Here's some good pics:

Is it just me, or does that eye look strikingly similar to Johnny Depp's eye as Captain Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean?

Could just be me...I'm a bit of a nut for Pirates...  :slan:

Shootin' the Breeze / Re: SECRET SCHNOZ 2015! Gift time!!

I know I'm a bit late, but I will be sending off my gift tomorrow!! It's an original piece of art -- so trying to find the time to make something as my Internship is coming to an end has been tough!!
I hope it makes it there before Christmas!!  :magni:

I'll definitely check this out and pass it along to my boyfriend as well! (He tried playing the game a while back, but got frustrated with not knowing what anyone was saying)
Thanks!  :guts:

I know, that Guts & Slan is a gorgeous statue, but I just can't afford it at the moment!  :puck:

It's one of the few Berserk statues that I want to get my hands on, and I wish more than anything I had enough to afford it, but I will be paying off student loans for many years to come yet....*silently weeps*

...This is the only bit of information I'm gonna say about Batman Arkham Knight before launch day ... If you want the full ending All side quests in Arkham Knight are mandatory including The Most Wanted List OPS and Riddler Challenges to unlock it.

Well guess who won't be unlocking the full ending!! :ganishka:
You're looking at the queen of avoiding side-misisons and quests! Gotta love YouTube!

Hey, could you post (or PM me) some photos of Guts and Slan? Also, how much would you charge for shipping to Canada? I am intrigued.

Berserk Miscellaneous / Re: How Many People Did You Get Into Berserk?
« on: April 21, 2015, 01:53:01 AM »
Because of the nature of my job (working at a comic book store [that also sells Manga]) I'd like to think that I have made an impact and talked my fare share of people into reading it. I have been preaching the gospel of Berserk since I started working there over a year ago, so I hope I've helped people get into it!  :mozgus:

I do know that I've gathered the local community around the store, simply because I'm so open and enthusiastic about talking about Berserk, people come into the store just to talk with me about it!  :guts:

Yeah, my reaction was "I should not be excited, but I am."

My thoughts exactly.

Berserk Miscellaneous / Re: Death Battle: Guts vs Nightmare
« on: April 09, 2015, 03:19:06 AM »
One thing that bugged me is that during the fight, was that Guts's arm cannon is on his right arm at times (like when he shoots Nightmare at point blank), and sometimes on his left... but I'm not too savvy in video/sprites-making stuff, so I guess it was simply to make the animation easier...

Yeah, cosmetic things like that tend to get ignored. It's much easier for the artist to render one sprite (and all of it's respective animation frames) with one direction in mind, and just flip the image when they're facing the other way. (That, and this show does have a release schedule to keep on track, so they don't have all the time in the world to render a new sprite just because the character is facing the other way).

I was actually only really bothered when his white streak was on the wrong side  :guts:

A few of those errors:

"in the realm of midland" Guts' popularity as the Black Swordsman isn't limited to Midland.
"flamethrower" There is no flamethrower in his cannon arm. It's primarily used as a cannon, though he can strap a repeater-crossbow to it.
"legendary hermit Godo" lol
"weighs 400 lbs" Based on what, exactly?
"killing over 1,000 demons - no, I did not stutter" Not sure what this guy's counting, because I'm the one who created the Guts Kill Roster, and the number of apostles Guts has confirmed as killed is negligibly in the range of 5-10. Total kills for every type of creature (including crazy shit like the fish in Vol 14 and the snake in Vol 15) is 1190.

Thanks for specifying those! I was seriously confused about the flamethrower bit....

I can see how the Netflix release of the first movie can increase the popularity. I, myself, was very excited to see it show up on my recommended movie list! Berserk certainly deserves the attention of the Netflix audience!

Berserk Miscellaneous / Death Battle: Guts vs Nightmare
« on: April 08, 2015, 04:25:30 PM »

Here we have the epic battle between our one and only Guts vs Soul Caliber's "Nightmare".

This is a video you don't want to miss, and while the hosts get one or two very small details wrong, they did his lore and his character justice!

I was just about to share that one here! So inedible.

Haha sorry for the repost, I was on mobile and posted it in a hurry without checking first - my apologies! (I just got so excited- I have been hoping they would tackle Guts' sword, though this it's not the Dragonslayer  :judo: ) I'll take what Berserk I can get!!

The youtube channel man at arms made a build of the pre Dragonslayer sword. How cool is this??

That was very remarkable. Made me cry like a b****.

I agree with Walter, you did a wonderful job capturing the raw emotion of the Post-Eclipse, and for that I applaud you. Breaks my heart every time when I see Guts look at Casca after those events.

I am SO in love with that Guts & Slan, but I am so broke it isn't even funny.
If I had a spare $500+ sitting aside, I would buy it in a heartbeat!! (And if I didn't have Student Loans, and plane tickets to pay for).

Whoever gets that statue will be incredibly lucky (and leave me heartbroken).

(If you can swing me a deal, or monthly payments, can you PM me?)

Hope to see photos with better lighting in the near future. Thanks for the update!

Suddenly that statue doesn't look so amazing anymore.
I am a poor University student with 2 years of loans to pay off, and a small part time job to do it with.
The 800-1000 benchmark I had anticipated is out the window. Unless I win the lottery, sadly, I shall never see this statue in my home.

Which is a great shame, I still really do love it.... *sigh*

--Also, thank you for the update, Ozuki! I had been meaning to check back on the status of that statue, but I figured I would see it here first. Much appreciated! (Even in the price broke my heart so completely)

News & Not News / Re: 12 Dead in Likely Terror Attack In Paris
« on: January 07, 2015, 08:07:56 PM »
As a Canadian, I am feeling the same emotion of fear and shock that I felt when we experienced a shooting at Parliament in Ottawa on October 22 this past year. It's just as unexpected and you never think about how vulnerable we are until something as horrific as this comes around. (Having a significant other in the Canadian Military didn't ease my stress either, our Forces have been targeted out in broad daylight recently, and it terrifies me knowing that my boyfriend could have been one of those attacked because of his part in the Canadian Forces.)
My thoughts and prayers go out to the people of France today, the best of luck pulling through this.

They all look good! :isidro: Is there any way that non-US residents can participate?

I myself live in Canada, I never found it a reason to prevent me from participating. Just be aware that you may have to pay customs on your shipment if its from outside of your home country! (I know that I did.)

I'm really glad you like it all. I hope that painting is okay; it's the first watercolor painting I did in ages. Grail was there to make sure I didn't goof it up too much.

I never get anything handmade for Christmas and that painting is above and beyond what I expected! It's wonderful!  :guts:

Merry Christmas!
