Good luck with the move, Walter. Are you moving into an apartment or a house/ condo set-up?
Walter said:In the process of moving (not far, but a bigger place). That in combination with the chaos in Maryland as a result of the storm+power outages+heat wave made things just completely insane. Like I told a cop I happened to encounter, this was a small taste of the end of the world, and he nodded and laughed.
Won't have dedicated Internet at the new place for a few days so I won't be around here much. But hey, no Berserk this Friday anyway. Keep the lights running, guys!

Tell me about it! This was my first official county fair, but I used to go to the Santa Cruz boardwalk all the time as a kid, which was very similar. I think part of the magic was having no concept of money at the time. You wouldn't realize it just by looking, but these county fairs are kinda expensive.Delta Phi Zeta said:Looks like a ton of fun! The fairs around these parts have really gone down hill since I was young (or maybe I just held things in more wonder as a child). Seeing those pictures makes me miss the good ole days

I've actually got a big problem with heights. To be honest, I tried the spinning swing ride mostly because Gobs wanted to do it. I can tell you that it was really uncomfortable at first, but after the first few minutes (when I realized that I wasn't going to go hurtling into a hot dog stand) it was kinda relaxing. Doesn't mean you'll catch me getting in line for the ferris wheel, though!IncantatioN said:Cool pictures Gobs n Grail (saw them yesterday), that one difficult to take picture - on the ride - looked pretty cool. Any of you scared of heights? I've always wanted to check that sort of ride out but I'm scared it would last tooo long resulting in dizziness (and I'm scared of heights to top it).

Trains can be a real pain (I used them to commute for years), but the one benefit is that you can read and not worry about traffic when you're on one.IncantatioN said:I went up to Syracuse to hang out with two pals and relax. Only downer is the 6 hour train ride each way, I think I could travel quicker by car/ motorcycle.
