Had any bad experiences with girls/ guys?
« on: April 06, 2013, 02:33:09 AM »
... that you dated or whatevers? List em here :femto:

I laugh at some of the shit I've gone through because I can't be rude or tell anyone to f-off.

>was asked by a girl's Dad to give info on my time of birth, date, city, etc. to check if my natal chart matches with his daughters (astrological Hindu custom, not uncommon to check but I'm not even Hindu)
>meanwhile his daughter and I hit it off
>Skype a few times, talk a lot
>her Dad calls my parents to tell them it wouldn't work out because our natal charts (when put together) don't match, goes on to say that I would be unlucky for her in the future, cheat on her to the extent that it would happen after we have kids and what not (specific details that too, I was impressed at the piece of shit story I was listening to, regret not asking him how I'd die or at what age I would).
>girl defends Dad but a few hours later she said that her parents didn't believe in that sort of stuff
>end

>girl's mother gets my info and pictures through matchmaker back home and connects with me, giving me her daughter's info
>I get a picture and a resume, I ask if I can talk-text-get to know her
>we start texting, she's always busy or on-the-go
>mother emails me telling me to meet her daughter
>was busy but bus'd it to Boston and met her
>pretty cool sense of humor, smart, fun few hours
>ask her if I can call her, she says yes
>called her to no avail, no text replies from her
>receive an email from her mother who says "thanks for meeting my daughter. Since she was a child, she has always wanted to marry someone taller than her, significantly taller, what do you think about that?"
>first thing that pops in my head - wtfrakk, what a stupid email - then, I try to recall ... she was about the same height as I was or just a bit shorter
>politely tell the mother that it's her daughter's call/ choice and I stopped growing tall a few years ago
>daughter calls 2 weeks later, tells me she's shallow and it wouldn't work out
>end

I have a few more but won't kill the thread, but here's a bit off topic~ish

>receive an email from a parent asking for my info
>parent gets back saying the daughter thought I was cute and asked if when we got married I would be able to take her anywhere abroad, once a year for vacation
>I don't lie and tell her I can try but couldn't commit to a request such as that (was trying to be polite instead of telling her to f-off)
>parent never responded
>end

Why are you talking to her mom? Also, why are you getting a resume?

Oh haha yeah, let me explain that a bit more. It's commonplace for match-makers to have a full list of details of a person and it's almost like a resume, name/ place of birth/ time of birth in some cases if they believe in astrology/ ... uuhmmm ... education/ what they're currently doing aka working/ studying/ etc. etc. Now usually match-makers get in touch with the parents who then take it forward. I didn't want to stress mine out so I told em to get in touch with me directly. So this is just one of those "hey lets get you hitched" sort of things that I can't fault my parents for trying cos I can imagine why they'd be nervous. I work long hours and don't meet a lot of people socially, well actually, I have been in the past 2/3 years but yeah.

No bad experiences guys/ girls?

>3 years ago, a girl hit me up saying she got my info from my parents through a match-maker
>ok, lets talk ... I'm open to talking to anyone actually in that sort of situation
>few months pass and we're talking a lot, her folks apparently like me a lot and tell mine that she does too
>I'm like ok, I don't know what she saw in me but fine, I guess I did something right?
>all this time I suggested we hang out or meet up or hang out, screw the distance. She was studying in Virginia and I'd just hop on a plane once a month or something or drive up/ down wherever it is geographically, it sounded close but I have a bad sense of direction so anything that isn't California is close for me
>she'd tell me she had an exam or was prepping for her thesis etc. and I'd be like ok no sweat, after you're done then.
>was in Virginia for work and hit her up, she said she couldn't make it
>3 months later she came to NYC for a weekend, we spent a day hanging out
>she goes back and we continue to talk a lot more
>18 months have passed since I've known her and I tell her I think she's cool and I guess I like her (durrr)
>she writes me an email, doesn't call, to tell me she tried to like me for a year but couldn't tell me and now she felt guilty for stringing me on
>emailed her back saying she didn't have to try so hard and to be straightforward with the next guy she met, if anything lets be friends
>haven't heard from her since
>end

Not had the best luck with anything long-distance hahaha.

I dunno man, the whole talking to the parents thing weirds me out lol. I know I wouldn't want my parents to be that involved.  :magni:

Well, it's more introductory only. In the past year, I've heard from girls themselves with no parents involved. Thing is, if they're countries apart, it's I guess fair for the elders of the family to get in touch. It's more of a respect thing and doesn't bother me.

Of course, if only it were that easy. I welcome this 'process' only because I have little time or resources for the obvious ^_^. So it's just me with bad luck huh : /

I wouldn't really bother with girls that are in other countries. I mean there are some exceptions I guess, but generally I would try to meet girls that are local. I mean you said it yourself, long distance relationships suck. Even more so if you haven't even met each other yet.

