Thank you very much. I really enjoy this!!! I completely forgot about it.

A guy named Destiny from starcraft 2 that streams plays this and similar types of music on his stream and I've been really enjoying it. Real nice background music.

I've come to not really enjoy music in general the past few years, but every now and then it's nice to put on some groovy tunes/piano etc. I can't stand any song that has lyrics in it either or if there are any I zone it out and think of it as another instrument or part of the rhythm.

This got a similar style to bbng, i think: http://youtu.be/ih1GM8Qf6t8

Or, not as groovy, but I still enjoy these bands thanks to Destiny/last.fm as well:

Been listening to a lot of Chuck Ragan lately. For those not familiar, he was the singer of Hot Water Music but since 2007 has branched off into a solo career that's straight-up Rock/Folk with his trademark gritty voice. This, without falling into the trap of sounding like some cheese-rock band like Creed or Nickelback. Really refreshing actually! Give it a go.

Fear Factory are really cool. My favorite from em is Soul Of A New Machine because it was clearly influential to a lot of bands and a bit ahead of it's time. So it's Soul > Demanufacture-Obsolete-Mechanize > the rest. I didn't expect Mechanize to be that good.

I've been hitting up Abominable Putridity's new album a lot since it leaked back in Jan, pre-ordered it. It's a mindless over-the-top-super-fun-slamfest Brutal DM album. The cover-art is cheesy haha.

Here a couple of orchestral pieces I'm sure most of you are familiar with: the opening of Chrono Trigger and a Twilight Princess Symphonic Movement from the 25th Anniversary Soundtrack that comes with Skyward Sword. In addition to the whole tracks, I particularly want to highlight these similar sections just because I'm always interested in such similarities and the purpose of musical colors and structures in general:

Yeah, Soul of A New Machine (knowing your taste for Death Metal, I'm not surprised :slan:) is pretty good too. For me it would be... Demanufacture> Obsolete> Soul of A New Machine> Mechanize> Archetype> Digimortal.

Been spinning the new Spawn Of Possession a lot ... and the production is clear perfect. Monster BASS. I loved his work on the last Deeds album, too bad he wasn't commissioned for the upcoming one, anyway ... first track off Incurso is below -

That's pretty solid! I've always been a sucker for that intro. Good find.

I can't seem to get enough of it. I found it on the NeoGAF forum: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=466937

I've been listening to Meshuggah's Koloss non-stop since it came out yesterday. Give it to them to come out with something different than whatever they've done in the past. This one is a lot more drone~y with less time signature changes (wish there were more). The sound is massive, can't wait to hear it on Vinyl and CD.

Like every other album of theirs, this one's a keeper. Top 5 of 2012 definitely, album of the year (?) maybe, then again Spawn Of Possession's Incurso is super impressive.
