O I am so in!

Well.....I'm always in but.....well......I'm REALLY IN!

Also I like the Puck Dio but...........Jesus it is the 5th puck piece in less than a year.

Glad to see they finally abandoned the green SK bullshit. :troll: Silver and bone, now that's good. :SK:

In general I agree with you but I've gotta say the Weathered Green Skull Knight is the best one.

Berserk Merchandise / Re: Where can I get a GrunBeld statue?
« on: September 08, 2005, 01:35:50 AM »
I was really looking for a new 1, but yo I think we can work something out.

Considering Art of War only sold them directly getting a new one is gonna be tough my friend.

Maiku: If you could take photos of your Exclusive 1, it would be appreciated, cuz I want to compare the look of the Bloody vs the Non-Bloody. Thanks

But I'm sooooooo laaazzzzyyy.........oh alright here.

Well I was going to imbed them in the post but I forgot to reduce the image size.  I'd like to blame the poor picture quality on my camera.  Unfortunetly it is a really nice camera and it is just my fault the pics didn't come out great.

Honestly I don't know what I'm going to do.  I want to keep both but that really isn't reasonable.  I'll probably end up selling or trading the non-bloody version.  If anyone is interested in trading for it I'm in the market for an exclusive God Hand, Zodd 1 or a partial trade towards a Guts on Horseback.

How much are you looking to spend for Grunbeld?  Mine was damaged but repaired.  See this thread.  http://www.skullknight.net/yabbse/index.php?topic=4592.0

(I want to buy the exclusive version)

Hmmm odd.  I just got the shipping quote on my pucks last week.  (paying it today or tomorow)  O well I love my Zodd as well.

Awesome pics Derek.  The only thing is that the lighting makes the blood jump out more than it does in person.  (not that the blood looks bad in the pics or in person)

I will take pictures tonight and hopefully update the site by tomorrow.  Awesome!

A good excuse for me to be lazy.

Shootin' the Breeze / Re: Any Firefly Fans 'Round These Here Parts?

I liked the show.  It isn't a big investment of time since it is only 13 eps.  Some people are absolutely in love with it.

784
O yes he came today!  I couldn't believe that it got delivered on a Sunday morning.

I really like him.  If I feel like it I'll post a review later tonight.

Dude I hate to say it but I really don't think that is the statue you got.  If it is you got the deal of the century since it goes for about four to five times what you paid.  You probably bought the PVC statue.

Berserk Merchandise / Band of the Hawks Banner
« on: September 03, 2005, 01:45:00 PM »
3-4 years ago at Otakon I saw a Band of the Hawks banner.  It was probably 4-5 feet at a diagnol and cost $50.  At the time I had no money so I couldn't get it but I've never seen it since.  Anyone know where I may be able to pick it up?  I'm guessing it wasn't official.

OMG how many body parts did you pawn off to buy 3 , especially with the shipping on those suckers!!!

One is for a friend so we could split the bank fee............as for me I couldn't decide which of the two I wanted so I'm just gonna sell the extra one. :guts:

Has anyone been notified to pay on this yet. I got an email back in Aug saying they would send us payment details by the end of Aug, but havent heard anything yet.

I asked because I assumed when I switched jobs they were trying to use my old e-mail.  They said I would recieve an invoice "shortly".

EDIT: .......and then I go and check my e-mail.  I just got the invoice for Femto and Puck.

which shows you why this one isn't going to do well in America....

No one wants an over priced, under quality statue...

Though I'm tempted to buy one from hobbygeneration too as I really dig this statue and I'm obsessed w/ Berserk statues and figures... :D :D

Well another reason why no one in America will be it is because the Berserker hasn't shown up in the American version of the Manga.  The only people that know what it is are people that import the manga or DL scanlations.

Well, the majority of the initial costs is the scupt itself, not the mould (due to logic reasons) and generally speaking, the sculpt is already done.

I don't know man.  I've worked at companies that make toys and stautes.  I've seen invoices in person for these things.  For resin yes the sculpt is the most expensive part.  For PVCs and action figures the mold is typically WAY fucking more expensive.  It isn't even close.  Like I said I don't know about brass I'm going to look into it but your blanket statement is incorrect.

EDIT: Okay I just talked to a production buddy of mine from the toy company I used to work for.  He said they may be doing something called an investmest cast with sand if the production run is low.  Expensive because it is time consuming.  He said they may be able to use a steel tool like I thought but he has no experience with it in mass production so he didn't know.

Too bad too, I think a lot of people would RATHER have had a PVC of the resin pose then this one...which makes me think AOW is trying to get the resin statue buyers AND the action figure buyers to buy the same stuff - ie: this new PVC...

It worked on me since I bought both...........The real reason was keeping PVCs and action figures on my desk at work and resin at home.  Now with my new job I work from home.  Oh well I already paid for the PVC so I'll end up just keeping it probably.

I bought my PVC Zodd apostle for $120 shipped and the Zoddo w/ wings was going for only $250.oo at the SDCC back in 2003...

I don't know what it's worth now, but I know Jess Bansal, who used to work for Toycom, said back then that he couldn't sell them for that price...

Wonder where you all were?  :???:

I was in college eating ramen.  Now I have a full time job.

I dunno, if it was a new scupt, it would justify it partially, but I wouldn't buy it.

It probably costs them at most $150 to make (because they have the cast already, so most of the research and development is already done) and they are majorly overcharging for it.

100% untrue.  The plaster mold that can be used for resin definetly can't be used for brass.  I'm going to ask someone about this today.  They do save some money not having to resculpt it.

Another point of reference could be the bronze Gandalf that Sideshow put out.  Bronze is more expensive than brass but still that was $6,500.........now I still think this is a bit over priced but I'd definetly say it costs them more than $150 a unit.