Here's a general overview of the crazy/bitchy things exes have done:

First - The Collector - Me: 16, her: 15
Was genuinely infatuated with me. Collected my hair as well as loose threads that had fallen from my clothes and put them in a safe so no one else could have my remnants. She even kept the condom we used when we lost our virginity to each other.

Second The Ruiner - Me: 18, her: 16
Didn't really care about me. Went behind my back and did drugs and stuff. Only lasted five months, but they were five months of hell. I had just moved, so I didn't have any friends except for her. Made it that much worse.

Third - The Future Psycho Bitch from Mars - Me: 18/19, her: 17/18
Nothing really wrong with her (yet). I was just in a transitional period and thought I was in love. I wasn't. Broke up with her and she goes straight the a mental health hospital because she tried to kill herself. Lears later, I broke the cardinal rule of sticking my dick back into crazy. Immediately, she showed signs of mental unwellness. I set my warp drive to as fast as it could go, and got the fuck out of dodge. A year later, she found me and said she was pregnant. I told her it wasn't mine because you can't, technically, be pregnant for a year. She never said anything after that.

Fourth - The Innocent Bimbo - Me: 20, her: 18
Very sweet girl. But, not all there. She would reenact her favorite movies when it came to everyday situations while we were together. One being after we had seen Casino Royale. It was about a week after we had seen the movie, and I come home to her fully clothed and in the shower, crying, just like Vespa. My mind was full of fuck. She also wasn't the brightest crayon in the box. A few funny examples would be like when she and I were watching nick toons (nostalgia, ya know?) and these two sock puppets came on the screen. She looked at me and had a "matter of fact" face, and said, "You know, all those are are people's hand inside them moving around." I was like, "Yeah, babe. That's great." Her being none the wiser, after that.

I think the pinnacle of her "isms" is a tie between two key moments, both involving 9/11. Yes, 9/11. We were watching Flight 97, and I said, "Hey, I bet I can predict the end of this movie." She said, "I bet they get the plane back and land it." And, no, she wasn't joking. But wait! Here's the second one: We were watching World Trade Center (the Oliver Stone one), and one of the characters said, "I think the Pentagon got hit, too!" She leans over and says to me, "Typical Hollywood. Sensationalizing the attack and saying it was elsewhere, too. That's not even true." The people behind us in the theater overheard her, and I could hear the boyfriend saying, "Uh, what?". So, after the movie, I had to give her a little bit of a history lesson.

Fifth - The Cougar - Me: 22, her: 42
The older they get, the crazier they get. She told me she loved me after the first date. I went awol after that.

Sixth - The Clinger - Me: 24, her: 25
Kind of the same as the cougar, honestly. Told me she loved me after the first date. Never went back. The shitty part is that we worked together, and our jobs required intercourse interaction between us. Made it awkward knowing I had banged her and then asked for some documents a few days later.

Seventh - The Beast from the Depths of Hell - Me: 24; her 22
The mother of all bitches. Never in my life have I had to deal with such a wishy-washy cunt such as this. We lasted a little over a year, but I can tell you there was more rebellion between us than there is in Syria right now. The fights we had were beyond epic. No physical abuse, mind you. Just every day hate geared towards each other. "Slow Dancing in a Burning Room" by John Mayer is a good summed up version of our relationship, honestly.

Eighth - My Queen - Me: 26; her 22
No complaints here. She's the mother of my two children, and is the most perfect mate for me ever. Never have I had such a natural bond with someone (who has a vagina and I like to have sex with)!

So, yeah, I've had a few. I have more stories if anyone is interested.

I live for this kind of thread, though I don't think I can contribute anything better than what's been listed already haha. I'll return to this after I get the time to type it all up though!
"If I could strike one blow to spite their force, though I might bear one hundred more, I would wear the welts like rubies, and the shackles for a crown. And if I had one hundred hearts I would throw them all before their bullets before I'd sell a single one to wield their power. So lest we fall out of love with life, let us give all we have to give - for only a fool would cling to this world."

Nah, I been all right really.  Any incompatibilities have been resolved on decent terms as far as I know.  Although I didn't make things easy for the first cute guy I met in college.  We never got very serious in the first place, and then he told me he had a girl and would be breaking it off when she moved to town.  I was whiny about it.  On the drama scale though it rated about a 1.  He was cute as hell, I was just disappointed about not getting to pat him anymore.

I'm generally an aloof type though so if I'm on anybody's bad list it'll be for 'what the hell?' things rather than 'from hell!!' things.   :troll:
