IIRC, the prosthetic has a spring system which closes the grip when the arm is bent, and opens the hand when his arm is straightened out.

Thanks Bakou.

Hmm, it looks like Schierke isn't a willing passenger on the beast.  BUt Guts just carved up 3 makara in short order.  He's a fucking Ginsu, baby. :guts:

Well, on that Pi call, the reciever pushed off of the DB's chest right in front of the official.  If he had kept it below the waist, it would never have been called.

The only really bad call was that 15 yard penalty on Hasselbeck after the pick.

Casey Hampton was great tonight for the Steelers.  Alan Faneca also.  I honestly felt the MVP should have gone to one of them.

If I married her I'd consider it a challenge.

Thats sweet, DemiAngel! I'm a big fan of 2D fighting games.
(Imagines Berserk running off Guilty Gear XX engine) Drool...

Hey, they already did it with Fist of the North Star, who's to say we won't see one of Berserk in the future?

Character Cove / Re: Just how screwed up is Guts?

Look, the fundamental truth to Guts is that he is indeed a nice guy.  But he's been hurt in so many relationships that he hides it from everyone until he learns wether or not he can trust them.  Once he actually has friends and loved ones, he is the most fiercely protective of the as anyone can get.

I'd like to mention Total Annihilation and Planescape: Torment.  Though the latter is single-player.

I've got to give Pittsburg the edge in the Super Bowl.

Damn, I'm batting an even .500, shit.

I'm calling Carolina and Pittsburg to win then.  But Pittsburg should fear the kicker.  Sauerbrun shall smite thy return man mightily.

BTW, is what's Alexander's status?

Well, I'm 1-1 so far this weekend.  Funniest play was when the kicker forced a fumble.  You just know that return man will get all sorts of shit for that.

Well, the Super Bowl threepeat is still unattained.

It's hard to predict who will win some of the games this weekend.

I have to give the nod to the Panthers over the Bears, mainly based off of QB experience in the playoffs.  If the Panthers can get a semblence of a running game going, just to keep the Bears from totally teeing off on Delhomme, I think they can take it, plus they're coming off of absolutely bitching the Giants.

Well, I can't really explain this one, but I'm picking the Redskins over Seattle.  Just a gut feeling.

I'm torn on the Pats and Broncs.  After all, the Pats have Belichek, who is excellent in gameplanning rematches, and Brady (well, really the whole Pats organization) has just been money in the playoffs. Still it's in Denver, and they have been damn good this year.  I'll go with the Broncos.

Finally, the Steelers just exploded last week for 31 making this look like a good game.  But then I remember two things:
1. The Bengals suck on defense against good teams.
2. The Colts are fucking scary when their starters suit up.

The Colts might start off a little slowly due to rust, but they're taking it.

Whoa, thanks Aaz.

Nice episode.  I can't decide if the eye at the end is the malevolent one of Daiba, or perhaps just the form of an elemental she's having to dig down to reach.

Good to see Casca taking charge of some one again. :serpico:

Not a huge football fan ( i like to play, rather than watch).  But I do enjoy the superbowl...

Voted for the redskins 'cause that was mah granpappy's team.

...they don't stand a chance, do they?
awww :judo:

I wouldn't count them out to make the Super Bowl.  While the Seahawks have to be the NFC favorites, the Redskins are hot right now, and the gap between Seattle and the rest of the NFC is not very big.

And speaking of bowls, how about that Rose Bowl?

I gotta go with the Colts.  To anyone who wants to point at that 2 game skid, it should be noted that over half their defense was sitting, including 3 of the 4 Linemen.  When they are fired up, they are the scariest team in the NFL.

As for the Seahawks, they're good, but they aren't heads and shoulders above the competetion.

And I've got two words that make me doubt the Bears' defense: Steelers game.

Wait, if it's Stacy-X, then she was actually pulled from the comics.  Still, it's not like she's a major character or anything.

If the next batman movie doesnt have Joker, that's is simply insane. Think about it, the arch nemisis of Batman is Joker. Those two created one another, and it's just gotta be him, if it's someone else, it's just going to go so far away from the real story of batman.

Joker had absolutely nothing to do with creating Batman, and Joker's origins have never been clearly established.  Besides, Joker said he prefers his past to be multiple choice, though most go with the Red Hood story Majin Tenshi mentioned.

As for Venom, I believe that was an aftermath of "Secret War" in the comics (Spidey needed a new costume, but used the wrong device, which gave him the symbiote instead), but the space shuttle was used in the cartoon, since the whole crossover would be hard to pull off.

And I tend to be skeptical about the new Superman movie, considering all the shit that it's gone through.  All I can say is thank the diety of your choice that Burton's ideas got axed.  And while Batman Begins was great, the butchering of John Constantine and the rest of the Hellblazer cast keeps me wary of movies based off of DC properties.

Well, I suppose the first thing would be knowledge of it, even if that knowledge is rather suddenly thrust upon you such as in Guts's case.  Also perhaps a tool, such as the Beherit, or intervention by a being already there.  I'm not sure if there's a hard and fast rule.
