Current Episodes / Re: Episode 343

I absolutely loved this episode, from the monstrous pumpkins to the sexy, flamboyant witch riding a broom at the end. Miura never ceases to amaze me.

I loved Isidro tangled in the cute pumpkins, and Puck chowing down on them after the fight. I expected the episode to end midway through the wicker man fight, but Guts took him out quicker than I thought he would. He's getting pretty damn good at this monster-killing business. :guts: It's going to be a long wait until summer, but it's a great cliffhanger to leave off on. The perfect Christmas gift.

My ninja skills are improving! I hope you enjoy it!

Thanks, man! I'm hoping to watch it this weekend. It's my favorite Pixar movie.

I received my gift a few days ago, but I'm lazy, so I'm just now posting about it. Unfortunately, I don't know who sent it to me, because there wasn't a name on the return address on the package, or anything inside that indicated who it was from.

I finished reading Casino Royale and am about half-way through Live and Let Die, which might be one of the most racist books I've ever read. I'd heard things about it before, but have been pretty surprised by the content so far.

I'm a little late to the party, but I also want to thank Aazealh for putting that post together. It has me really excited for all the possible avenues the story might take, now that the gang has landed on Skellig.

Exceptionally, because this is a momentous episode, here's a full transcript of what's being said. Keep in mind it's not from the original Japanese, so there might be errors. All the credit goes to puella as usual.

Thank you, Puella! You're the best! :ubik:

True believers voted yes anyway! Glad you changed sides. :griffnotevil:

Hehe, it was pretty obvious after the least two episodes that we'd see it before the end of the year. :griffnotevil:

I'm also glad That Isma stayed with the group and I am curious as to what they are saying to her mother.

Me, too! I hope she sticks around for the remainder of the series. She's a great character.

I'd love for us to see Skellig by the end of the year, but I think we've got several more Falconia episodes to go.
I changed my vote. :void:

Called it. :troll:

I was literally trembling as I read this episode. I've been waiting for this moment for 13 years (I first read the series in 2002, so I haven't been waiting as long as those members who were reading it episodically back in 2001). I can't believe they're actually on Skellig.

I noticed a change in the art, too. Besides the bolder lines, the objects in the background look a little different from Miura's usual style, too. I thought maybe it was a new technique Miura was using, or a change in style, but it could be a filter, like Walter said.

I loved Puck's little moment with the gull (I'm guessing that's how he got off the island in the first place?). It's been a while since we've seen him irritating a bird. :ganishka:

Its face actually reminds me of those souls Schierke set free in Vritannis.

It reminded me of the souls in Vritannis, as well. Very cool. :serpico:

After the darkness that was Lord of the Flies, I've started reading the James Bond novels, beginning with Casino Royale. I need a little pick-me-up after the last two books. Yikes. :SK:

By the way, I'm not sure if it's okay for me to be triple and quadruple posting like this. Should I be editing one post each time I start reading something new? :???:

It's just a guess, but it could be him manipulating the souls from Ep 335, like in this page:

So, that's my new bet for the cover!  :daiba:

That would be really cool. I hope you're right.

I finished The Great Gatsby, and started reading Lord of the Flies. I'm glad I'm revisiting some of the books I read in high school. I appreciate them a lot more, now that I'm older. I've never read Lord of the Flies, but I've heard good things.

The child has shown a Griffith-esque behavior and even his astral body looks like him, all of this due to his connection with Femto. What about Griffith's own persona? How do we know a small part of him wasn't excited seeing Guts fighting Zodd? Can you completely affirm that Griffith hasn't been affected by the boy besides the known problems with the vessel? Maybe he hasn't and I will have to shut my mouth in the future. :ganishka:

Griffith himself says that he feels nothing when he sees Guts on the Hill of Swords. The very reason he went there was to confirm that his feelings were dead.

With one episode left to conclude volume 38 and with what we know of it already, it's to bring this up again! New takes! New ideas! New cover! What is it gonna be?

Rickshas cover! (I hope)

A Rakshas cover would be cool, but I think it's going to feature Griffith and Rickert.

Oh, the volume posters... They could be easily the volume covers. I love them! Hoping we get a badass Rakshas artwork for volume 38.

If he's not on the cover, I guarantee there'll be a poster of him.

If we don't see the island, you'll lose though!  :ganishka:

True, but the way things are going, I think we'll at least see the island from a distance before the year is out. I'm hoping that's the case with the next episode, with touchdown on the island coming on Christmas.
