Totally new to me, but perhaps the Skully vs. Zodd fight may lay some light on Skullknight's past.

I thought you were talking about an anime movie... That could do the Roshinu Arc ending Guts walking away and no mention of the Holy Iron Chain knights.

Speculation Nation / Re:Speculations about events in 223-224

It was asked why Griffith fears Flora and wants her killed. Perhaps he fears her powers of magic, her knowledge of the astral and the spiritual, and he fears her ties somehow with SK from long ago. Anyone possessing strong magical powers and align themselves with the powers of good ( Guts and co)  threaten Griffith's aim to rule over his kingdom. One less member, especially an old wise woman, weakens the good group.

Flora doesn't stand much chance in joining them anyways. When she met Guts and company, she told them that she couldn't go with the me because of her fraility, thats why she was considering allowing Schierke to go along with them. Her witching days are almost over.

When Griffith ( as Femto also) did not destroy Guts ( hesitating in the ancient volume 13 LOL) and also has let him live so far through the last few chapters,  he is preserving Guts for the very last. He knows Guts has the Dragon Slayer, and the fighting skills and capacity to defeat most of the apostles. I think he still respects Guts' fighting skills on many levels. Why destroy the best when you can save it for last?

This may be explained way back in Eclipse ceremony, Guts was the only real friend that Griffith ever had or considered as a friend. "Only you made me forget my dream." Plus, Guts has been branded and unless he can find a way to totally remove the brand, he is doomed to be Sacrificed no matter if he lives to a hundred or dies at Griffith's hand.

While Guts has the determination, strength, and will to take on each apostle and kill them, he has to take on each separately while Griffith is surrounded by an army of them. Guts is going to need some serious firepower to take on that army or lure one apostle at a time away from the army. ::)

There's also some part of me that believes since Griffith used the fetus ' body to become reborn as the Millenium Falcon, Casca may have a part in Griffith's defeat and or death. He is technically 'born' from HER fetus, which came from her womb. She may just stuff him back in that womb...and unmake him. Somewhere I saw that in Heavy Metal magazine about a woman who literally shoves her hateful son back into her and he is rendered unborn, thus, no longer existing. The jaws of life ate him up. Wild speculation but who knows?

Griffith's a little big for that y'know?  :o But you can't ignore the fact that perhaps Idea planted the subconcious desire for revenge on Femto when he raped Casca, therefore allowing him to return in the resulting baby. Who knows?

Flora was cool but also kinda creepy.

Thats cause she's the only normal looking person since the Hawk arcs.  :P

Perhaps Puck will save the day! He could always do the flare he did against Mozgus's men when they were attacking Isidro and Casca, and give Serpico and the gang a chance to get the armor away from the apostles or to Guts.

Schierke's magic didn't seem to do much against the apostle, just piss him off enough to change out of human form. Will they survive another encounter with the apostles? And will we get to see Skully and Zodd fight again?!  ::) An awesome chapter and just us on the edge. I have no idea how Guts is going to escape Grunbeld, he hasn't even pulled out the blades from the shield yet.

I'm speechless  :-*

Edit: - Grunbeld's strength is insane! :o Although he does seem to be going easy on Guts is in some serious trouble. Anyone have a rough translation of what Skullknight and Zodd may be discussing? Perhaps Zodd  telling Skully to get out of the way.

Now thats Isidro and the gang have found the armor, how will they get it to Guts? The apostle they left behind didn't seem very happy. Thanks for the scans Saiyajin! ;D

Got the chapter scanned. Uploading is in progress...  :-*

My hero!  :D

Grunbeld, looks like an honorable guy, but he didn't have an guilt just smashing into that Kushan army. Locus is more the type to allow Guts to put on the armor. Perhaps if Grunbeld was like Zodd and wanted more of a challenge he might allow Guts to armor himself.

I was speaking of transformed Zodd not human Zodd, and in that battle Guts was barely holding his own; all that allowed him to do so was the DS.

However, I can't see Zodd dying, nor Skull Knight losing. Skull Knight's real fight is with Void. The water between them isn't under the bridge yet!

Plus, at the Eclipse Skully says something to the affect that he's destined to strike down Void and that its been forseen. As for the Guts vs. Zodd speculation, Guts can only hold his own against Zodd because of the DS and only when he's in his human form.

As for Skully vs Zodd, why didn't he finish Zodd off at the Eclipse ceremony instead of just severing a limb?

Moderator, my post seems to have disappered.  ??? Could you please find out what happened to it. I get the feeling someone is hacking these boards.

thanks in advance.

Walter doesn't like people posting scan links or asking for scans. Your post was probably deleted.

Anyone notice that Isidro's fighting style is similar to Judeau's? Two shortswords (well 1 shortsword and a flame dagger) and dead aim when throwing things. Perhaps Guts will give him some throwings knives..  ;)

I didn't say that he'll immediately die, but he won't be able to come back again. Wyald was sent into Hell after Zodd broke him in half.
