While I think you are right about not stopping at a mere wound under normal circumstances, I don't think either intends to kill the other in front of the children. They have certainly had "killer intent" with each other in the past, but Guts is forgiving when things turn out ok, particularly to Serpico and Farnese who were sever pains in the ass to him for a good while.

I don't think either care so much about "the children moral safety" not to kill each other in front of them. That certainly would not be the first killing that they see.
Surely Serpico is acting out of what he thinks is best for Farnese but there is also the "gunslinging factor" to consider. Both , Serpico and Guts, are masters of the sword in their own way, and after their first fight I am sure that both want to see for sure who is the absolute best.

BTW  in the Iliad was quoted a character that was invincible with the mace  but was killed  by an astute adversary that lured him in a wood where he   had no space to swing his weapon

It's mostly another thing
And what one? They(Guts and co) cannot know if Farnese is  happy or not to have returned to her home. Anyway Serpico is the one that saw the encounter bethween Farnese and Magnifico so is also the one that know what their real deal was. Also with "mother dearest" greasing the goose the way she does, I am not sure at 100% that Farnese is now so determined to leave for going adventuring again. However good old Ganishka could change many things with his attack on Vritanis...

Thanks you Aazealh.

But when did the first invasion of the Kushan happen?  Before or after Gaisserick ?

Could it be the mysterious dark shadow? Maybe the Kushan attack on Vritannis is about to begin, using Daiba's most powerful weapon, unmatched even by the Makara. :o

Something or someone is coming, that is sure (or it is already here) and it can fly ( the two lights that Serpico saw last issue)

Guts doesn't seem so selfless to me. He decided that Farnese  was a DID (Damsel in Distress) at the very last page (before he had many doubts about to leave things like they are or not) when he saw that Casca without Farnese was totally impossible to handle

These words speak volumes:

Guts - A ship in exchange for taking care of Casca and a good meal just doesn't add up

Thank you Aazealh for the episode, and thank you Puella for the summary.

The "Favor" really intrigues me.  What was the Favor?
Why must Farnese not return?
The two things are related I think: Farnese cannot return until she had done Magnifico "his favor"
For what reason would Serpico leave Farnese behind so easily?(it just seems normally he would always remain at her side.)
Unless she ordered him to do so (remember that she was worried about Casca)
Is her staying behind a ploy in a well elaberated plan by her brother?
I think so too

Did you read what I've been saying? From what we see in the last panel, he brought the clothes he got from Schierke back, meaning he's probably planning to come back to her after delivering the message to Guts and co.
Or maybe because he would need them again in the future and he will if he remains with the group ( He had no reason to return them - They were his own- the weapons were from Flora, but they were a gift)

Thank you Puella and Aazealh

Thanks Aaz

I couldn't imagine the brother helping Farnese and Serpico, he seems more concerned with his own problems and might even see this as an opportunity to look better in front of Daddy and stop the two if they take matters into their own hands.
Then again the possibility of the brother helping Farnese and Serpico to spite the father can't be ruled out.

I agree.  Anyway the only way for good old Magnifico to help his sister (and I doubt that he will do it) would be to get a ship for them, Because, otherwise, even if she could leave the palace, Farnese would remain trapped in the city and now that her father knows that she is in Vritanis he would have no problem at all to find her again

Ok, so... Serpico is Farnese's brother... and what about this Magnifico character? He calls Farnese's father "dad"... so she must be his sister? And maybe this George charecter he refers to is another sibling? Big family.

Farnese's dad... what a pimp.

Magnifico too is the worthy son of such a father. If Abel was like him you should give Cain a medal  :P ;D

It is very simple: You have a rolled newspaper and the duty to protect the streets from dogs and flying saucers. Beware , if you want to avoid the charge of excesive violence you have to strike the dogs only when they raise their hind paw (not before , not after) and strike them only in their ehm "pride"  ;D
O.K. wrong adress. The correct one is this :
