With the streak of a tear, Like morning dew

I could always email you when Guts and Griffith have their final battle cumshot? ;)
Seriously, why is anyone looking forward to Elfhelm more than anything else? Especially considering Vritannis is going to be full of hordes of Ganishka worshippers tearing people to pieces. Isn't anyone a little curious about how Guts is going to deal with this (Dragon Slayer aside)? Helfhelm is so far away, I'm not even interested yet. It might be a break in the story, a time for reflection, the curing of Casca(!okay, that's interesting!), a great battle, a burned out shell; I don't know, it'll happen when it happens but I honestly wouldn't trade the things that are going to lead up to it to see it a day sooner.
Also, I think Serpico is a lot more interesting and complicated than you give him credit. He might be the most realisitc character in the series; his parts are greater than the sum you see most of the time. He's not Farnese's dog, he's her rabbit, actually. =) But he chooses to be, he's not a weak person, what he's doing requires stength and sacrifice beyond my imagination. One that isn't recognized I might add, much like Guts. And just wait until he gets fucked up protecting the group from a berserk Guts, the Behelit rolls his way, he sacrifices Farnese and then attacks Guts in Beast-Serpico form! Or not, whatever. ;D
And I respect asmer for searching for the best answers rather than just making arbitrary stands and statements like the rest of us. :)
