I don't think that's out of the question, really. They delivered movie 1 domestically within 9 months of its Japanese theatrical release.

In Japan, Otakon. In US, I'd say Comiccon.

Hmm, well looks like I'm mistaken then. I thought Otakon was first based out of Japan, and then became an American thing. But apparently not.

A big convention in Japan is Comiket, according to Wikipedia.

PS: I'm really the worst person to have fielded the question. I've only been to one convention ever...

They sure are taking their time.

I guess they didn't want it to be too close to the "theatrical release" in May. Cuz ya know... that would really affect sales and stuff. Right?

At this rate we won't get the third movie for another year.
