I have been following the F4F statue for months now. It will finally be available for pre-order in March.

Alex of F4F has been open about Berserk statues coming in at a "premium," cost. They also seemed to have pushed back the Guts pre-order timeline to avoid overlap with the Dark Souls Ornstein statue, which cost $599. This move seems to predict that the EX version of Guts is probably going to be one of their most expensive statues. They are very mum about the price, despite fan club members asking about it. I wouldn't be surprised if the EX version is starting to edge towards 1k. They do understand their their customer base isn't the same as say Prime-1, its why they refuse to make a Skull Knight on his horse, because it would exceed the price of their target audience, as Chockles told one poster. So the mystery remains. How much for the base model and how much for the EX?

I'm probably going to go for the EX Guts F4F and see what P1 can do with their version of Skull Knight. I'm also debating picking up P1 Femto as well.

Berserk Miscellaneous / Hardcover editions of Berserk?
« on: November 01, 2017, 02:25:48 AM »
I just picked up the 35th anniversary hardcover edition of Otomo's manga masterpiece Akira. It makes me wish that berserk would get the same treatment.

I wonder if there has been any talk from Dark Horse of releasing full size hardbound editions of Berserk? We all know its nowhere near finished, but Berserk is the type of manga that I would love to display on my bookshelf with the rest of my hardbound books.

Anyone know of anything in the works?

Ended up ordering the P1 Berserker Armor statue today. I couldn't resist after losing out on the AOW Berserker Armor and pirate ship statue. The scale of the statue, plus Direct UK's video from August clinched it for me.

I will probably end up getting the exclusive version of the F4F Black Swordsman with souls base.

Unless they come out with a kick ass Rakshas figure, that should finish off my Berserk Guts collection: 1.) Guts on horseback from golden age, 2.) Black Swordsman and 3.) Berserker Armor.

I'm not sure if anyone has played the Japanese version, because most English dubs back in the 1990's took huge liberties with translations and I'm sure this game is no different. Still, I always found it interesting that when a temporarily sane Casca spoke, she described herself as, "dreaming a really bad dream."

The Mandragora possession was only a temporary cure, but it did give us some insight into what was going on with the sane part of Casca's mind.

All this is speculation of course and none of us will know what happens until she's cured, but if her mind is locked in a dream, or tricked into thinking that its dreaming, then the gallery/corridor of dreams will make more sense.

I've been following Berserk like many of the people here, for a good portion of my life. I'm beyond excited in what the next few chapters will no doubt bring (the possible restoration of Casca).

Hey Everyone,

Now that we are so close to meeting the King of the Flower Storm, I was rereading the transcript from episode 344 and noticed this sentence.

Then Kuka says "is to bring her sanity back?" but Schierke continues "is to find a peaceful land for the cursed woman". Kuka says that now that she thinks of it, she's heard that the King of the Flower Storm can get deep inside somebody's mind using a "gallery/corridor of dreams", and so that it might be possible to cure Casca.

It made me think back to this scene from Sword of the Berserk (Berserk Millennium Falcon Arc: Chapter of the Flowers of Oblivion) on the Sega Dreamcast.

I believe its the only time where Casca has reverted back to normal for a period of time. Correct me if I'm wrong, since there are some insanely knowledgeable people here on this board (Aazealh, Walter, etc.).

Sword of the Berserk was written by Miura, so its canon in regards to the main storyline, right?

So it seems dreams, or waking Casca up from her "bad" dream is the key to healing her.

Kinda neat if the hints were there all the way back in 1999.

It is possible that the pirate ship could have an offspring of the sea god inside it (mini sea god). That could explain why it was able attack the pirates off of the island, while the sea god is trapped within the island and the whole rock climbing phenomenon.
