Shit.  People wear the Berserk watch right?

I'll echo the sentiment that it looks well done but it isn't for me.

I got mine.  Really kind of sucks that this sold out and Serpico didn't.  This will further push AoW towards remaking characters.

Looks awesome.

I'm VERY pleased with the smaller footprint.  I'm out of space :(

Looks awesome!  Though it is another Zodd....

All these great easily accessible kits popping up is going to make it hard for me to keep my AoW collection complete. :(

THREAD DERAILED!!!  :griffnotevil:

1/6 Guts turned into Sideshow vs. AoW turned into debating the quality of Pop Culture Shock's (not Sideshows) Street Fighter line.

ANYWAY.  Heading home for the weekend, I rent a second place closer to work during the week, and my Guts should be waiting for me.  Can't wait.   :ubik:

how about the fight between guts and Griffith in vol. 8?

Both at 1/6?  YES PLEASE!

for a future project how about slan or the AOW guts & slan diorama,I don't have it .

I prefer a new design.  How about Farnese, Azan or Human Locus since we don't have those characters.

Again, with the price policy they practice, they can't expect every product to instantly sell out. I think as long as it's all gone within a few months they can consider it a success.

The vast majority of sales of collectibles are at release.  This comes from the end consumers being hyper aware of the product line.  The non bloody version of this, I am sad to say, will probably be the next Judeau.

We're just going to have to rely on kit makers to give us the human characters we want.

Berserk by Hot Toys would be a dream come true!

As for size there aren't very many Japanese companies making 1/4 scale stuff.  Japanese people don't have the space.

As far as price.  There is no good reason for it :P

Haha I had the same thought as the rest of you on blood. ;)

Maybe there just are alot of people out there that just have one or two statues. Fucking sucks.

I just ordered mine last night.  One regular and one bloody.  (For a friend)

Sadly I was order number 33 on the bloody and only 15 on the regular.  I don't think that bodes well for future secondary character releases. :'(

Good to see the character getting made.  Tough decision on which one to get.  I agree that Serpico is not typically covered in blood.  On the other hand I have the bloody version of just about every statue.

Those aren't on sale at the event, they're just presented as a kind of sneak preview. You'll definitely be able to order them online when they come out. I'm more interested in their 1:1 replica of Guts' prosthetic forearm myself. I wonder how good it is.

I'm curious if part of it will be forged like the Hokuto No Ken 1:1 helmet.  If that is the case.  $$$$$$$$$

Maiku and Yesmilord, WOW!! This just inspires me to get more statues haha!

Where did you guys get the glass/ display rack from?? I was thinking of getting something for my apartment.

Thanks man!  Like Aaz says they are Detlofs.

Honestly I'm not in love with them.  The most expensive stuff, Zodd Vs. Wyald and 20th Anniversary, doesn't fit.  In the next 12-24 months I'll be moving and I'm going to pick up something better.

Just check Tonboya's website or the auction and compare, like The Beast of Darkness said. I think a lot of the details look better: the face (did I even need to say it?), the fur, the paws, the paint job, etc.

I was hoping for more detailed shots.

Talking about the paint doesn't make much sense though since this is a kit.

New Irvine kit by Tonboya (in his apostle form). It's pretty much the same pose than AOW's statue, but it looks a lot better to me. Height is 25 cm, length is 30 cm (including the tail). Priced at ¥15800.

Why is he better?  Those shots are pretty wide.  Are there more pics available somewhere else?  I'd like to make a comparison before buying a second similar piece.

Thanks for the info ^_^ *excited*

You made a good purchase man :)

As much as I like the Berserker helmet this one is far superior in design.

Hottoys buys license and prefers monopoly.  With their style they would not allow AOW to make anymore if they obtained the license.  So either AOW makes them or Hottoys.  You just can't have it all bro  :schierke:

I've been to their site lately and they tend to prefer buying 'exclusive' rights to a particular series. Since AOW and others make Berserk too, the chances are slim.  Hottoys' flagship store + HQ are located in Hong Kong.  I can go and ask the staff in person next time I'm there.

You sure about that?  They made 1/6 Watchmen figures and so did DC direct.  We're not even talking about the same franchise but the same product category.

Now that I think about it Hot Toys, Medicom AND DC Direct made 1/6 Dark Knight figures.

Anyway.  Hot toys is my favorite company making figures right now.  I would LOVE for them to make Berserk stuff but I just can't see it.
