The remake for Let The Right One In ... called Let Me In ... what the hell!?!! First, the title is lame, then the trailer shows you exactly matching screen shots from the original movie, and it's just disappointing that they had to spend money on making the exact same thing knowing it can't get any better than the original.

Am I the only one here who can't stop watching Natalie's (CommChannel) or Phil's (sxe) videos on YT?

Yep, I was ;)

EDIT: Aahhh it's just the Helmet, ok ok cool cool.

I'm likely to say YES to this one, and wait for the color pictures to come up before making a deposit.

Aaah, thanks for clearing that up ^_^. Either way, I wish there were no Season 6! It's turning itself into another South Park.

Thanks, and go for it maan! It's one of the cheaper figures currently available, like really inexpensive compared to the rest :puck:

100 Greatest Movie Insults of All Time

Don't know if I agree, but everyone should see for themselves. :guts:
I watched this last week, absolutely hilarious whenever Arnold came on screen :rakshas:

I admit being late with the whole buying Berserk figures or any figures of the sort, but I guess now was the right time for whatever reasons. I didn't know of Art Of War till fairly recently, and also stumbled on this site as a result of it. So, I picked up my first Berserk figure off another website, and it cost me 30-40$s cheaper just on the figure alone, and another 30-40 on shipping. Was lucky I guess :p

Here're some pictures:

I'm just a little disappointed that I didn't pick this up off Art Of War because of the extra blood coupons, maan, that's a cool concept! But, yeah, the blood on the sword is not exactly red-red, and I wish there were a little more. What would you recommend I do?

I'm awfully curious about this one now, especially after seeing the Berserker helmet, and the Skull Knight face. Quick question - what'll the dimensions be for this one, and will his eyes be narrow + evil or full eyes (like the time he was doing Casca after his rebirth)?

That last picture reminded me of the scene in the manga. EPIC! I feel terrible for missing out on this one. But, I just started collecting figures a few weeks ago :p ... so, in time maybe, in time.

nice pics...but to be honest it is too expensive to buy just the houma on its own...better to get the set of 5 (with the Femto and Ganishka's face)
But, isn't that Sold Out?

I'll be getting my Houma next month.

Oh wow, VERY impressive, and so hard to pass on especially since he's such a favorite character of mine! I'm definitely interested, and shall be able to make payment for it next month.

Quick question - what are the dimensions of this (height, width), and what are the possible payment options you offer?

Who said they were dreading Tron? I already made a post on it when I first saw the trailer a while back. I don't know why but I have a good feeling on that one. The trailer was awesome.
I thought I read someone say that! All I remember was that the person has a lot of posts, if it helps :rakshas:

*offtopic* I just bit the side of my tongue, hurts like a b~tch.

I gave my Dell 6400 (my first laptop actually ... picked it up in 07 when I came to the country) to my dad last October when he came over to visit me. Prompted me to buy a new laptop. I hopped on to HP, customized it and it was priced at over 3 grand. Not worth. Hopped on to the Alienware site, man, so tempting along with the Ferrari or Lamborghini laptops, but I'd customize it and the price would kill. A pal linked me to a Vaio and I didn't hesitate, pricy though.

$1500 inclusive of shipping in Oct 2009 for a Vaio FW series - 17.1 inch, 6 GB Ram, 320 GB HD space, Intel Core 2 Duo, and the usual specs. Buying it off Newegg meant I couldn't customize it. This's my first Vaio, and I can't complain.

Can't wait to see this actually, first movie I've been somewhat excited about in a while. Might even see the midnight release if my friend can get us in for free. :badbone:
I'm bummed those midnight shows aren't sold out yet :azan:

The Wire's pretty intense.

Last night I caught up to the last 2 episodes of Futurama on the dvr. They were easily much better than the first 2 episodes, but I'm still pretty bummed they have this 4th season up and running because the original 3 seasons came together perfectly, and it was one of those 1 in a 1000 series that had a good definite end.

I never started the series because I always thought I wouldn't have the time to start watching something that expansive ... like the old and new school versions. So much to do, so little time *sigh*

Favorite Character - Brock, hands down!

I love the show! I recently watched it because my pal insisted I do, and lent me the 2 Dvds for it. He also gave me the first Sandman book, which was alright, so I'll prolly read the rest of that, wait, randomness alert in this post *smacks forehead*

I read the synopsis a few days ago, accidentally :farnese: ... and the plot is thick, and a bit of a gamble with dumb audiences!

Movies, TV, Books & Music / Re: Recommendations for Manga
« on: July 14, 2010, 08:19:59 PM »
Drifters seemed pretty interesting coming from the author of Hellsing, it's basically the same character art anyway ^_^. I'd recommend One Piece, but I'm sure someone's already mentioned that on here. A couple more for sure, I'll post em later.

I'll add my name to the list here. Next to Miura and Inoue, Nihei is one of my favorite manga artists. He excels at developing a dark atmosphere, and the massive structures he illustrates in Blame easily serve as characters themselves. I've got one volume until I'm finished with that series, and I'd like to go on to read Abara and Biomega as well. I wouldn't recommend rushing through his work, though; his style is something to be savored. :badbone:

And Oburi- I'm pretty sure that the prequel you're talking about is Noise. There's also a sequel called Net Sphere Engineer, though I don't think much of it has been released yet.
I picked up Biomega's first 2 volumes yesterday while I was looking for Berserk volumes beyond 30, at Kinokuniya. I finished the first volume this morning in the subway (my ride's about 40 minutes to downtown), and it's actually pretty good. I love the way the action is pretty quick, and it was interesting to see the opening sequence somewhat resemble that of Akira, another manga I adore.

I personally liked The Prestige better than Batman Begins, so I wonder if I'll end up liking Inception more than The Dark Knight. I guess it'll depend on the story structuring, which Nolan and his brother are very great at. However...not a big fan of Memento.  :zodd:)
For me - Batman Begins > The Dark Knight > The Prestige.

Join the Table Tennis club (.....soon*cough*)
Save up enough money for a short 2 week visit back home (somehow I think this's going to be a challenge considering how I dropped about 200,000 Yen on AOW last night *twiddles fingers*)
Practice practice practice till my fingers ache and I can put out a demo release (.....prolly giving myself 2 years time for it, that's what I said in late 09 though )

A couple more ... it'll come to me.

I'm glad Nolan isn't a fan of 3D and put his foot down when it came to the studio deciding to convert it into 3D, like Clash Of The Titans (for example which was also originally shot as just 2D).
