Berserk PS2 Model/Scene Rip
« on: August 20, 2009, 03:44:05 PM »
Well, I was just fooling around with ripping PS2 models that I could temporarily use for my game. Apparently its not supposed to be possible to rip them from an emulator, but through some complicated means I got pretty far with it. At least beyond the limit of a completely flat mesh which is the most I've seen from anyone else. It ended up looking like an awesome pop-up book or something. I don't think its useable though, because fixing the remaining problems is at least as much work if not more than modeling from scratch. I thought you guys might find it interesting though.

Wow, that's actually pretty fascinating. Any chance of getting individual character models? It'd be great to have a 3d reference for drawing at odd angles.

Its might be possible but I'm not sure how easy. The model of Guts that I managed to get has problems with the z-axis data still. He isn't totally flat but its arranged kinda like a staircase so from the side the model is completely off. I haven't played the whole game through but a better rip is probably possible if there was a close up of Guts with very little else on screen.

Oh, nice! It may be possible to rip those, though I can't be certain till I try. I assume thats in the bonus or something? I hadn't checked it out yet.
