Sorry to dig up this topic but are the links dead? I can't access them. I looked up online to try to find this talk but every website I found redirects me to these links. Do you know where I can still read it? :mushisadfrown:

Haha, thanks! Great work! :serpico:

Not bad, but I'm not fan of the 3D brand in the first one, maybe try to make it carved in the rock, and as Jackolyn said a touch of blood on it could be nice.
The second one is nice, but I think this hill needs more swords!

Haha, good idea Delta Phi, the result is nice! But why you didn't do it with the colour version Patovs?

This one is probably my favorite! I'm particularly impressed by his eye (great hair too). Too bad for the side you screwed up, but I think you shouldn't leave it like that, maybe you could try to do the half of Femto's face? If you like the idea of course, and if it's not too late (I don't know anything about painting).

Welcome DarkSideWarrior!

I like Berserk so much, it is my reason of life from many many years...

In that case, I believe you've come to the right place! :serpico:

Berserk Anime / Re: New Berserk Anime for 2016
« on: March 26, 2016, 10:38:53 AM »
This one is more appealing than the first one for sure. But yeah, the coloring of Serpico and Farnese is quite disturbing. Unfortunately there is a lot of CGI, it was expected, but I'm looking forward to see more.
And this new Hirasawa song is nice.

Berserk Anime / Re: New Berserk Anime for 2016

Might be wishful thinking, but I'll be crossing my fingers!!  It almost sounds too good to be true.  And in less than 24 hours we should have a new trailer too.  AHHHHH the suspense!  :???:

After this new visual, I really hope that it won't be like the first one. Like you said, the suspense is intense!

I'm trying to stay really open minded about this project...but, does anyone else think Guts's face looks weird in that picture? It looks like some random swordsman is wearing a rubber Guts mask. I think it may be his mouth/lips and the way the shadows lay that's throwing me off.

I don't agree with you on that, I think he's simply grimacing like a boss. But the features of his face are very accentuated by all the shadows, maybe you find it weird because of that.

Puck Vs Albatross dramatic reenactment.

I would love it!
And I'll add that one representing Molda flying with her broom wouldn't surprise me, introducing the new character. Except if episode 343 isn't featured in.

I love questions! While I can't be precise, it's definetely close to two hours, maybe even a little more.   :magni:

That's why the outcome is great! Keep it up!

Berserk Miscellaneous / Re: Skellig Island
« on: March 22, 2016, 08:14:50 PM »
This one has most likely been mentioned, but I just started playing The Witcher 3, and noticed there is a location called the Skellige Islands. I wonder if the name was influenced at all by Berserk?

No, the "The Witcher" games are based on the book series "The Witcher Saga" written by Andrzej Sapkowski, and Skellige is in there, they didn't invent it for the game. And I think Skellige was mentioned in it before Miura mention Skellig in Berserk. I believe it's a coincidence, they simply had a similar idea for the name.
By the way this saga is really great, and I think whoever likes Berserk should try to read it and should enjoy it.

Happy to have a release date, thanks. But I agree with what has already been said about this new design, I don't really like it either, the current design appears to be more modern than this one.

Great, thanks!

Personally I'm sticking to my "wait and see" approach on this one. I'll reserve my judgment until it airs.

I'll stick with you, but I'm glad that we finally had the chance to see Puck! :puck: (in the corner of a rotated page... :schierke:)
And is there some interesting info to translate that we don't know yet on this page?

Not really an interesting question, but out of curiosity how much time do you spend for drawing the hair? It's quite detailed!

It's only weird in how you're choosing to interpret it. Their souls were doomed to the Vortex. Normally a human doesn't survive being branded because of the "feast" that happens. Guts and Casca are anomalies in that regard. But it doesn't change the fact that the deal has already been done. The arranged marriage stands, regardless.

You don't need the soul to go into the vortex for the sacrifice to be complete. The sacrifice itself is sufficient. In theory they would not have survived anyway if the Skullknight had not interfered. The sacrifice was still done though. Except when they'll die they will join the vortex. (unless further in the story there is a resolution for that little detail of afterlife)

So in other words, we can say that the feast is sort of "optional" and only consists of a tradition/rite, the fact that the souls of the sacrificed ones are doomed is sufficient, they can die now or later without any consequences.
I've never seen Griffith's sacrifice as incomplete since indeed they let Guts and Casca be, so I didn't really ask myself any questions about it before today.
Thanks to both of you for your answers.

The price of the brand isn't their deaths, but their souls being chained to the Vortex. So yes, it's complete. Besides that, why would the other God Hand or Femto tolerate their success in escaping certain death...?

Their souls would join the Vortex only if they die, no?  In that case, how could it be complete? Or are you saying their souls aren't in their body anymore? I'm not saying it's incomplete but I don't understand, it seems weird.
And for why they would tolerate their escaping, maybe it's because Griffith's transformation into Femto is over, so it doesn't matter anymore to them (to Femto at least) since the purpose of the ceremony is achieved.

In my opinion the animation of it looks better than what we saw in the trailer. (I'm not jumping on conclusions about this upcoming anime, just a statement about what I saw)

Here you go a sneak peek at Wyald, wish I made more progress but I've been a little busy, I still need to finish the snake baron, but thats how it goes as you can see he'll have some size to him.

Thanks, and no problem, take your time, it's a great start! And yeah, what a size! :isidro:

I guess I have to watch "I Saw The Devil" then, thanks for the recommendations guys!

Have either of you guys checked out any of the other films in The Vengeance Trilogy?

Yeah I also watched Sympathy for Mr.Vengeance, and as Skeleton said it's a fantastic one too. But I haven't seen Sympathy for Lady Vengeance yet.

I watched Oldboy (2003) yesterday, an awesome movie with an unpredictable ending and a really great soundtrack. I was truly surprised, I recommend it to anyone who might be interested (the original version).

Speculation Nation / Re: How do you think Berserk will end?
« on: February 28, 2016, 07:39:18 PM »
That bad? It did seem like Griffith creating a virtual heaven on earth was heading towards another fake eclipse at least. Falconia isn't exactly the kingdom in the sky Griffith was after, and people are going to start asking questions when he doesn't age, but a more immediate problem is keeping the his army of Apostles thirst for blood under control.

Sort of, I understand Delta Phi's reaction. Without getting into the specifics of your ending, a lot of your ideas are either baseless or can't happen. I kinda picture what you're saying but it doesn't match with what we actually know about it. And for the rest I also agree with Delta Phi.

But I like your imagination! :)
