The kid still hasn't won me over. 
Wow, hes showing some pubescent bravery long delayed after months of training with the most badass swordsman to ever live against something that isn't human.
Regardless of my beliefs, it was a dope chapter and I CANNOT wait till the next one comes out. I would find it slighly humorous if the merrows everyone here speaks of never made an appearance, but if I was a betting man they are a key element to Gatts's defeat of the sea god. However many chapters/months that may be away.
