Your Man Cave

Or woman cave. What do you game on? What do you watch on? Do you have a dedicated area in your home for entertainment? POST IT! SHARE IT! If you don't, share your dreams of that vision. :guts:

Here is my basement. 120", espson projector, sony playstation 1-4. Last picture is the pc I built last year. intel i7 3.4 ghz, 16 gb ram, asus mb, and gtx 570 (which I'm borrowing) The computer never got the gaming I thought I would muster out of it, glad I never forked over for a nice gpu. Mostly used for video editing. Modded a few games, but generally enjoy the weaker consoles. :) Future plans include 4k projector and a couple grand worth of surround sound. That will be a few years from now.

Currently, I live in a 10002 foot apartment. My cave is literally a corner of our second bedroom where I do all my work. The PS4 is hooked up to the main TV in the living room where it gets split between my fiance using it for netflix, amazon, and the like, and the rare chances I get to play it when he isn't around.

Err...here it is...

Nice! Do you play keyboard/piano? I use to, like way long ago, but I always enjoy trying to play things by ear.

I do a little bit. Nothing more than some basic functional stuff. My technique has decreased significantly over the years since I don't focus on playing anymore. I mostly use the keyboard in the picture as a reference tool while I'm composing. It's a terrible quality thing, so it's a pain to do much more on it than figure out melodies or harmonic progressions.

I hear yuh, man. I played in elementary, but fell off. I enjoyed learning things I enjoyed. I memorized Lost Painting off of Castlevania symphony of the night on the piano by listening. I picked up guitar recently (I suck) :farnese: but find myself doing the same.

Almost made a new new thread, but found it! Rise from your grave!

Moved recently and have been quite busy getting this basement just right. Started with building a shelf in the wall, then the media shelf, wiring for 7.2 surround, this starlight panel, and finally the riser.

Holy shit that Silent Hill poster! I used to have one just like it until it got obliterated by an old roommate (a couple moves tattered it slightly as well sigh).

As a huge Silent Hill nerd and veteran of the series, very cool!

Decided to snatch up this Arcade from back in my day (mainly sega at that). Came with new decals I need to work on yet. In a couple days I plan pick up a joust cabinet that no longer works and make some off the wall and completely unnecessary mame machine.

Also received a few figma figures in the mail.

Rest In Peace, Kentaro Miura. We will miss you.
My man cave is located in our apartment spare room. Not very impressive, but it's a nice room to go to in order to relax :badbone: My J-PS2 is hooked up now, with my other current consoles out of view. It has a built in shelving unit inside the walls, perfect for DVD storage and for my novels/mangas.

Almost done with this project. Took a joust cab and gutted it. Found a cheap dell monitor to replace the old one, which had a nice game of black jack burned in. Had an older rca receiver and Klipsch bookshelf speaker to throw inside. Wired a computer fan into a old phone cord on top. The big fun of the entire thing is the modded xbox with 18k games from Pong to Halo 2 or so. Every system I care or don't care about is easily navigated within and the controller arrived today. Works as expected. Little wood work to get it mounted securely and the xbox needs mounted inside so I can make a push button on the exterior and never open that coin door. Now I need to make some custom decals with some of my favorite art from all of my favorite games.
