Speculation Nation / Re: Berserk's conclusion

I still feel Guts is going to win and Casca and Guts are going to be fine. Every one expects the worst but come on.

Guts & Casca turning out fine in the end would be ideal but a bittersweet type ending seems more suited for Berserk.

First and foremost,

Major props and infinite thanks to Walter, Puella, and Aaz for sending a letter out a letter to :miura: and another infinite thanks to :miura: for replying.

I don't mean to open this can of worms but with miuras comment of Berserk being 60% to 70% complete imply that he does have an ending planned out or is he still trying to make his mind up?  The reason I'm asking is because I've always been under the impression that he has had the ending planned out many years in advance, otherwise why else would an author(:miura:) have so much foreshadowing of events to come(aside from leaving more storyline options available)?  But also given his comments of that he wasn't sure if we would see the idea of evil again makes me wonder if he truly has an ending in mind.

Berserk Miscellaneous / Re: Berserk Resume Serialisation on October 24

Glad to hear berserk is coming back on October 24th  :guts:.  Does anyone know why  :miura: is taking so many long breaks lately?

Character Cove / Re: Puck - Anyone miss how he was early on?

I'm pretty sure that Puck will get his long over due character development and backstory when they reach Elfhelm.

I can't remember what episode this occurs in but when :guts: asks :puck: about why he left Elfhelm, :puck: replies that he got bored.

Now either :puck: was just being a comedic smart ass when he said it, somebody told puck to leave to get help on Elfhelm, or  :puck: got exiled.  I putting my money on exiled because of the little instance he had with Evarella, about the king (I can't remember which episode, it occurred in)

Speculation Nation / Re: Berserk nearly over? Or only halfway done?

I'd put my money on berserk ending somewhere between 55 volumes - 65 volumes.  And just out of curiosity, what is studio gaga?  Are they Miuras assistants, if he has any?

Speculation Nation / Re: If Guts uses his beherit
« on: July 29, 2008, 08:52:47 PM »
This is probably off topic but, I recall Flora saying that she herself could not remove the brand due to it being very powerful.  Does this imply that there is potentially someway for the brand to be removed?

But at the same token if the brand is removed from either  :guts: or  :casca: potentially at some point, I feel that it would cheapen the plot and potentially the central theme of the series.

But still in general the use of the beherit that guts found is one of the major X factors in the plot.

I also think another valid question is (I don't know if this was brought up in a previous thread) can a branded being such as  :casca: use the beherit to sacrifice an unbranded being such as Farnese?

It would not surprise me in the least if  :casca: does get her sanity back in Elfhelm, it would push her to the brink of desperation hence causing the beherit to be activated.  But I sincerely hope that this is not the case.  And more so ever, I'm hoping that casca is not being used as a plot device.

Current Episodes / Re: Episode 297

CONSPIRACY THEORY: Miura has the entire manga done and releases individual episodes at long intervals to maintain suspense and keep the fanbase clawing for more.

I wouldn't be surprised if he has the majority of the story already WRITTEN and well planned out in advance.  The main thing stalling the series is that it takes forever for  :miura: to draw his damn good artwork.

If he is physically unable to finish the series by drawing it I honestly hope that the remainder of the series will be released in the form of a Novel, so that way we can have at least some closure to this EPIC series.
