It's not that hard to follow guys. The movie hasn't been in the top 15 box office numbers since the second week (Feb 11-12), so the finances haven't been tracked since then.

-   -   Carnage (2011)   Sony   $23,218   -16.8%   1   -   $23,218   $91,795   2
-   -   Restless (2011)   Sony   $4,778   -33.2%   8   -2   $597   $810,872   10

Berserk has more than that.

Are you saying that Berserk made less than 306, 4,778 or even 23,218$ this time?

Do you see ranking numbers on those movies? Nope. Those are special cases because they're re-releases, so they're tracked differently from the Top 15.

Ahh, so that's how it is! Thanks Walter. I forgot it was just totals for the weekends, and then those re-releases were throwing me off--I wasn't too familiar with how box office mojo worked.

We know that, and it's not current. That's the same amount as it had made as of the second week in the box office, which is when it fell off the map. It's been at the box office for four weeks.

Personally, those might have me more excited than the movie itself.  :carcus:

That's good to know that we have a firm release date for film 1's DVD release. I think I'll wait for the 1st 2 films to be released on DVD 1st then I can enjoy them while waiting for the 3rd film to hit theaters.

Clara was away for 5 days, and came back today to announce that BD/DVD release date. The full Japanese press release is here: http://www.berserkfilm.com/news/?p=620

It mentions that the first printing of the Blu-Ray release will have a jacket with art by Kentarou Miura. Kinda neat. Wonder what it'll be of?

She also posted to remind us that the first movie has been out for a month now, and advance tickets for the second movie will go on sale this weekend. Still no word on a second movie trailer launch or any international dates.

The first printing? So pretty much the first people to buy it get a jacket?

Let me put it another way for you: "Limited Edition."

At 6090 yen ($74 US) that initially sounds quite pricey, but I'm guessing that's being backed up by the artwork, the 80 minutes of bonus footage and the extra CD by Sagisu, so it should be quite a nice limited Edition. I'm looking forward to the artwork moreso than anything else included in the package.

Yep, they have a listing already http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/s/detailview.html?KEY=VPXV-71219 and according to that the Blu Ray is region free, which is good news for those of us living in the UK. As a result, mine has been ordered, coming to £59GBP including shipping.

Damn, I must make some money soon! Also can't even play the Bluray, but I really want that Jacket! As for the other stuff that can be uploaded in the internet, I don't worry much, but it would still be pretty cool to have as a Berserk and anime fan in general.

p.s Is the shipping free? And do you get the bonus if you buy just the DVD?

If you can't play the Blu Ray version, they're likely to list the DVD version soon and it's easy enough to multi region most players if you haven't already. It's always worth supporting the industry by buying items instead of downloading them, even more so if you're a fan. Besides, it's rewarding having it in your collection, you would own the artwork and have it sitting proudly on your shelf awaiting the next two films.
