Not bad. Looks a little too "RPGMaker" to me though. It's also less of a task to make pixel art look that good at 64 pixels high. Try 21  :guts:
Oh im sure. It was actually the only pixel art of Berserk I could find though so if you manage to find any more please send them my way. I very much want to find a fully body one of Schierke or Serpico to do.

I actually made my own pixel art for a Link bead art I am going to do soon, so I cant wait to see how it comes out.

For all the the Berserk ones the bit designs came from here: http://www.behance.net/gallery/8bit-rules-BERSERK/3876371

I just edited the colors abit to work with what I had. Thank you very much though!

Heres afew more I have made. The next one I plan to work on is Zodd - Apostle Form, but its about 3 times bigger than any of the ones ive made so far. Its pretty big.

Anyways heres Zodd - Human Form

This actually came out the worst in my opinion. The entire things feels a shade to light, but I had to work the the colors provided you know? I would have loved to have one more shade of brown though. Would have made it much better.

And then heres 2 non-Berserk related ones.

A Metroid

And Portal

I know for the ones who have read the book this new episode wasn't a surprise. Maybe the way it was executed was. I saw a bunch of articles and tweets that were so shocked at Robb's death. I was too, but not to the point of those hardcore fans if the show. Waiting for the season finale next week.
I loved it. I attend a GoT night where some friends watch the latest episode an I was the only one there to have read the books. The moment the doors closed and Rains of Castamere started playing I started chuckling like a madman. Then it started.

Oh man I have never had so many people simultaneously hating me and loving me at the same time. Especially because I had spent the last 2 seasons doing my best to make them all love Robb as a character.

One thing I wish they showed more of though was Guest Right. In the books she forces Frey to give them guest right before they ever set foot in his castle again and it explains/shows just how big a deal this is. The man broke thousands of years worth of tradition for this but in the show they barely explain it at all. They also have given no history behind the Rains of Castamere song.  :judo: I had to explain that song to everyone there.

Not sure how good the game itself will be, but this has to be my favorite trailer/advertisement for a game that I have ever seen.

Are you guys still doing questions...  :???:

I enjoy the casts when I'm driving to work. Have you done one on Serpico yet?

They did one on Azan/Serpico/Farnese but not one on him alone. I really liked this one myself.

Alright I have nothing really against the Xbox One other than personal preference anymore. Seems it was just me/what I read just misunderstood what had been talked about with it and it makes me very very happy that it was just my mistake.

« on: May 24, 2013, 03:38:29 AM »
So here are some things I have been working on that I felt like sharing. They are pixel art versions of some of the Berserk characters in Perler bead form.

All credit for the Pixel Art these were made from goes to this guy: http://www.behance.net/gallery/8bit-rules-BERSERK/3876371

The biggest problem I had with these was the limited color choices for beads. As seen in all of them I am missing a shade or two that would have made them much better, but sadly there is no bead in that shade. I plan to do Zodd in his human form and Femto next.

Here is Guts as the Black Swordsman:

Guts under the influence of the Berserkers Armor:

Griffith as Commander of the Band of the Hawk:

And finally the Beherit:

While I understand that such a policy would be anti-consumer, are used games really that much of a deal breaker for you? Do you not buy new games..? Are you really that interested in saving $5-10 off the box price at GameStop?
No I dont even use consoles. But it just seems very annoying say when I buy a game, play it love it and then tell a friend about it and lend it to them now they have to pay for something  I already bought. Its not a deal breaker, it wasnt meant as that strong a comment, just incredibly annoying.

They lost any chance they had of me getting it when it was said that there was a fee to play/install used games on it. I shall stick with my PC for now thank you very much.
Has this been officially confirmed?

By Microsoft itself I am not sure, but most of what I have read on it believes it to be in there. If they come back and say that its not true and not going to happen then awesome. That would be amazing.

This is pretty good. Havnt played a text-styled game like this since Dwarf Fortress. I like how you can get random maps as well so its not the same one every time.

You thought wrong. Asscreed will never die.
Aww. I liked 1 and 2. After that they went stupid though I can agree.

The trailer for Ender's game has been released.

I love the book, so I'm going to give the movie a chance. I'm hoping they at least delve into the evolution of Ender and how he solves all of the problems presented before him.

If not, then this movie is going to blow.
I saw this and it made me abit sad. Reminded me of every other Sci Fi space movie which is really disappointing because of how amazing Orson Scott Cards books are.

Loved the cast, as always. I never really thought about how much water is used/referenced before this now. Something to think about in my next reread.

OoT and Majora's Mask are my two favorite Zelda games. I haven't played any after Twilight Princess though so maybe the new ones are really really good.

Also hello!

Sorry about the bath my friend.

« on: May 04, 2013, 05:09:38 PM »
Great job on the helmet so far. It looks great. I've done some stuff with Pepakura before but I have never tried to do a full suit of anything. Just a helmet/mask here a sword there. I also have yet to try and fiberglass anything because I just haven't had good weather which is surprising since its May.

As for Berserk I have searched *a lot* and have yet to find a Berserk Pepakura file to start with. I'm thinking you would have to make your own. The best I found were some 3d Beherits but small thing's like that are very hard to make using Pepakura.

I am currently working on a Dragon Priest mask from Skyrim myself. My first coat of resin on the one day I did have good weather didnt have enough hardener in it so it came out just badly colored by it. I hope to get a chance to redo the coat soon.

Image should be a good size now. Also turns out spoiler tags do not infact cover images very well.

I  love the Soul's series, though I have not played it since I finally beat it awhile ago. It loved every minute of this frustrating, rage inducing game. Same with Demon Soul's.

I ran through both as a heavy armor, 2 handed sword wielding knight. Couldn't dodge for shit but I could do a slug fest pretty well.

Berserk Miscellaneous / Re: Introduction to Berserk
« on: May 04, 2013, 12:08:19 AM »
Who introduced you to berserk?
My step father actually. He had been reading the series for awhile and when he learned I liked to read Manga as well he showed Berserk to me. I love him and hate him for it at the same time because Berserk is the best Manga I have ever read but it has also made it difficult to enjoy other Manga's since I started.

What and Who are your sources?
When I first got into the Manga I used scans (( :magni: Wait wait wait, don't murder me yet just read on.)) but after finding this place around 6 months ago I started buying the volumes. I did this so that I could support the series, get good translations so I can better understand everything and so that I would not have to rely on scans to read this amazing manga. I only have 22 of the Volumes so far ((Students budget sadly)) but I'm getting another one every two weeks or so. Give me a bit and I should have them all!

What memorabilia from berserk do you have?
None from retailers. Other than the volumes the only Berserk related things I have I make myself. Things like pixel bead art of the character's or Pepakura style made objects.

What other manga or anime are you into?
Ahhh this is a hard one. Since getting into Berserk there are only two I really read. The Breaker, a Korean Manga and I have recently gotten into Vagabond from reading posts about it here though I'm not very far into it.

Oh hello by the way. First post after awhile of lurking. Love the pod casts!
