this year! (which sounds kinda impossible, but also a bit possible at the same time)

That wasn't an arc.  :femto:

Ohh yeah sorry, i get them confused sometimes :ganishka: The "Arcs" are the "Golden Age" "Conviction", "Fantasia" etc right? Then episodes are what are called "chapters" in other mangas, sooo... how are the sea god and such called? Chapters right?

He said back in 2012 that maybe we'd see what they were up to "soon." It was far from definitive though. He was playing along with the interviewer's obviously frothing anticipation.  It certainly made for a memorable moment for us, but that was 6 years ago...
Wow, people then thought that maybe the "King of the Flower Storm" will tell Guts the stories of the GodHand members, in 2012, that was a pretty good theory.. Now.. Hmm i don't know.. I mean, it COULD happen you never know! :slan: Also what i got from this small "interview" is that Miura is trying to end the series (which is also shown now, cause of the smaller hiatuses and the HUGE events like Casca getting her memories back) Also Miura said that he will explain the stories of the GodHand members (Someday) which for a long time i thought that maybe he wants to keep them secret or something, or maybe that "Their Stories will remain a mystery" or something. And yeah i know that this interview is a bit old, but... 6 years ain't too much for berserk, i mean in 2012 the story was still in the Sea God arc... So maaaybe he still thinks the same.

The preview for the 22.6 issue is out: http://www.younganimal.com/magazine/next.html
I might have missed it, but I don't see Berserk there.

That's because they're teen warriors. They're not fully grown yet.  :ganishka:

Even though that was probably a joke it kinda makes sense that the ones with the Hydra would be younger and the ones fighting in the front lines are older.

Translation, courtesy of Puella: "I've finished my manuscripts. Now I'll go watch Pacific Rim!!"
Sooo Miura has finished writing the next episode's script? Also Pacific Rim huh? I guess the shadow behind the bushes will be a Jaeger or something  :ganishka:

YES!! This is the best news!! I thought Berserk was on Hiatus again :guts: . Since it's the first time Miura has done 5 episodes in a row in a long time, does that mean that he'll keep releasing a episode each month from now on? :???:
