Buying / Selling / [FS] 20th Anniversary Guts (bloody ver.)
« on: March 25, 2015, 11:22:58 PM »
Hi all!

Been a while since I've crept back on here. I'm moving and I really don't have room for my statues anymore.

20th Anniversary Armored Berserk (bloody ver) - 1200 USD, pre-shipping, negotiable
Femto (black ver.) - 100 USD, ", "

TBH I've done some light searching and still can't find any recent sales, so I hope it's okay to take offers via PM.
Once I've found a price (I've messaged a few people, waiting to hear back), I'll update this thread with an actual price.

I ship internationally and have the product on hand. As soon as the transaction goes through, I'll head over to the post office and send it off :)

Thanks Piraan :)

And thank you to everyone else who has been PMing me. I have several interested parties, but as we all know, shipping is a killer. For those interested (and to save myself some work), here are pictures of the statues that I'm selling. Cheers!

Yep, it's that time again. Dad passed away a few months ago, need some extra dough to pay off some bills. I'm not in a financial disaster or anything, but I'm definitely out of my comfort zone. Looking around my room, there are a few things I could definitely do without. All items listed have only ever been displayed in a glass case. All items will come with original box.

Zodd III - $150
Zodd Senma - $350
Femto (black) - $250

I'll provide pics if you're seriously interested.
Thanks again, love you guys :)

Its nice but Im gonna hold until they make somthing completly new not a rereleased statue.

EASY FOR YOU TO SAY  :ganishka:

I haven't purchased any statues in a while, but I think I might have to make an exception this time. I've been waiting to buy a Guts Doldrey statue for a few years now (you can just ask Joa - I ask about it all the time), so big time score for me!

You can make a hell lot more room if you sold that special something else *nudgenudgewinkwink*

Good luck on these mate!

Thanks Piraan!

hahahh I don't think that'll happen anytime in the foreseeable future :P

Hey guys,

I'm making some room for new statues coming in by getting rid of some older stuff. The two that I'm looking to sell are:

1. Guts, Kingdom of Falconia (#296)
2. Skull Knight, standing, weathered green (#1634) *part of SK's hilt is broken, but you can't even see it. will mail it to you (or glue it on for you).

Both are in great condition and have only ever been displayed inside of a glass case.
They both come with original boxes, although the Guts box is damaged.

I'm asking for $120 for each of these, which is about $30 off market price for both. I'm open to negotiate deals if you want to buy both simultaneously.

This is both appalling and shameful. I'm sorry for what happened IncantatioN. I hope this is resolved quickly and peacefully.

Happy Bday Griff!!

AGREED. WOW, I really like some of those.  Did you buy any yesmilord?

I only bought the Jagi shirt. They were ~$40USD a pop after you do the math. @77yen/1dollar, it was rough buying anything there lol.

I just visited Japan again! While I was there, I visited the Cospa in Osaka's Den Den Town and came across some official Berserk tees that I hadn't seen on here. Check em' out!

Not Berserk, but I had to buy this one...

Whiff of nostalgia. Been playing Diablo II again. Dunno why. I think I might be stressed out from my final quarter at school lol. Hit me up on USWest Ladder if you want free stuff :) *ajinkris

Potential buyer backs out. Note that Kingdom of Falconia is still for sale! (keeping my SK now)

@Maiku: I don't ever think I could sell that, sorry :)
@0709: Sorry, only these items listed are for sale.

I have potential buyers for everything on the list right now (thanks guys!), so I will cross them off as they are sold.

Hey guys, it's been a while since I've posted here. I've been fairly busy with school and work and haven't had much extra time to dabble with Berserk statues any more. In fact, I just don't have any more money right now for them. For those of you who do not know, my major is advertising design, and at the end of our schooling, we have to spend a gagillion dollars on our personal branding stationery (business cards, letterheads, etc), a high-quality printed portfolio, a booth for our portfolio show, and various other expensive bells and whistles. It's adding up to a bit more than I originally expected. I figured since my display cases are a bit overloaded right now, that I could hopefully move some of these statues both to clear up some temporary room and give me extra monetary padding for this coming month. Nothing crazy for sale, just some of the older statues that are great for starting out anyone's collection (or for those who missed out on them earlier). I'm going to lowball myself here because I'd really much rather have the money than be concerned with breaking even. If you have any offers, go ahead and make them too.

Guts: Kingdom of Falconia @ 100

Griffith: Millenium Falcon I @ 100 SOLD
Griffith: The Shooting Star Night (Purple Mantle w/ Locus Bust) @ 100 SOLD
Guts: Hawk Soldier (LE - Green/Blue Cape w/o helmet) @ 100 SOLD
Daiba (from 20th Anniversary statue) @ 50 SOLD

Here are photos of my cases here:

All of my statues have been kept in cases and are dust/sunlight free. I have the original boxes for all of these (some of them might be slightly damaged), so expect safe shipping. That said, domestic shipping is going to cost a bit (my guess is $40-50 bucks, depending on weight), so please be aware of that. I also consider these prices to be PRETTY DARN GOOD - I remember exactly what I paid for each statue, and I'm probably undercutting myself by a few hundred dollars here. As I've stated though, the goal is to move these quickly for some quick dough, not to make a profit or even break even. So please hurry! My dilemma is your easy fortune!  :SK:

Not sure if this has been mentioned before (and it's not really relevant), but I thought I'd share a World of Warcraft resemblance  :troll:

Yogg-Saron (below), just happens to be an Old God too. Cross-dimensional brothers?

It's all good! I'm not saying the game is some amazing masterpiece either; my section of cons was definitely larger than my pros haha.

I'm just a bit appalled at some of the backlash that was given to the demo. It was actually the demo that made me want to play the game. But I think it might just be because I hadn't played Dragon Age since basically when Origins came out. I enjoyed it, yes, but did I LOVE it? Nah.

I'm actually gonna go back and play Origins again now lol. Funny how that works.

Awww guys, don't be like that :(

I was wondering why you guys didn't already create a DA2 thread, I guess I should've sifted further back in the other thread to find out that people weren't going to enjoy the streamlining. Personally, I didn't play Awakening or any of the other DLCs that came out after Origins, so I was sorely in need of my DA fix. I just managed to complete the game last night (30 hours played - pretty sure that's less than the first); I was decently thorough, only skipping a handful of sidequests and two friendship quests lines. To those who had already called it: nope, it's not as good as Origins  :iva:.

Mini-review with minor SPOILERS (if you care)

The Good

The game has been polished. The interface is much easier to follow and the general flow of the talent trees just makes more sense. Combat has been streamlined a bit, but it is definitely a welcome change from the fact that you don't have access to your core abilities early on in Origins. In this game, you can reach your more important abilities early-mid game so that you can become accustomed to how your party works. Speaking of parties, the tactics book has become much more advanced and your teammates are much more responsible this time around! Movement is more fluid, allowing AoE dodging and trap evading to be a less cumbersome task; kiting is highly encouraged! Cross-class combos allow for some interesting team compositions, instead of just mashing mages together and spamming overpowered spells (though mages are still the top class right now haha). While people may argue that this detracts from the "difficulty" of the original, I must say that I don't mind the changes as much as other people are complaining about it. If you turn the game on Hard or Nightmare, it's still as challenging as it was before.

Story-wise, we're tossed back into a Mage/Templar battle. The choices this time, however, are extremely gray. What I mean is that there's really no right or wrong choice, and it becomes extremely apparent by the time you finish the game. When it came down to it, I actually had a few tough decisions to make, and the gravity of the situation was much more grand and would affect the game in a more profound way than in Origins.

The Bad

Where do I start lol. I'll begin with some peeves. They re-used levels over and over again, and since you stay in Kirkwall for the entire duration of all three acts, it's easy to grow tired of traversing the exact same tunnels for virtually unrelated quests. Your party is now less customizable, meaning you can't give them body armor, only accessories and a weapon. I see this is both good and bad - they didn't want your companions looking like clowns, so they would upgrade their armor for you. It bugged me at first, but towards the end I really didn't care all that much anymore. I guess it was silly to put Morrigan in plate anyways  :serpico:. Quests are very hollow, meaning that they're often treadmill, leading you to random killings for coin. In fact, the entire first act is you raising enough money to enter the Deep Roads, so you end up taking a bunch of odd jobs just to get that done. Lame. Less character interactions now - you can't just talk your way into friendships, you have to complete their friendship quest lines.

The story felt hollow. Events unfold and are tied together rather loosely by the end. Unlike Origins, I found myself not really caring most of the time, especially for the characters. I admit there were one or two very shocking moments, but for the most part the pieces of the story felt disconnected and irrelevant. While we get a few familiar faces, like Anders, Isabela, and even Zevren, the newer cast is far less lovable and deprived of any wit. I loved listening to Morrigan, Alistair, Ogrehn, and Wynne banter as I strode through town - the atmosphere just isn't the same this time around. The ending was epic, but disappointing in a way once you realize that whichever path you took would lead to the same final result. It was also very abrupt and on a "cliffhanger", so you can bet on DLC in the next few months to cover some plotholes. Doh.

The honest truth is that Dragon Age II is still a very good game. It's polished, neat, and while slightly hollow, still gives you the DA fix. If it wasn't so constantly compared to the original, I'm sure most people would love this game. Oh, and you get to see Alistair again (assuming you didn't load a DA:O save where he died). That was probably the giddiest moment in the entire game for me :serpico: I'd say definitely buy it when it goes on sale. Might not be worth the $60 if you're not dying to play Dragon Age or were turned off by the demo, but I certainly think it was well worth my time.

And screenshots, of course. EDIT: UGH, sorry for how gigantor they are. I pulled them off my steam image cloud - sorry! I'll fix it later.

My warrior, Champion Augusta Hawke.

Close up of Miss Hawke.

Updated textures make DA2 look really good on the PC!

Dragon slaying redux.

The grand city of Kirkwall. Check out how good it looks!

Anders powered up.

Meredith gone batshit insane!

The new Flemmeth look.

Hopefully I'm not the only here that got the chance to enjoy the game!
