Back on the horse, quite literally ... ^^
In the immortal words of Eddie Izzard; Do you have a flag?
Well, now I do.
Lining fabric for the flag + the basic shape for the flag made from sheet mesh.
The cloth was dampened with diluted white glue in order to fix the shape and keep the fabric from tearing.
The parts for the flag were cut with a scalpel.
Yes, it Is the Swedish flag.
And no, it isn't.
Basically, I found the design in the Berserk artbook in one of the paintings depicting the battle which this model kit is from.
A lucky coincidence as it ties in well with my heritage at the same time as it is correct to the manga... ;)
This. Took. Forever.
I sprayed the flag multiple times with Krylon Fixative.
Dry brushed and mounted to the pole.
Left to do is some weathering with pastels + the spear tip.

Left to do is gluing the base to the wood and the usual touch ups (such as trimming down the grass...). The kit will be displayed at Modellexpo 08 Open March 17-18th before being shipped to the commissioner.
