My little Drawings / comics corner.

Been drawing little stupid things and little comics for what is like 22+ years or so, even tho i usually keep a lot of this stuff to myself...

Some of this stuff i present today is more or less old, and a little bit cringe when i look back to it, that's how it is... I won't deny being influenced by Berserk but also i add a lot of my own country lore and folklore to it.

I'll tell you when it's much more recent work.

Theses are covers and illustrations from 2010's (a little bit more work involved on theses then the rest of the drawings of that era i might add because, well, those were considered the first few introductory pages of the context and a cover ) :

Draan Lennart Askeladd just means something along the lines of " Lion heart covered in ashes " in old gaëllic / norrois

What i'll add too is that for most of it is done through invention / Memory drawing so there will be a lot of little errors but it's also the way i learned the most.

There are certainly some mistakes and very weird choices (especially some dialogues' placements), but it's interesting. I don't get why the pages are so long though.

Yeah, english isn't really my native langage and this was done like 15+ years ago.
Some of the pages were long like that because i was trying to make them in a blog post format at the time.

And again, i will allways try 99.99% of the time to make every drawing a projection of what i have in my head / from imagination and invention / experience (and past observation) i take a little pride in doing it allways this way even if it has mistakes, as i can look back to 10+ or 5+ and sometimes even months old drawings and see where i'm honestly lacking.

( I'll keep posting pages of that story to show where i came from and how little by little i improved over the course of that story and a few other comics to show how it evolved )

Thanks for sharing, Ludya! The style of the comic you shared reminds me of Vinland Saga (or what I've read of it, anyway). Your more recent stuff has shown a lot of development over the years! Was 2010 really 15 years ago?! I especially like the character designs you shared with the armor with three wolves' heads on it. Looking forward to seeing more.

Thank you, yeah, years fly by now hat we are all getting in our late 30's or early 40's i'm afraid...

I'll still share the old comics yeah, right now i'm trying to stretch my legs on doing something a little different like backgrounds and other things ^^ so i can show a little bit of my raw sketching / preparating process (WIP :)

Okay, now i will share the rest of that first project i made 15 years ago, i have to warn you, the beginning is a bit "rough" and i went back to drawing after a long time in convalescence after a construction work accident that made me invalid for a long period of time ^^ still, i had a bit too much "fun" with some elements of the story and i was a bit too influenced by movies like Evil Dead probably, hence the cringe humor (i would redo this today i would probably make it a little bit more atmospheric and serious at times rather then a bit too immature with the humor, but hey, i was much younger okay ? We all make mistakes xD )

So you're warned because, it might be very silly at times ^^

Also, character sword is a familly memento that is in two separate parts that have to be assembled in a mechanical / specific way, then it can also reconfigure mechanically this way to become a very long / huge hammer (that can be accellerated / propelled by what seem to be powder / shotgun shells inside the guard, a little bit like Ido's hammer in Gunmm / Battle Angel Alita ) :
