Elden Ring (New From Soft Game)

Leveling system will be different if I am not mistaken. For those who capitalized on glitches and becoming lvl 900 will not have an effect for this DLC.
I'm actually waiting for them to elaborate on this aspect before starting a brand new character and lead it to lvl ~120 for a fresh DLC adventure. My MC is in NG+4ish at level 200+, without any level balancing system DLC would be a nightmare. Hopefully we'll get some information on this aspect before the actual release.

So Nightreign is out today (78 metacritic), and I was checking Twitch to see how the game is. The top three streams that I've checked are all trying to play solo. :ganishka:

I really feel like From Software miscalculated people's tendencies in these games. They surely have data on the percentage of players who seek out PvP and PvE sessions, but they must have thought it was enough to prop a whole new game launch on it.

Still, I am glad that the company is trying something new, even if that new thing doesn't really appeal to me.

I guess they were trying to capitalize on the seamless co-op mod's popularity with this game, but I imagine the majority of players see these games as purely single player experiences.

Single-player? I feel like the surprise has been that the game can be played solo, but it's incredibly difficult. All the marketing was around the multiplayer aspect though, so that's what I felt would stick in most people's minds.

I agree. It’s better than continuing to pander to the incessant fanbase that has spawned from their games.

Innovation is so important for long running games to do. Even if it turns some fans off. Fromsoftware always has another game in the oven as we speak. So maybe the next one will be more of preferable taste.

I meant from software games in general, that's the playerbase they've fostered, so it doesn't surprise me that you're seeing people try playing the game solo. Sorry if I wasn't clear.

Hey I'm new here pretty much just got my thing accepted but I LOVE from soft games my favorite so far is bloodborne I started with ds 3 first though which I saw mentioned earlier lol but yeah I love the games in general and Miyazaki was actually VERY HEAVILY inspired by berserk ALOT of the weapons and armour are inspired by it and there are body's on wheels in some of the games as well and the crushing wheel from bloodbourne is straight out of berserk

Bandai Namco also confirmed that Nightreign will be getting a patch next week that should make the experience easier for solo players

Well that didn’t take long :ubik:
