I'm making a thread about this studio because they're releasing two awesome games that I think really deserved to be talked about. The studio is notable for having released Contra 4 and Shantae: Risky's Revenge in the past, 2 excellent side-scrolling games.
The first one of their new titles is BloodRayne: Betrayal on XBLA and PSN. The second is Aliens: Infestation on NDS.
Betrayal is a fresh start for the BloodRayne franchise and seems heavily influenced by the Castlevania series (SotN and similar exploration-based titles, themselves influenced by the Metroid series), but with a more macabre style that I find a bit reminiscent of Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen. Here's its first trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EV-hoQ_EeGE.
Aliens: Infestation is based on the famous movie series and is an "action-heavy side-scrolling exploration game", so essentially the same genre BloodRayne: Betrayal is, although maybe more action-oriented. You'll be able to play with 19 different marines, each with unique dialogue options and explore environments from the movies.

I am very excited by both of these projects, and extremely glad that there are still some developers in this day and age with the talent and motivation to make great side-scrolling titles. Long live the genre!
