Thanks for making the thread. I'm very curious about Shadow of the DAMNED, though the footage hasn't yet to impress me. The new Yakuza spin-off is a little too opportunistic for my taste (I like zombies but putting them everywhere is getting old). And I'm not a fan of the DmC series, but I wonder if redesign Dante was such a good idea.

The Team ICO HD makeovers look alright, though their PS2 origin shows (see the trailer here). I'm not very interested in them honestly. That being said, Sony's doing some nice stuff for them, with a guaranteed 30 fps at all times, both games on a single disc, and the European ending of ICO (the real one! :void:) brought over to the US and Japan. Apparently Ueda even said he would look into ICO's US box art. :ganishka: No new colossi planned for SotC.

The Last Guardian has been given a "target" release estimate (i.e. likely to be pushed back): holiday 2011. A new trailer for it is here.

Sony also announced the spiritual successor to Demon's Soul, called "Project Dark" for now. No significant PSP news (a Monster Hunter special edition with a custom analog stick).

On the Xbox side of things, a new Steel Battalion game has been announced, titled "Heavy Armor" (see the trailer here). For Kinect. Not developed by Nude Maker. In short: a travesty.

A kinect project from Grasshopper Manufacture, "produced by Suda51", was announced as well. It's called Codename D, will be sold on the Xbox Live and is slated for a 2011 release (trailer here).

Like you said though, what I'm most looking forward to is 3DS news. Unfortunately Nintendo plans on making the big announcement on September 29 and not at the TGS, a conference they never attend.

Awesome! I really enjoyed the first Steel Battalion, but there was this pesky controller bringing realism into my mech simulator experience. Now that I can contort my body around my living room like an idiot in front of a camera that won't be a problem any longer! I'm glad these new developers really pinned down what made the series unique and interesting and decided to push that even further.

Something I am genuinely interested in though, perhaps if only for nostalgia's sake... Phantasy Star Online 2. Only a title screen so far, but hoo boy did I get a kick of hearing some of the old PSO music again.

And Last Guardian looks great. Damn it, am I going to have to buy a PS3... at least I'll get to play MGS4, finally.

Yeah, I'm definitely getting a PS3 for that game, and to play catchup with all the other titles I've missed this console generation. But, these HD reissues of Ico and SotC aren't really blowing me away. I feel they should have done a little more to clean up the graphics. At least a new generation of fans gets to check them out, and that's a good thing.

It's hard for me to get excited about this year's TGS besides the looming 3DS announcement/s It feels like most of the next year's big games have already been announced.

Yeah... And like I was telling Eluvei earlier, I'm also not very excited about The Last Guardian. I can't say why exactly, but so far I'm just not amazed.

They ruined Devil May Cry :puck: Fuckin no talent hacks at Ninja Theory :mozgus: Your lol is very appropriate, Eluvei.

Asura's Wrath looks insane though :guts:

And thank god for a new, VIOLENT, Ninja Gaiden game (damn you Sigma 2).

Overlook the inferior dub and enjoy the show.

My god this looks amazing.

And personally I'm really excited about new Ninja Gaiden and Devil May Cry games. I've enjoyed them all, some more than others, but the newer ones (DMC 4 and NG 2) weren't bad. I was never really "let down" at any point. Then again I was never a hardcore fan of either series but hey, as a casual gamer I find them fun series and challenging games to beat given the difficulty.

Then by all means I'm not going to watch it. The game comes out soon so I don't need spoilers now.

Sounded to me like some of those dubs were stand-ins for the voice actors we heard in the debut trailer -- particularly the burly guy.

The ending to that trailer gives me goosebumps every time :schnoz:
