Introduction
« on: January 13, 2015, 05:56:37 AM »
Hi guys  :schnoz::farnese: (I love these emotes  :mozgus: mozgus looks great :D :femto: :puck: :puck: :ubik:)
I've started new topic to introduce myself, because im new on the forum (I haven't found collective thread for it, so there is my own one  :farnese: :schnoz: if there is already another one, please merge threads if you wish :slan: :griffnotevil:)

I'm 25 y old Berserk fan from Poland. Poland received in last year right to distribute Berserk manga in my native language. So far we have 2 Berserk volumes in Polish, planned are 6 volumes per year.

But I have whole manga in Japanese already. And Polish fan made scanlation was done (all 37 volumes) way before licensed release. Anyway, I'm still going to buy Polish version, to support it.

Funny thing is, they wanted to change "Berserk" name to "Butcher/Slaughter" :ganishka: but agency of Master Miura disallowed this idea :D.

They also released two Miuras One-Shots King of Wolves and Japan. I'm hoping for most recent Miura work though, Gigantomakhia! (because I love mythology :zodd:) And of course of keep going Berserk series :) Because we don't have much of seinen audience in Poland :\ and they might have to stop releasing it, because it may be not that profitable, as they thought :void:, hope not! Also you know, some people dislike how Berserk look on first volumes. Not me! :SK:

Mainly reason why im posting there, is because I haven't found any Berserk theme forum in Polish yet, so let's you know my English is poor and in very basis (if you haven't seen yet :D). But I'll try my best to let's you understand me. I'm up to date with new Berserk episodes, and I hope to stay there for a while. Really like the atmosphere, reminds me of our old Claymore Polish forum.

Other than Berserk, manga and anime,
I like literature, mostly fantasy or sci fi/horror such as: Lovecraft, Barker, Tolkien, Moorcock, Howard-Conan, Pratchett, Aldiss, Forgotten Realms series.
I wish there were a Guin Saga fantasy books in Polish (because of Miura taste).  I've read about 5 volumes of manga (Polish fan made scanlation, waiting for last one) enjoyed it (not that much as Berserk). However it's pretty sure, that books must be way better, than this short manga.

I like music, I've recently listening to Berserk soundtracks a lot, but originally I was raised on hardcore, Metal :beast: :femto: music. In my own collection I own around 100 of Metal cds :farnese:

I like as well action figures, mostly I have only He-Man figures, that are fantasy alike (based on Conan), I've started to collect series, because these were once very cheap (15usd few years ago), high quiality and well articulated.

But I want in future to get some Berserk cheaper ones, maybe atleast these mini figures. Or some newly released, that aren't overpriced by resellers.

Sometimes I like to play games, well, I've played a lot of them in past, but now i'm playing rather occasionally.
For some time now, im in progress on super robot wars for psp. Ive even started to watching old school mecha anime, Votoms, because of the main character.
Mecha are my favourite genere in anime, right after fantasy, but unfortunately, there isn't a lot of strict fantasy anime, anymore. So Berserk is our only hope  :guts: well, Berserk have to do something with mechas, just look on Schierke sitting on Guts back, or maybe I should said "inside him" :schierke: :beast::ganishka:

Only things I hate are sailor moon, shojo, and avril lavinge, of my girlfriend :rakshas: (im trying convince her to read Berserk :rakshas:)

Welcome aboard man.

Votoms is a pretty good series, how are you liking it so far? I still own some old (Leo) He-Man figures with Castle Greyskull. I like the first 2 or 3 Venom records, haven't seriously heard any of their stuff post 1990 to be honest.

Trying to picture volume covers with a title as bad as 'Butcher' ... naah :troll:
At the end of time, a moment will come when just one man remains. Then the moment will pass. Man will be gone. There will be nothing to show that we were ever here... but stardust.

Hi there! I recently joined the forum also. I have been enjoying the podcasts in particular. So much fun to listen to! :ubik: I have not finished reading the series. I'm currently on volume 17. I first got into Berserk through the older version of the anime. The manga is so much better of course. Anyway, I'm happy to find a forum like this to share the interest. :guts:

I'm hesitant to comment on a lot of things because I haven't finished reading the series. Once I'm caught up I think I'll feel more comfortable participating.  :???:
Can someone please tell me how to insert a picture? I see the button for "insert image", but I couldn't figure out how to get it to work. I tried copying and pasting the image where the text indicated, but nothing happened. It's probably really obvious or something. LOL  :schierke:

No problem. You'll need a URL where the image is stored. You'll paste that URL between the image tags like this:
