Obviously someone who didnt read Berserk, otherwise they wouldnt be making such a claim.

That translation isn't very accurate, so take it with a grain of salt. The original question says the trailer was "risqué" and then the interviewer says he feels that suggestive, grotesque and dark elements can't be avoided with Berserk. It's really a protracted way of asking the director about any potential censorship issues, which is why the following question (that PlayAsia didn't translate for some reason) asks what the rating of the game will be (it's CERO D which is Mature in the US).

From the publisher that brought you Dead or Alive: XTreme Beach Volleyball 3, comes the latest erotic thriller! Berserk!

:ganishka: I don't know why but that comment reminded me of that bizarre Kill La Kill fanart someone made of Guts and Griffith, quite a humorous recollection.

Saw this on Twitter, for those interested this is a much better translation than the PlayAsia one: http://s13.zetaboards.com/koeiwarriors/single/?p=10318994&t=7552040

The likes of Schierke right. In the original work there's already a setting prepared for elementals like Fire, Water, Wind etc, so I think we've made a Warriors filled with fantasy factors without impossibility, so please look forward to the characters other than Guts.

Schierke mage confirmed playable? :D I hope they put her flood spell, and I wouldnt be surprised if they took some spells from other characters and gave it to her to enhance her arsenal ( i hope not but you never know )

Im not sure how I would feel if she could summon a kundalini or soemthing like that.

also, I hope Locus, Irvine and Grunbeld become playable too other than Zodd.

Nice. Still questions remain. Looking forward to learning how extensive it'll be in terms of the story arcs.

Oh nice!  :ubik: I'm hyped :)

As far as I understand from the interview it will be story-line based but I know nothing about these game companies. Do we know exactly the type of the game? [hack n slash (like God of War)?]

side-note: Imagine in the eyes of someone that knows nothing about Berserk and sees the trailer. He's gonna think "What type of Hentai tentacle porn game are they making?" HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
A silly 5 brother story: I packed my things in my pock and went to pick flowers when puck pecked my head like a bird.

Looks like we have post-incarnation Griffith, the Berserker armor, and trolls. And I assume the 9/21 date is for JP release? :beast:

A 2016 JP release date eh? Judging from their newest warriors game (Hyrule Warriors) we may get a EU/NA version a month later. But seeing as Hyrule Warriors had a huge demand in the west, I would expect to wait a similar amount of time as the OP3 warriors game. So about 5-6 months I guess.

Because no better canon fodder than trolls am i right ?  :ubik:

Character designs looks somewhat weird but im not that concerned about visuals, more about gameplay itself. Didn't they said they'll release a gameplay vid featuring Guts soon?

Pretty cool from what we can see. Very curious to see the battle between Guts and Grunbeld in movement...

Not gonna lie, despite my total disinterest in Musou games.... what I'm seeing looks pretty damn cool.

Definitely look forward to seeing more.

Here are a few more details via NeoGaf:

Quote
-The game takes place from golden age up to black swordsman
-Some scenes from 1997 anime and movie are used, as well as brand new stuff for the game. There will be a lot of scenes.
-the game is not directly tied with the newly airing Berserk anime. The game is made so even people who are not familiar with Berserk can enjoy
-There are huge boss battles, 1v1 against boss, fighting against small enemies and boss popping up during the battle
-lots of boss characters in the game, like Zodd and bull/ox monster.
-Guts' fighting style changes as the story progresses in the manga, and the game will reflect that in the gameplay
-As with other Musou games, Guts is not the only playable character.
-the game's visual style will be similar to the poster
-The core target audience for the game is the fans of the original manga. But newcomers will also be able to enjoy the game.
-Japan and West have different restrictions for gore/erotic. Japan is more strict on gore stuff, while West is more strict on erotic stuff. So they want to get the balance right while staying true to the original.
-they will release a video featuring Guts soon.

From the same guy on the Koei Warriors forum:
Quote
-#Berserk Warriors dev progress is 70% as of this week. First print incentive is an extra costume for Casca drenched in water.
-#Berserk Warriors has 2 directors 川合大 Kawai & 河原淳 Kawahara (can't determine their firstnames yet), both of them follow Berserk for long.
-The reason why there are 2 directors for #Berserk Warriors is because Producer Koinuma is very busy now that he's also COO of Koei Tecmo.
-Many moves from original #Berserk works are being assigned to △ (Charge) attacks in Berserk Warriors
-Guts' sub-weapon will unlock accordingly as story progresses in #Berserk Warriors. In Golden Age arc he doesn't have prosthetic arm yet.
-Once Guts has his prosthetic arm in #Berserk Warriors he'll be able to do things like shooting cannons. Also the Berserker Armor is in.
-Giant bosses in #Berserk Warriors are being handled in a different approach from Zelda/Hyrule Warriors.
-#Berserk Warriors will also include some footages of the 2012 movie version in the game. Game size is approaching PS4 BD disc space limit.
-Koei Tecmo will be releasing #Berserk Warriors for #PS3 in Digital-only in Japan. Yes, even Japan gets Digital-only.
-Schierke is also shown in #Berserk Warriors 1st Famitsu batch. Game's storyline confirmed at least from Golden Age to Schierke's appearance.
-First confirmed locations in #Berserk Warriors
剣の丘 Hill of Swords
ゾッドの間 Zodd's Space
魔女の館 Witch's Mansion
バズーソ城 Bazuso Castle

Charming  :schierke:

I know right!? Did they not learn from the teaser that sexualising characters (such as Casca) would give people who have never heard of Berserk the completely wrong impression? Boggles my mind, not really happy about that at all.

I do hope the cannon shot is limited to like one per stage, otherwise it might become too broken. I never played any Dynasty warriors game, so I dunno how it functions. It would be cool though if we could return to Godot's place for repair and upgrades, or maybe even Rickert could help.

Godot's place would be like central hub/nexus for Guts  :guts:

So it's all the way up to Schierke?  :schierke:

Okay, then it's going to be like 100 hours right? This is going to be very much a "best of" compilation adaptation, I just hope they do a better job of which events to put into the game as opposed to what the anime movies did (or shall I say, did not include). :carcus:
