Vagabond Statue

I figured you guys might be interested.

Looks awesome to me. I wish I knew how big it was.

Wow! Looks awesome as you say, would be nice to know the scale - but I would like one whatever the size.

Edit : Just found one on Ebay for pre-order and it states the size is 26cm

There had been some in the past, I think.

But this one is a nice looking figure. I wouldn't buy it, but I can appreciate the atmosphere of it. Why SquareEnix is producing it is beyond me, though...

No reason their production arm can't make stuff for other people.

DC Direct, DC comics owned figure company, makes Warcraft toys. Go figure

I suppose that makes a little sense...

The horrible concept of this happening was on my mind for a moment:

The "Blue" Phophecy is upon us, Gentlemen. Will you cower from it, or hear the call from the higher power?

Egads! :isidro:

Nice work though, it looks more like Musashi than the statue. =)

Really, this is a pretty crappy statue given the awesome scenes from the series this could have been done in. This is just a generic "smelling my armpits and you cant see" Mushi.

Looks good. Better than the previous Musashi statue. Though this one looks a little, I dunno, clumpy?

Fewture has a line of Vagabond action figures, and they don't look so bad.

Actually, this one looks pretty awesome!

Whoa, this one too!

Damn now these are what I call good looking action figures, they have pretty accurate facial feature's which is something I like to look for in an action figure. I will definitely be getting these if I can find them so if anyone here in the Inn passes one of these by somewhere tell me please. :guts:

Here is another Vagabond statue of Sasaki Kojiro that they are just releasing now. It looks better than the first one they made of Kojiro in my opinion.

For the most part they seem expensive on eBay:

Musashi for 59.95:

Baiken for 34.98:

From the Baiken seller, Baiken and Musashi for $79.00:

And compared to those, In'ei for an absolute bargain at $9.95:

Found Inshun and Baiken here as well, for more reasonable prices:

Musashi and Baiken are also on amazon, same pricing as ebay though:

You can also type バガボンド on Yahoo! Japan Auctions to find some, but they're pretty expensive, too.

This Musashi I found is younger than the one fighting Baiken from that guy on eBay, and only has a wooden sword:

Man, these boxes look very nice:

If you guys find more of these, please post them. If there's In'ei, there's probably more. :serpico:

Yeah, I've found five so far and previously posted about them in the open merchandise thread:

Yeah, there's also some action figures that are pretty cool. I believe it's Takezo, In'ei, Inshun, Musashi, and Baiken, at least those are the five I know of.

Though it they're actually numbered #1. Takezo, #2. Inshun, #3. In'ei, #4. Musashi, #5. Baiken.
No Takuan or Sekishusai? What a ripoff. :carcus:

Oh, sorry I didn't search before.

Yeah, seems like they only released these five. It's very weird that they would make an In'ei action figure and not one of Seijuro, Denshichiro and, as you said, Takuan. I'd also be surprised by a Sekishusai. Not that they shouldn't release the old men, but come on! If I wanna play with my action figures, I want them to fight to the death! :guts:

No problemo, reminds me that I need to officially update the thread with them.

The only way I can make sense of it is that they might have been released starting with the Hozoin arc. That would explain why they made an old Takezo style Musashi, Inshun and In'ei for starters, then another Musashi as we've come to know him, and finally Baiken. Still, strange that more Yagyu or general figures like Otsu, Matahatchi, and Takuan weren't released between In'ei and Baiken though. Anyway, that's just a guess, they could have all come out at the same time for all I know.

Well, if they'd released a version with hair, it might've been more appropriate in that regard. Better yet, removable hair for pre and post retirement! :ganishka:

I added all the figures and statues to the Merchandise section, which I'm planning to overhaul a bit next week.

BTW, where is that Takuan bust from, Eluvei, is it official?

I'm pretty sure it's unofficial, I found it searching for more of those action figures. The guy who made it has a blog showing the creative process of his random anime statues: http://blog.goo.ne.jp/gyopi0919/

The Takuan bust was made by Megatech - if you go to Dereks site (www.berserkstatues.com) and go the the links page, the website is listed there - just go to the gallery - there is a (not so good) Musashi figure too.
