Behelit Origin

Hey guys, new here. So I haven’t been able to find anything on the internet regarding this, so I apologize if it’s been discussed here before. But I was on my second read-through, and came across something that peaked my interest. Do you think it’s possible that remaining souls that are sacrificed are recycled into behelits? Go down a bit into the chapter when Griffith is “sinking” as he’s being transformed into Femto. It appears that the sounds of the Band of the Hawk attach to him as he “sinks” and he sees what looks like Behelits. Which would explain why they have a humanoid face. Maybe I’m digging too deep, just thought it was interesting.

Nah, it's Griffith's tear that does that. If you carefully examine the sequence of events, the screams of the Falcons that pierce through Griffith precipitate the shedding of his final tear, which then drops into the abyss and creates the beherits.
