Broken Guts statue

I was unsure of where to post this but seeing how it was regarding Berserk merchandise I figured this was the best place.

I just received my Guts Lost Children statue (the newest repaint version), and was horrified to find the cape broken clean off in the box! I already contacted them about this and sent pictures of the damage but I really wanted this statue. I'm assuming they can't replace it since it is now sold out.

My question is: Are they possible to fix?

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, I tried searching and couldn't find anything.

That sucks..

If you ordered it from Art of War you're probably okay though. I'm relatively certain they keep extras in case of situations like this. Fuck knows they should for the amount of money we all spend on their statues.

Anyway, I'm sure someone more knowledgeable around here will soon clarify for ya. Good luck!

Hey Mire_Elf, so sorry to hear about what happened. Any word from AOW? They've fixed / sent replacement parts before, but I don't know what they will do with an entire cape. But you know, if it's a clean break, it's totally fixable. Especially, the cape is all black, it might not even be noticeable. Just make sure, when you apply glue, apply a VERY VERY thin amount, and apply to the side that no one can see in case some glue seeps out. If you put too much on, there will be a small separation between the two pieces and you'll see the crack/line.

Can you post the pictures here so we can see?

AoW did get back to me, and they are going to replace the statue I just have to wait a few more weeks for the artists to paint up another one. After further looking at the way it broke and other little scuffs and chips missing my husband and I both agree that it looked as though forcing it into the package or improperly placing it in and forcing the top half of its case is what caused it to break.

I sent AoW very detailed photos of all of the packaging and the damage. I explained how it looked like it may have broken. I'd also like to note it looked like it had been taped once all the way around sealing it and then removed and taped again in sections. I carefully opened it using a knife to cut the tape because I didn't want to damage any of the packaging.

They were great about it, and are going to try and determine what could have caused it to break. I could glue it together but I think small pieces are missing from the break, which is odd because they are not anywhere in the box.

Good for them. I wonder if customs opened it. Typically AoW packs things VERY well. (Almost to well. Huge boxes cost a ton in shipping)
