Spirited Away will be released in US

Hey, I just came across this news. I thought I should post it here. This article state that Disney will released this movie. That's great. I never thought that would happen since Princess Monooke bombed at the threater.

Thanks. Spirited away is supposed to me about a 10 year old girl who meets this pig and its sort of Alice in Wonderland movie. She goes to this demon world or something. I heard this movie top the box office in Japan. It the highest grossing movie ever in Japan. Its directed by Hayao Miyazaki. He a really famous director and he is known for great story telling.

she doesnt meet a pig. her parents went into an empty house and ate some food which turned them into pigs. she then gets stuck in another "world" and looks for a way out.

Why AICN is blatant shit...
This was known years ago, back when the Tokuma-Disney deal went down. At that time Mononoke had not yet been completed, and the deal was they would have the rights to PM(along with many others), including Spirited Away. They donated 10 million dollars to help finance the project in exchange for the worldwide(outside Japan) distribution rights. If they didn't release it that would be 10 million down the drain.
Pretty sad how they're several years behind in all this. Just another reason why that website is a steaming pile of crap. And I don't say that just because the webmaster sent me scat pr0n of his mother, either.

My impression of AICN is that it's the primary visitors are people who use MSN/AOL.
