Great show as always!! :slan:

I dont know so much about the moonlight boy thing as you guys do, but it could be a great reveal for the series, for it to happen now.

Sooooo much to be excited for in the coming release!! Will you guys be doing re-reads again soon? I know Walter (or was it Aazeal?) who said they were like homework but i wanted to say that they're very educational for me.

Character Cove / Re: Casca's misadventure with Femto
« on: September 08, 2015, 02:40:09 PM »
You can see familiar elements in the matter all around the scene, being the tentacles the most noticing, as Giovanna said.

I don't think having those tentacles hold her is much of a reference to be honest. Its just a visually convenient way to hold her for Guts to see while Femto has his way with her. Other than that the tentacles play no role in the scene. i wouldn't draw too many conclusions based on only that........

Not too much time and/or research is needed to represent a scene of your lover being raped by a demon you both thought was your friend.

I agree! The scene isnt unclear t all. Like someone said shes crying and bleeding and ends up insane so.... uhhhh it seems more a matter of personal bias to me, of people seeing what they want in it.... :schnoz:

Are you guys still doing questions...  :???:

I enjoy the casts when I'm driving to work. Have you done one on Serpico yet?

Wait that's not my question!  :magni:

With these breaks making me think of the series longevity... is there an age you think you'll reach when you feel too old for Berserk? 40? 50? I guess the series might go on for another 10-15 years or so. That would make anyone here that's 30 40 by then. How old is too old to regularly follow Berserk?

Looking forward to hearing each of  you answer the Zelda question asked earlier... My favorite in the series is Ocarina of Time. Link is so cute in that one  :casca:

That's a great question, and one I know that Aaz and I have thoughts on, since it's something we talk a lot about.
Thank you i look foward to your answers. I have another question i thought of:

The forum has been around for a while in its current form (i remember it looked a different way a few years ago, when I lurked). So what improvements would you like to make to the forum ion the future, or is it perfect as is?

I've been lurking, but also listening! i enjoy the podcast a lot you guys and i hope next weeks you start answering questions there are so many now.  :daiba:

Here's mine what do you think of the future of the japanese mangas market and the future of berserk? do you think it can continue in its printed form for the next 10 years or will something need to be done to the industry to keep things going?

I might come up with more but can i just add it to this post or should i make another?

Thanks and i look forward to your replies!!!   :casca:

Fantastic episode with lots of stunning shots of our handsome hero in a hideous surrounding. Anyone see anything interesting or remarkable about the ornamentation on the destroyed ships? If so, please chime in! I'm interested in those kind of detail about the world of Berserk.

Trouble at the Sea Horse. Thankfully Serpico is handy. It's nice to see him still caring for Farnese even with Roderick nearby. I hope these two can manage to get along in the future. I might even change my avatar someday! :serpico: Maybe another emoticon could be Roddy with a telescope?
This is like level 8 of contra all over again. up up down down left right left right a b

Speculation Nation / Re: List of creatures in the "New World"
« on: August 06, 2009, 03:50:21 PM »
I think the creatures in the ceiling COULD be Domovoi, an eastern-european spirit.

From wiki:
Quote from: Wikipedia
Traditionally, every house is said to have its domovoi. It does not do evil unless angered by a family’s poor keep of the household, profane language or neglect. The domovoi is seen as the home's guardian, and he sometimes helps with household chores and field work. Some even treat them as part of the family, albeit an unseen one, and leave them gifts like milk and biscuits in the kitchen overnight.

It seems there are so many kinds of similar household spirits though, it's impossible to narrow it down right now.

Hmmm, I've given a lot of thought to what we see appearing before the huamans and apostles during the last two pages and I think it looks like what a lot of people have been saying here, an organ of some kind. And I think I know just what kind.  :slan:

Think of the layers of the world as being like levels in a deep ocean, with the top layer being the physical world and the deepest layer being the ideal world. Something is appearing at the top layer that appears organic and that could be connected to something much deeper, possibly to an organ we've seen before.

We know the layers of the world are merging, and we know that the heart we've seen is only "a portion of" the the idea of evil which lives in the abyss, the deepest part of the astral world. We've seen that the idea of evil is connected to something in the noncanonical episode 83 (the double helix-type thing). I think it could be establishing another branch of itself in the physical world.

My idea is: from  (heart) ... to  :void: (brain).

The first time I was introduced to the armor, I thought, "HOLY SHIT, NOW IT'S GONNA GET GOOD!" Growwwlllll...
You read the series for 26 volumes without thinking it was good?  :???: ...  :ganishka: ...  :daiba:

Anyway, Volume 28's great stuff. I love the Moonlight Child part... Or... Child in the Moonlight or whatever DH calls it.
I wish we had a more definitive name for him and even Guts and Casca's kid, who everyone calls "demon child" but that doesn't really capture everything about thim to me..... I think we should just call him what he is, Guts and Casca's son, or in short -- "their estranged child."

At first I thought who is this old man? Then I saw that smile, and thought ITTOOOOOOOO!!!!  :mozgus:

With the flash forward with matahachi i wonder if Inoue is really considering cutting Vagabond short. If we next see another subcharacter like Otsu, and it flashes forward to HER future, I would seriously consider that it indicates a trend Vagabond is truly coming to a close.    :judo:

It looks like Oko and Matahachi's kid to me! He has her evil seductive eyes... :casca:

But no it's probably just a village kid. Though I did think at first that it was a ghost or a vision, ebcause of the weird texturing on his clothes. It made hiim stand out. but i dont think thats the case.

Vagabond / Re: New readers (use spoiler tags)
« on: July 02, 2009, 03:46:46 PM »
Well from reading the 1st three volumes I can say that I really don't like Matahachi, I thought what he did was selfish and wrong because he already had a fiance and he made things worse for Miyamoto. I really don't like the granny to because she's so damn mean to Miyamoto when he was only telling her the truth, so in return they send a huge search party to kill him . I have to say so far my favorite part was when Miyamoto went to the Yoshioka school and challenged Yoshioka Seijuro to a duel and killed those 5 men, then Yoshioka's brother ended up having a duel with Miyamoto. Well I will definitely try and get up to speed with everyone here by reading the rest and keeping up to date with the new chapters that come out  :slan:
Matahachi takes some growing on you, like a fine wine!  :ganishka: The series is the same though. I didnt like it much until later until about the seventh volume or so. Stick to it!

Slan take it from me a girl, the Kojiro stuff is worth sticking around for. SO HOT!!!  :casca:  :slan:
