No! ^^;The map you use to teleport around in the airship? ???
Everything in the game. The world you travel in. It's a fusion of the "traditional" "towns"/"dungeons" and the world map of the previous game. Now, they're seemlessly connected and maintan the same level of detail. That's what they wanted to accomplish in this game.
But that's what they _didn't want_ to do! ^__^;;I meant they should have made a map like in the previous parts, you misunderstood me.
The point was to _not_ "cheat" by changing the scale or the level of details.
The fact that the game was based on a pilgrimage, i.e. that the characters were following a path helped the staff because it justified the fact that only a part of the world was visited. It allowed them to keep the same scale and the same level of detail throughout the whole game. They only had to sacrifice the whole "flying around in an airship" thing as it still not technically possible to create an entire world that detailed. And what's the point in flying over an "empty" world, after all?
